Right now I am in agreement about Turnip Head but if you actually have a look at speedchuck's content it's pretty solid. The only thing that gives me pause about the chuck is that he seems absent from the discourse in an unusual way.

To answer your question, I harbor a moderate suspicion of DDL, but it has waned. DDL acts like any sudden shift in votes is someone saving someone, because, you know, there are always nine mafia members in a given phase. His "defense" of Sokoth sounds like more of the same.

The trouble is I don't have anyone I presently suspect more. I did vote MacDougall for a reason, but I see I didn't post what it was and I was smashed last night (ironic last post I made, wasn't it?), and I'll be damned if I remember what it was.

nutella jumping onto DDL and acting reluctant about it doesn't sit right with me, but me figuring her out goes about as well as Big Sexy is going to go tonight against the As.

I still suspect Enrique and I now suspect speedchuck because that post about how Golden could be bad was nothing more than a series of specific assumptions, an "anti-Occam's," if you will. It served no purpose, but looked busy.

Outside of these, no other option looks appealing. I need to figure out why.

Thought exercise.

Who would I be most impressed and/or awed by the play of in this game if they were Mafia in order.

1. Glorfindel - It would mean a complete renewal of his meta. Would be shocking.
2. Nutella - It would be the most impressed by Nutella I would have been if she is Mafia (probably is either way tbh) as I have not been pinged by her once which if she is Mafia is ideal and if she is a civ also ideal.
3. DharmaHelper - Based mostly on the fact that some of the decisions he has made would have been extremely bold if he is Mafia (like putting Sokoth on the poll).
4. Golden - It would mean having faked a lot of emotion. Basically an acting award.
5. speedchuck - I believe speedchuck is capable of having played the game that he is playing as Mafia but I have no reason to read him as Mafia yet.
6. Turnip Head - Turnip Head is more than capable of being Mafia here. He's a good player and he has focused heavily on spaceship games. That is what I would have done. If I was Mafia and a captain from day one I would say that Turnip Head's play is ideal.
7. Enrique - I would not be surprised except for his aggression for the most part has seemed townie. When he has been emotional he has looked town and when he has not he has looked bad to me.
8. Epignosis - Epignosis would not surprise me in the least. He's just cruising through. Threw out a breadcrumb that he is third party and as a result everyone has just looked elsewhere. He needs to come into focus at some point.
9. DDL - It is well documented why I feel that DDL is Mafia and it's hard to say that I would be awed/impressed if he flipped Mafia at this point.
10. INH - As far as I am concerned INH has played a prototypical scum game from a-z. I would be more impressed if he flipped civ at this point.

11. DFaraday - If he's scum he's doing the lurky lurk scum which is basically the least impressive version of scum
12. sig - If he's scum he's doing the lurky lurk scum which is basically the least impressive version of scum

Having done that exercise with myself I probably should drop Epi and speedchuck a bit and give Enrique a bit more credit in that aforementioned rainbow. If anyone has any desire to lynch sig or DFaraday I won't argue.

I'd say my biggest problem with Enrique are these two elements:

I don't worry about Glorfindel. It he's good, people can consider what he says. And mafia will have no choice but to kill him early.

In my head, this sounds like, "Really? People actually buy this shit? Meaning we have to kill Glorfindel instead of lynch him? What the hell?"

I voted myself because I've been incredibly uninvested in the game lately. It's kind of demoralizing to play knowing I'm probably never going to be on a crew, so I didn't really care if I got lynched. But after mostly catching up I'll try to get back into it, not that I can do much. Voting [VOTE: Marmot] aubergine because he's not me.

Also, Golden's sudden turnaround on me looks pretty bad, but I guess I'm biased on that.

I was beginning to think you weren’t coming back. Now that you’re back, tell us more about epis case on you. Why did you pick sokoth to be basically the one thing you noticed in that last catch up?

I didn't have a lot of free time last week, so I did a ton of skimming. Sokoth's novel-length defense against Nova caught my eye, and it struck me as wildly overblown, so I followed that thread.

DFaraday's really brief ISO just reeks of sincerity to me. I really think he is a civ.

I would've been the last person I picked because I may actually get lynched when today should be the day we get DDL instead, so there's that. I'm not sure why you picked me and I thought we were on a sort of similar wavelength but apparently not.

DFaraday. Golden made a good post about how he may have felt "caught" after Mac guaranteed us he was bad, when he just straight up left for the rest of the day right until it was time to save himself. He's actually been in the game and apparently keeping up from the start but with big gaps between posts. I think that period when he went missing only to come back and nail Sokoth doesn't absolve him at all, Sokoth's freakout was pretty bad and I think DF had the good instinct to know that he would be lynched over it. The player pool is getting smaller and I think there's a very good chance this guy is one of the ones we're looking for.

inh had that defense of Sokoth but I think he had to have known he would be lynched, right? He also said to us on the ship that Sokoth left him money, which is... pretty awkward to navigate around, especially since he decided to tell us two days after SQ was gone. He was absent all of Day 4 until right after the poll closed, even though I saw him reading the thread several times before that. I had a pretty good read on him early in the game but I don't really know what he's up to now, he's not really scumhunting or doing anything noteworthy.

If you had chosen yourself you would've been the least likely to get lynched, but especially given that we didn't know who else would be on the poll that's not so great. You had no reason to shield us so on the one hand I'm glad you didn't but on the other, why me lol.

So I wouldn't have minded either crewmate besides us but my answer is DF.

I actually had some of this in an earlier post. I tend to get wary when it feels like the game is stagnating, while all the top posters are continuing to push for stuff yet not dying, and that's what's been happening. Just a gut feel, when things go wrong. It happened in Courage mafia, but I died before it came to fruition.

That said, I could probably lump DDL in that group of high posters, so... yeah. DDL. Maybe you, but you've been busy and I can't read you for squat.
