The first few posts in 112's iso are mostly shitposts, nothing to see here. There is some shade thrown Ted's way by calling him mafia, and there's suspicion on Hally's tone, but unexplained.
When 112 returns to the thread, she immediately jumps the gun and comes in guns blazing with two scumreads -- on me, and on Poison. The one on me is explained by "stilted tone" and "repeating his cases" to "mimic progression." From my perspective, I... don't really understand it. I can't even call it outlandish, I just don't understand it and can't really respond to it. I've experienced that before while being scumread by mafia. This is a very similar feeling, and it's the reason I began to suspect 112 after she had returned to the thread.
112's read on Poison baffles me for many of the same reasons. It says that there are multiple elements in Poison's post about me, lists them all, then says there is nothing there... so IS THERE something, or is there nothing? And then there is a sudden complaint about tone, because "some of Poison's posts seem exaggerated." ...But tutuu is doing a similar thing, for example. And for some reason, that didn't seem to ring any alarm bells, did it?
#663. This one's actually correct, but I'm town and I'm doing this as town. I'd like to have actual backup and evidence for my reads this time around, thank you. And since my memory is very, very poor, posting like this helps me just like it (hopefully) helps some other people.
#665. Another post I don't understand. "Forced image of originality?" What... How did you get there? Why do you think so? Yet again, I'm stumped and I can't really respond. This is so far removed from what I could envision as a viable reason for scumreading me that it makes me believe it's false.
The next few posts are relatively "small" and attract much less attention. That said, I dislike these two posts in particular.
I think these two posts read like "mafia trying to look productive." Once again, I don't understand what 112's doing here, or where she's coming from. The read on Ash is pure hedge. "Very towny on the surface, but has potential TMI on me." These feel like two things which should never go together in a read on someone, if that makes sense. 112 picked two extremes here and seemingly called it a day. "Throwing it out there."112 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 2:14 pmI'm reading dunya's posts with a magnifying glass. I think there could be something there.tutuu wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 2:12 pm im not immediately finding dunya town which saddnends me, townreading her was one of the highlights of this game that i was looking forward to
reasons for why could i not be townreading her but she could still be town:
1) its been a while since we played. a few months. maybe im not remembering stuff properly
2) she could be tired cuz its late and maybe she had a long day at work
3) im biased cuz i already have so much townreads and im hesitant to make more. but i dont think thats true. but it could be
And the post about dunya is just "nothing," as 112 called Poison's post earlier. Why even write this post? I don't see a good reason why town would write this post, not even spontaneity, but mafia would write this post to look productive. It isn't written in a relaxed way, either, and that is something which would make this post look townier. 112 is the one with a very stilted tone, in my opinion. Which is ironic, considering what she accused me of. Remember? Stilted tone. Oh, and repeating my cases all the time. Which I'm not doing in this post, and which I haven't done in half my posts at least.
Finally, #803 is very cheap and not original, but that's less relevant in comparison to what I've already written.
Overall, I think 112's push on me is in bad faith, and perhaps the one on Poison as well. I don't understand half of the arguments 112 has used in both. Her contributions to the game outside of these two scumreads can be boiled down to "a few posts which look designed to seem mildly productive" and "fluffposting/shitposting early, with shade thrown Hally's way that never developed into anything beyond." Overall, this looks actively scummy, and I actually have confidence in this read unlike my earlier proddings.
That's all.Spoiler: show

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
Vulgard, do you have a history with Arete where she's usually scum reading you as scum and you immediately town read her for it?
Would you say you get fooled by that a lot on your home site?

