Honestly, I just voted quickly. I had one minute until the vote ended and I did NOT want to miss another one.

The poll time has reached an unsustainable point for me, and my efforts to dial it back have been futile. Your patience today will be appreciated.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER I]
Wow. That was very interesting indeed.
As much as I have been thinking Isaac is bad - Rebecca, Ruth, Samuel... a who's who of people without the best voting records... that looked an awful lot like a save could have gone in. And this late in the game, they might be feeling like a single lynch could swing it...
If Ruth survives this and we discover Isaac is a vanilla civvie, I'd say Samuel and Rebecca would be a very good place to look for heathen.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER I]
Second Mafioso
Chapter I
1 The people of Sin-d’kaht were troubled and sore afraid, for heathens still were among them. 2 They were aggrieved that Ruth was alive, and so they plotted a way to destroy her. 3 And while they plotted, some advised them, saying, “Leave Ruth alone, for she is the handiwork of death.” 4 But they heard that voice not, and proceeded to stone her. 5 They buried Ruth outside the city quickly in hopes that her harlotry was forgotten quickly. 6 For it was said by outsiders that she was resurrected by the Lord, and that the Lord was honoring her wicked ways. 7 “If she returns from the dead again, then we will know that it is the work of the Lord and not the work of Death. 8 But if she does not return, then we will know that it is not the work of the Lord.” 9 And in their haste, no man took sleep.Stream my music for free: https://epignosis.bandcamp.com/

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
I am happy now. Who are we lynching today? Lazarus? Isaac?
I'll be honest, the late train on Isaac (looking at you, Spacedaisy) makes me not want to vote for him very much.

Looking back at the votes, I kind of want to lynch Rahab. This is yet another black mark on her already ebony record.

Sorry I missed the vote, I would have voted Ruth.
Does anyone know why the Chapters have restarted? Did we start a new Book?

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
I lean toward Lazarus though there is one thing I am wondering. If Lazarus is Simon what day did his votes start to accrue to Lot? It seems like there would be 7 or 8 by now and Ruth was lynched by only 5 votes. Wouldn't Lot have been lynched instead if he had votes accruing to him all this time? Lot, am I missing something here? Are you still thinking Lazarus is Simon the Zealot after last nights vote?Absalom wrote:I am happy now. Who are we lynching today? Lazarus? Isaac?

Esther i think you are just mad at me because i directed Absalom's question to you. I thought it was the fair thing to do - give you a chance to answer first. You seemed defensive at the time and now you just seem to be trying to find reasons to find me bad. I don't understand why you would doubt Epi subbed me in for Bathsheba 1.0. This happens all the time in games. And now you doubt Isaac is a replacement? Funny you never mentioned that before now.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
I understand why my vote looks bad, but the truth is I came in thinking I may have missed the vote, saw I had literally one minute and voted in a panic. If I were a heathen, it would have been really fucking stupid to out myself in such a way to save a confirmed teammate. And I am not sure that I would have voted any differently if I had not cast a panic vote at the last minute. I don't trust a Rez by a dead role with a win con I don't know, but that I know wasn't on my team. So I stand by my vote.
I find it interesting that Lot, who pushed for us NOT to vote Ruth, is eyeballing the people who didn't. That makes no sense.
It would be a severe mistake to lynch me, I can say that. Because I am civ. I highly recommend you look elsewhere.

Also, I think there were only three or four votes that Laz voted Lot ifit not mistaken.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
Thanks Samuel - I'll count the votes. It didn't occur to me he didn't vote him every time. It just seems like it was a lot of times.Samuel wrote:Also, I think there were only three or four votes that Laz voted Lot ifit not mistaken.
Linki: I also have no idea why the chapters started over. I don't know my bible as well as I should.
Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
It looks like Lazarus never showed yesterday, so I'm fairly comfortable leaving him at least another day.Absalom wrote:I am happy now. Who are we lynching today? Lazarus? Isaac?

I agree with you that the train on Isaac leaves me fairly comfortable leaving him another day.
I'm feeling pretty civ about Rahab - I'm certain I know who is behind the sock and I think they know who I am too, which is why I think they were taking my lead on Isaac. But Rebecca, Deborah and Samuel all look snaky and in my opinion the worst of all over the last few votes is Samuel but, Isaac, I will be bringing out the technicolour vote lists shortly and you can all see.
@Bathsheba - I actually think Laz may have only voted for me twice at this point, maybe three times, but again I'll do those lists and see. The longer he just misses votes, the longer I'm ok delaying his lynch, because I'm only really worried when it starts getting up to four or five.

Also, it's possible Lazarus is tactically not voting some days, such as yesterday. The Zealot's role says:
"for each Day in a row that he votes the same person, his vote increases by one."
What's unclear to me is - epi, you could help her - If the zealot takes a day off from voting the same person, does their vote reset to being worth one?

So, Lazarus is no threat to me today if he is the zealot. It merely means my vote continues to be wasted.
I shall vote Lazarus, because he probably deserves it.
And I'll try to do a vote analysis of those who voted Isaac when I get a moment, to see if we can see some as more scummy than others.

