While only official votes sent to this account will count, do feel free to also campaign for other categories if you wish or discuss the year of 2024 here at the Syndicate in this thread.

Voting Guidelines
- All members of the Syndicate Community are eligible to vote. Your membership is defined as having an account on this forum.
- You may place up to 2 (TWO) votes in each Award Category except where otherwise noted.
- You are not required to vote in every category.
- All votes must be submitted to the Sockys2024 Account to be counted. (Clicking this link will take you there)
- Voting will remain open until 11:59 PM Thursday, April 3rd, approximately 2 weeks from when this is announced. Award Reveals will happen approximately one week after that.
- Discussion about votes places and nominations is encouraged!! Some performances, moments, and members might be forgotten over the course of the year, this is an opportunity to resurface them.
- Voting for yourself for an individual award (or a game you hosted), is not permitted. If we discover that this happens, we will inform you of this, and that particular vote will not count until you replace it with a legal vote. However, you MAY vote for Team awards for teams you were part of.
- You may change or remove votes if you like. If you do change your vote, your final vote in any particular category is the one that we will count.

Best Walrus Submitter
This award celebrates a fun non-mafia activity we enjoy on the side, since we're secretly really a music fan site (Syndicate history lesson -- two of the main forums that many of our earliest users came from were music focused). If you don't know what Walrus is or have not participated, feel free to skip -- but join us in the future! In your opinion, who was the best submitter of music to Walrus music events in the Syndicate this year? This award is intended to members who submitted music, not hosted.
All active Members who participated in a Walrus are eligible for this award. If you'd like to search walrus reveal history from this year, the Walrus discord server is open to all members.
Turnip Head Award
This award was formerly known as the Spirit Award and celebrates our intent for the Syndicate to be a community first and foremost. Which player or user do you feel did the most in 2024 to make The Syndicate, both the site proper and its various Discord servers/channels, a welcoming, fun, and safe place to spend your time and play Mafia or engage in other activities? Prioritize factors however you choose.

Lifetime Achievement Award
Last but far from least. This award can be viewed as a sort of "Hall of Fame" induction, not to be confused with the Hall of Fame forum on this site where we keep statistical track of each game and player. This award does not refer only to 2024 game play. It refers to the entire body of work (referring specifically to their Mafia play and/or hosting) for a player's time on this website from the day they registered.
Not everyone is eligible to be inducted this year. This will function similarly to an athletic Hall of Fame, like those seen for professional sports. This year, only players who joined The Syndicate in the year 2020 or earlier are considered to be eligible for a Lifetime Achievement Award. Last year the cutoff was at 2019, and now we have advanced it one year. Next year the cutoff will be 2021. Again, to be eligible for the Lifetime Achievement Award, your nominee must have joined the site during or before the year 2020.
