We don't know that this is definitely a lynch. I understood it as DP will receive some kind of punishment, but not necessarily be killed. Was I the only one who took it that way?BigDamnHero wrote:is there anything really left to say? DP already has the majority of the votes. It'd take a miracle to save him at this point (cuz from what I've read I don't see an ability to stop lynches that occur at night).

ok, well not necessarily lynch but whatever this night poll is...though I could see it possibly being a lynch since it consists of non-participatory champions. Either way, I don't see a way of stopping the inevitable conclusion to this vote.

RIP Lizzy.
I'm voting gleam. He's not far behind DP and DP's got this one sowed up. Maybe a vote Gleam's way will help him come play with us.

Who are the Residents and what was the result of their wrath in the real game?

ohhhh so they probably aren't from one of the games - so no way to get a clue there as to what this poll is for.

Yeah, I'm going to go DP as well. The more I think about it, the Sockgate incident is likely behind our host and BDH, so voting that way would be fun but probably pointless.

JC - The Residents were a mafia team in both Avant games. In the first game, it was a secret mafia team. That was pretty awesome because nobody knew anything about us. Great fun wreaking havoc and everyone being all wtf? Second time I died far too soon. I do have a soft spot for those freeky eyeballs though.

Re: [NIGHT 3] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Actually, The Residents are an avant-garde group, whose identities hardly anyone actually knows (hence my Day 3 post title) because they always appear in eyeball masks (except now for Mr. Skull, whose Red Eyeball mask was stolen and defiled by a crazed fan a couple of decades ago), top hats, and tuxedos.
While their ethos is certainly punk-like (very very anti-establishment and anti-rules with regards to music), to call them a punk band would be an inaccuracy.
The music is pretty much impossible to describe, but it's really 'out there', and can be rather varied. (So if you're curious, listen to the Youtubes I post. )
And yes, I did use them as a secret team in Avant 1 and a mafia team in Avant 2.
For anyone who cares. Lol.

Well DP it is then. i am curious if this is going to be a switch and we will all be punished instead, for throwing a fellow champion under the bus. Seems like this is waay to straight forward.

Re: [NIGHT 3] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Night 3: The Festival of Death (Part 1)
"DisgruntledPorcupine, DisgruntledPorcupine, DisgruntledPorcupine!!!!" the crowd of Champions chanted, as they advanced on DisgruntledPorcupine with torches and pitchforks. DP stood, helpless, lifeless, knowing it didn't matter. He faked shock. This only made his fellow champions more mad. "He is not acting like a champion at all!!!! Get him!!!!" they exclaimed.
Zodac sat on a hill, off in the distance, contemplating. "This will seriously upset the balance of the universe..." he thought. There was no way he could let that happen. No. Someone else would have to go instead.
The mob was less than a second from mutilating DisgruntledPorcupine when he vanished into thin air and was replaced by Dom. Shocked, Dom started crying for everyone's attention, but to no avail. "I'm not DP!!!! Guys, it's Dom!!!" The mob couldn't hear him amid all of the attacking. When it was all over, the champions looked at each other first in regret at what they had done, and then were pleasantly surprised. "....Bob??" questioned Nevinera. "..Wow! That's fantastic."
With Bob out of the way, the champions sighed a deep sigh of relief. Only his one minion remained. Even though DP still lived, the champions couldn't have been happier with the result.
Dom has been killed by Zodac. He was Bob.

Night 3: The Festival of Death (Part 2)
Nevinera turned around and followed the content crowd of champions as they looked to find a place to rest for the night. Little did he know he was being followed. A strange figure attempted to murder him, but as always ever alert, Nevinera swiftly turned his body around and kicked the assailant in the groin. The murderer fell to the ground in pain. Nevinera moved on.
A gunshot was then heard. All of the champions looked around, frantically, in response to the surprise murder. It appeared one of them had fallen. It was Kate.
Kate has been killed by The Manipulators.

Re: [NIGHT 3] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions
Night 3: Super Mafia Bros.
The white light surrounded the champions. It was becoming commonplace.
A familiar tune began to play. Several of the champions' eyes lit up with pleasure. Above the head of agleaminranks appeared a gold-colored block with a question mark. Seeing a box-shaped shadow beneath him, he looked up. "Oh man, I've waited my whole life to do this!!!" Excited, he jumped up. The all-familiar question mark block sound rang, and out of the block came a mushroom. "Awesome!!!!"
Vompatti ninja'd him and stole the mushroom.
"Dammit, Vomps!" exclaimed agleaminranks, displeased. "That was mine!"
Vompatti shrugged his shoulders and responded, "ture".
It is now Day 4. You have 48 hours to stomp out evil.