All right, Lot. I g=could get behind a Deborah vote. Her Day 3, 4,and 5 votes all look pretty bad. Her Day 6 vote, and missing the Day 9 vote make her look less bad, but I see where you're coming from and I think the balance of the evidence points at her being Heathen.

Actually, I didn't notice before, but Samuel's voting record is downright terrible, but without the redeeming qualities of Deborah's. I'd vote for him today over her.

I agree that Samuel looks the worst of them, and as of right now he is my preferred option. I want to go back and do a bit of a read and case though, we could get into trouble if we don't think things through. We also need to bear in mind that we don't know when Judas may have been recruited, so it's worth looking for someone with good early vote patterns that goes bad later.Absalom wrote:Actually, I didn't notice before, but Samuel's voting record is downright terrible, but without the redeeming qualities of Deborah's. Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
Let me be clear. Lynching me will not get the result you all are hoping for unless you are not a civ. No one good will like the end result. You can present voting records in whatever way you want. Civs can have bad voting records. I am not bad in any way shape or form. Lynching me would be a tactical mistake, plain and simple.

It was surely curious wording too, don't you think Absalom?
If I interpreted it purely at face value, my instinctual read is that Samuel is trying to imply he is a horseman with civ-friendly win conditions.

I'll be honest, the late train on Isaac (looking at you, Spacedaisy) makes me not want to vote for him very much.

Esther i think you are just mad at me because i directed Absalom's question to you. I thought it was the fair thing to do - give you a chance to answer first. This happens all the time in games. And now you doubt Isaac is a replacement? Funny you never mentioned that before now.
I am not now doubting Isaac's replacement. I don't remember reading of his replacement, honestly. I know its not honorable, but I don't read every word, every post made in a game. I just simply don't have the time. I skim if I am behind and I do miss things.
Does that mean he gains a vote against him or does that mean his vote becomes worth 2, then 3, then 4, etc. Because if his vote increases, then why would he skip voting?Lot wrote:Also, it's possible Lazarus is tactically not voting some days, such as yesterday. The Zealot's role says:

I agree about Samuel's voting record as well and would backup Lot and Absalom by voting there. But I am willing to hear him out as well.
Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]
Two potential explanations for Lazarus skipping voting - one good, one bad.Esther wrote:Because if his vote increases, then why would he skip voting?.
1) If he is good, skipping voting means he won't vote me and thus won't lynch me (this also has the side effect that I don't try all out to lynch him) - good for the town overall.
2) If he is bad, skipping voting means there is never any firm evidence he is NOT the zealot.

I obviously don't trust isaac. Lot's recent behavior has me questioning him. I realize we have no reason basis to judge Bathsheba on, but I don't want to give someone a pass just because they replaced in. I don't know. If I had a better idea of who bad my voting record wouldn't be so bad now would it?

I feel certain that Jonah is not a heathen. Either he is horseman or he is civ. Bit I think it is extremely unlikely he is heathen. I don't feel any need to vote there ay the moment.
And come on, why would a heathen vote for Ruth? That is the stupidest thing a heathen could have done. It would be an easy vote for her team matters to use to look civ. I voted the way I decided in that split second and I have no regrets about my vote. You are declaring isaac good based on my late vote in part. Consider if I am civ, what does that mean for isaac? Samuel, here is the question Absalom asked - who do you think is bad and why not who do you think is bad and good. Your answer just is odd in the context of the question. And by the way, you were supposed to explain why on people you think may be bad so could you explain why you think I could be bad? What have i done that causes you to think that over so many others. I am not saying you are bad here I'm just trying to understand your second response to Absalom and what your reasoning is on me.Absalom wrote:I am continually baffled that people think saying "I am not bad" without any accompanying evidence is persuasive.Samuel wrote:Let me be clear. I'm really over this kind of attitude. It's exactly what Isaac said when he was first called out too. Being called suspicious is not the same as 'everyone has decided to lynch me'. There is nothing that turns me into tunnel-vision-central quite as badly as the person who thinks that getting a bit of suspicion as the same as 'you all want to lynch me'.Samuel wrote:No. You all have already decided to lynch me so do it.
So, lets play 'be a civilian' for a second - can you not see how suspicious Isaac's vote train looks even if YOU are civ.

I can't speak for others, but I haven't decided any such thing. I am curious about the Jonah reference though. Why did you bring him up instead of Malchus or someone else inactive? It was so out of the blue and specific. I'm interested in weird things.Samuel wrote:No. You all have already decided to lynch me so do it. Then see how badly you have played this game. You say you don't believe there was a wagon on Isaac because your vote was honest, but those things aren't mutually exclusive. Your vote could be honest, and Rahab's and Deborah's could be sinister.
Why do the mafia deserve to win when we've lynched all but two of them? I think we're doing rather well. If you really are concerned about the civ cause, try helping us baddie hunt instead of pouting. It's unbecoming.
