I seriously doubt you think I am bad.
If I had BTSC, I would have definitely already asked them when the phase ended.

I seriously doubt you think I am bad.
Why? I've been entirely open about the fact that I don't intend to engage with these massive cases on me and copious questioning. Why would it come as a surprise to you now that I'm open about it?TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:00 pmThis post does not make me feel great about Golden.

The most important question is, why does that make me bad? The only logical response I can see is 'because I don't like it'. You don't have to like it.
And then lied about it.
that and if he is silenced, he cant technically vote in thread like everyone else, so the poll is his only option. (which i would assume the mods are going to count it if role shenanigans are involced)TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 7:58 pmI considered a forced vote. Since he's silent (been silenced?), he can't really tell us. Can the mod force a player's vote in the polls?
He could have been silenced, have info about Golden from some sort of info power, and wanted to give the town some direction.
Those are the only two reasons I could think of.
You're not a civvie so I don't care about building trust with you.Dom wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:04 pmNo.Golden wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:02 pmWhy? It shows no regard for building trust so the civvies can win.
I'm not being a dick. it's nothing personal, I'm playing this game a particular way, you're not going to have fun if you try to change it because it isn't going to change. Just roll with it, I'm having fun.
1. explain
Maybe you should take me less seriously. I'd rather lc die than you.
More likely that he's silenced. And he voted early to say, "Hey! I'm silenced!!" Seems unlikely that he was targeted for a silence by one team and a forced vote by the other. More likely he was silenced, I think, because he hasn't posted.
is this the one i should read, golden?Golden wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 4:27 pm Here's why I think LC is bad.
Bad LC forgets to play the ball. He gets driven into arguments that look good in semantics, but actually betray a lack of full thought. In this case, the ball is 'golden is avoiding LD statements'.
What is the first thing a person might do if they genuinely thought another player was avoiding LD statements? I would iso that player to see if it's accurate. I'd actually go look at how many LD statements they've made. I invite anyone to do that now.
You will see that my post history is full of 100% ironclad LD statements. My guess is that most of them amount to someone saying 'golden is bad' and me replying by saying 'you're wrong'. Because anyone who says I am bad is wrong. But I'm sure I've also given any number of other things that amount to 'I am civilian' or 'I am not bad'.
Instead, LC decides to fixate on the one statement I made that I knew could have the same effect even if all of those other statements were not allowed. He ignores the fact that I said 'I've made plenty' before making that one. He doesn't check to see if that's correct. He just fixates on the new ones I'm trying to think of that might enable me to beat any particular rule that could be in place. He wants to hang me because 'I don't know what rule might be in place', but if I actually were bad, don't you think I'd have asked what rule was in place?
I give him one that ought to be tailored right to his wheelhouse. LC has seen me in action both as a teammate and host. He knows that I do not bail on taking part of a team for any phase unless I really have to. What's his comeback? He agrees that I wouldn't fail to take part if I could, but I might have been too busy. A person who has a real suspicion, and was playing the ball, would go and look to see if that made sense in context, not just throw it out as a hypothetical. In fact, looking at the thread, it is very clear that I was entirely here and could have taken part.
LC is playing me, the player, he isn't actually looking to see whether I'm making LD statements.

Btw, I'd also like to point out, in terms of 'towniness meter', that while I've thrown out reads on nearly everyone in the game without problem (and been happy to adapt those reads), this has been generally criticised by the same people who see me as bad. In the mean time, I think a quick iso of Dom and LC would show you a distinct lack of reads. They are getting by, mostly focusing on me.
Dom and LC, want to prove you aren't bad? Start engaging with more than your cases on me.
At this point, if I had my vote back, I'd probably lean a vote on LC before Dom. Dom tunnels do happen from town Dom, and I can see how me voting him could get under his skin in a way. But LCs tunnels are usually well reasoned - even if the theories are out there, they fit with a thoughtful analysis of the facts. This is completely lacking here... he isn't taking a step back to consider what I'm saying, it's just discredit discredit discredit. This is my experience of bad LC. I remember another game... Bullets over Broadway maybe? Where the same thing happened.
I don't know any such thing and have no interest in trying to convince anyone to vote for you. The only person who sees both of you as potentially bad and engaged with me in the matter so far voted for lc.
Yes and the stuff around it.
Meh, I'm not particularly tunnelled on Dom. That's why I want LC to go, I feel far more convinced about him than Dom. Dom's recent exchanges have me feeling more town about him than I did before, and he is beginning to cast his net wider. Dom, Wilgy and Rico are all exceptionally tunnelled on me, none of them have ever exhibited a hint of doubt that I'm bad.
I mean, if dom let me not engage with him, dom/golden wouldn't be a thing.
(Golden stonewalled me in his own words, so nice try)Elohcin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:12 pm Dom. I don't like this back and forth you're having with golden. I think golden is civ, and even though this may be civ on civ, I don't think it is. You seem to be tunneling. Yes, you recently started engaging with others, but I think it's only to try to save yourself/make yourself look better. The interactions don't seem very genuine. Golden, on the other hand, has not only been taking part in the back and forth with you, but has also been playing what looks like a genuine and meaningful game, engaging in other conversations. It seems as though you may feel stuck in hole and you're only focused on climbing out of that hole. I've been in that position before as a baddie and know what it's like. I just cannot decide if I ought to vote you or take a chance that Tony may be marcus. It would be great to get any baddie today, but awesome to get the +2 vote guy.
With that in mind... what's the general thoughts on tony being marcus? It was mentioned and talked about a little bit earlier today but I haven't heard a general consensus. I don't stay up late like many of you and I need to vote soon. I'd love some feedback on my thoughts.
This I don't buy.
WTF Dom, give a lady time to respond. I may be in the kitchen vacuuming up pepper that my 5 year old spilt all over the floor when reaching for a banana. Seriously. It just happened.Dom wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:11 pm lynch me
i don't want to play if this is how we play now.
watch out for timmer never actually catching up. that's classic baddie timmer.
When I come up civ, remember how wrong Golden was. Remember how I was told repeatedly that I had written nothing when I wrote many posts giving well thought out reasons for him being bad

Yeah, it was still my gut read, and I just felt like voting at that time.sprityo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:26 pm Alright i think i see what youre getting at, Golden, and i can see why speedchuck would agree with you on voting LC, even though you already voted dom for, pressure was it? or it was just a gut read that you are okay with but still think LC is a better lynch?
I have, you know, asked other people questions AND made statements about other players too.sprityo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:26 pm Alright i think i see what youre getting at, Golden, and i can see why speedchuck would agree with you on voting LC, even though you already voted dom for, pressure was it? or it was just a gut read that you are okay with but still think LC is a better lynch?

well arent you just directing it all TOWARDS Golden?
I've made it clear that our hostess should speak up on this.Epignosis wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:27 pmThis I don't buy.
I have hosted so many games and been bad many times, and lately, BTSC is quiet. People go for days without talking.
I find it hard to believe that you would ask your teammates when the phase ended rather than take two seconds to scroll upward and look at the poll deadline.
maybe I want to be out.
I love this post by the way. It's the point at which my mind on Dom began to turn.Dom wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:11 pmwatch out for timmer never actually catching up. that's classic baddie timmer.

Well, I don't particularly like how people think they can have expectations of me about how I have to play that they'd never expect from more enigmatic players. I bet you wouldn't expect Wilgy or Marmot to engage on your case of them the way you expect me to...
agreed
maybe just take a break for tonight, sometimes over saturation can lead to sensory overload and you make rash statements