Dealing with the blowout of Dom's death (ya know I love ya, but glad to see your role gone, hoss!) is a bit tedious and I wasn't in Twin Peaks, so maybe older vets can shine some light on this.
Here is the role description en totale:
Let me know if you see any fallacies with my logic above.
@ Host - Can that minion(s) still win with his/her original win condition?
Here is the role description en totale:
So Bob is dead, but the minions can still use their night power, which is a NK (unless one of us voted them that day). And they still have BTSC. But no more recruitment. There's only been one even night, so Bob has one minion max (if he didn't get blocked, etc). Looks like it would be very hard to win with that recruitment win condition now that Bob has bit it.• Bob – [Twin Peaks] - Wow, Bob, Wow. On even nights, can possess someone. That person will join his team and they gain BTSC. Bob himself cannot kill, but his minions can, unless they are under suspicion. Bob's minions collectively can NK someone every night, unless they receive at least one vote. To win, Bob and his minions need to outnumber everyone else. Minions can still use their NP, and even have BTSC. If Bob is killed, only his minions remain.

RIPIYWG Kate.
Not sure I understand what happened, but not gonna argue with the result.

Holy damn, what a lucky night.
And I'm glad someone hasn't gotten the hint yet.
Maybe the third times the charm?
Rip Kate.

Looks like Nev may have blocked something? Or intervened in some way. I'm a bit leery of reading too much into the post.
I love the thought of Vomps dressed as a ninja.

I forgot about this! Great times.Mongoose wrote:Was that the lynch poll with all options listed as Spaghetti Everywhere?Epignosis wrote: Does anyone remember >SpaghettiEverywhere Everywhere?
Whoa! That was an eventful night. I never thought I'd say this, but thank you Zodac! RIPIYWG, Kate. And good job surviving a second lynch, Nev, as long as you're civ.
'Goosey, having been a minion in Twin Peaks, this sounds right. Luckily, with BOB gone so early, we should have time to find the minion using the lynch polls and kill attempts as evidence.Mongoose wrote: So Bob is dead, but the minions can still use their night power, which is a NK (unless one of us voted them that day). And they still have BTSC. But no more recruitment. There's only been one even night, so Bob has one minion max (if he didn't get blocked, etc). Looks like it would be very hard to win with that recruitment win condition now that Bob has bit it.
Let me know if you see any fallacies with my logic above.
How many of these solid-human-waste-on-wheaty-treats sayings are there? I know there's crap on a cracker, now there's feces on a funnel cake....What about poop on a pancake? Shit on a scone? Doo-doo on a donut? Am I missing more?Mongoose wrote:Feces on funnel cake, that's a lot to process.
DP - what do you think about what's been occurring over the last few days? Got any pings?
As for DP, what do people make of Zodac saving him? In MOTU, iirc, Zodac was an indie, and though there was lots of speculation about how he "brought balance to (stuff)", I don't remember him actually doing anything like that. He couldn't have a teammate, could he?

Also, is it weird to anyone else that MP stated so plainly that there was a minion? I hate to overanalyze night posts, and I believe the statement, I'd just have thought he'd leave us hanging.
I should also say, I'm looking BWT's way today. I think there are other candidates out there worth watching as well, though, especially after the night post, so hopefully we can have a rip-roaring discussion.

So there was no word about the Piranha Plant eating someone or a NP or deadie. And last night was an odd night, so a kill could have been made/attempted. That makes me think that the Piranha Plant player is a no-show.
@ Host - With some chronically low participation, I can guess what your answer will be, but can you confirm if there were missing PMs for Night 3?
Russti hoss, you have me in stitches. I say "Poop on a Pineapple" and "Crap on a Catapault" a lot IRL and Leslie Knope from Parks & Rec does similarly. Also, your suggestions were hilarous. I like to mix them up. I say "Poop on a Porcupine" IRL but not while on-site because I don't want it to sound like I'm impugning DP's hygiene.

I thought about that, but I just assumed he meant "if such a person exists, that person cannot win with his/her former win condition."Russtifinko wrote:Also, is it weird to anyone else that MP stated so plainly that there was a minion? Did anyone else interpret it differently?
