I am not inclined to vote for wilgy. As a loose impression I feel like zany, befuddling wilgy is more apt to be town. In recent memory, I cite Pirates wilgy (town) posting exclusively in emojis vs. Vocaroo/Seinfeld/Mountains wilgy (mafia) who featured no notable gimmicks that I can remember. His blind insistence that I am bad strikes me as a wilgy gimmick.

This game doesn't strike me as a gimmick. It strikes me as a ploy to cover up his lower-effort mafia play.

OK, let’s try and analyse what is happening here in this fog of nonsense and frustration...

The only role that has the standard ability to “make someone insane with a curse of her choice (and force that player to vote in accordance with her bidding) is Sindel. It is conceivable then (given the number of players cursed with this utterly stupid mechanic) that:

1) one of our afflicted friends may be Scorpion and they and their target were the victims of an insanity curse and

2) given that we have at least six players afflicted by this nonsense (i.e. JackofHearts2005, JaggedJimmyJay, Kylemii, Nutella (???), Quin and now Sig) I think it’s likely that at least four of these victims were targeted with secret ‘one-off’ abilities that I hope we will not see again after this Day phase. I’d just like to say at this point, given that Sindel is supposed to be a Town role, the use of your ability is NOT conducive in ANY WAY to helping us solve this game and the best thing you can do for your team is to DESIST from using that ability from this point forward. If you can’t see that, then you’re not helping our cause one little bit!

3) there may potentially be some influence here due to the Chaosrealm thing but looking at how everyone voted in the Night 0 poll, it’s not clearly evident to me.

I find it interesting (looking at the roles) that Jax disables his target from posting or voting. The only people that are yet to post so far today by my reckoning are (excluding birdwithteeth, Dom and Gumshoe who haven’t turned up at all): Simon (seriously, how on earth could you tell?), Dave and novaselinever. Again, this is another case where I can’t see how this role ‘helps’ us at all. The LAST THING we need in this game is to limit anyone’s ability to post in this thread and if you can’t see the logic there, you’re helping our Mafia friends more than us.

I guess the key message here is that we need to be more judicious in applying our abilities. Just because you have one, doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to use it. Please consider carefully the impact of your abilities on what we need to do to win this game - anything you do that limits someone else from questioning or be questioned is working against our primary win condition.

I keep defending against it because Jack keeps coming back to it as if saying "fuck" sometimes is a serious breach of my civvie meta. It's a ridiculous reason and I could have died yesterday because of it. I guess I just hate being misrepresented.

It was the same way when Epignosis came at me for 8 pages about using the word "information" in a way he wasn't used to and we had a weird fight debate about it and then we made up and became friends somehow.

Real game stuff like motivation for catching mafia or vote placement and things like that, I don't mind at all. I used to get mis-lynched for tonal stuff and semantics all the time, so I'm kind of sensitive to those kinds of accusations.