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
Just to let you know, me and mich, we are from the same site, and if we go by my game history, I have played most games with her, yet I don't remember her being a scum once. But I have had heard stories or rather other's meta on scum!mich.
So basically, mich enters the thread, some quick tidbits about the players which are NAIs. The only noteworthy thing might be her 2nd post in the game. A reply to hall's wallie. Well, she behaves really casual as if it's no big a deal. I don't like the tone she says she won't be pressured by a wallie from Hally. Later she also says that she has no intentions to make any effort in this game.
The thing is, her not being pressured by the wallie is acceptable cause ofc no one would feel pressured, but I don't like how she said it out instead of replying to the wallie itself or asking Hally any questions about it, cause generally even if you are not pressured you would still like to know and clear stuff up, for her part it seems more like she just wants to let others know that she won't be pressured. A scummy thing if you ask me.
She continues to accept that Hally scum reads her and actually never clearing anything. Additionally, when Ash gave his read on mich, she again, refuses to defend herself or clear anything rather says it's a wrong conclusion about her.
Dunya scum reads her, she locks her town. And she only replied that she is formal cause she knows bookish English in defense. I never liked her "I like this" reply to a very random see-you-soon post from Dunya. When I asked her she said it was not a read and she just liked the post. But when Hally asked her she said "not wolfy to me" upon more quarry she said "wording, tone, vibe are not forced, too lazy to expand"
Here when I asked her she tried to dodge that question at first then replied to it when I asked again. Similar thing happened when Hally asked her and instead of replying she gave her a link to another game which didn't even cover the whole thing Hally asked.
Basically no reads on ash, yet she votes ash when the thread was Sring Ash iirc. And exactly in the next post after she returned, she voted Dunya but the reasoning is pretty lame tbh at least coming from mich, besides she gives a theory about dunia-poison but it's very clumsy and weird which in her later posts with Hally is quite prominent that she is not clear about it herself.
The thing is, throughout the game she refused to talk about the scum reads on her or question it even when she was the top wagon. She dodged questions. Her tone feels "overconfident" or rather pretending to be confident.
Overall I don't like any of these from mich. She gave some reads but those are really thin and most without the bare minimum reasons. Won't comment on Her activity but despite that she is pretty scummy. Would be voting this slot but idk yet if I want to give her another day or not cause she plays well later in the game.

She isn't actively scummy to me, but she's not doing herself any favors by posting in an underwhelming way like this, and I'm pretty certain she knows this. The fact she knows this is the reason I townread this, but I feel somewhat guilty about townreading this type of play.NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 4:23 am I feel like this is what I’ve seen happen to Michelle literally every time I’ve seen her play town here tbh

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
Good job, Poison!
Ted -- I've read Arete correctly for about ~20+ games in a row now. If you're curious about whether I'm telling the truth, I can link you those reads in games on my homesite. I'm positive Arete's town in the game we're playing right now.
The reason they can't get there on me is probably a mixture of paranoia and the fact I'm posting in a different style in comparison to most other games I've previously played. I'm trying to figure out if I do better like this.

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
Is this an ordered list? If so why is arete no. 1? Is she that obv town to you? Does meta plays any role here?
Secondly, yeah I do remember you town reading me from the beginning, but you had doubts with me somewhere in the middle then you asked for my scum game and I'm in your towncore atm. Are you clearing me only based on my meta?

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
The list is ordered alphabetically, if you haven't noticed. It's not "read strength" ordered. I think they are all towny enough to deserve a spot in the towncore.
I'm clearing you for a combination of reasons. It's only partially a meta thing. I think you've been towny enough even without that, but the existence of said meta further supports my read and gives me additional justification to propel you into my towncore.
I'm comfortable about these seven and I will work alongside them to box the wolves in.

I like the TSP wagon composition. Literally all town from my perspective.
On my site, we've had plenty of yeets where only town voted and it was a misyeet, but maybe things are different here?

Reading 3H villager by the fact i know she likes to wolf so she would post more just for this reason, putting Dr.W aside because this is what he did in a previous game as villager so i don't think lynching him has any benefit for town, putting Hally outside suspicion for now.
Of course i liked what i read from Hally too, i think she is villagery like 90%.
Nanook kept his place for me in village.
Poison is fluffing so idk. Reads list is lazy, but she puts me in scum part usually so this is not something bad per se, what is concerning is she didn't vote me.
Tutuu - i like tutuu
Vulgard is very logic in approach, I found myself liking the post i read, and I didn't have any doubt of not being genuine
Ted looks like he tried to sort my slot, this is a good look for him.
Ash i have no meta, but his play looked like he has an agenda, this is gut level read
TSP i didn't read much fo his posts, he claimed mafia, i would not surprised for this to be true
112 idk, i never read 112 accurate
LC, Arete, Dunya - there is one wolf at least in this trio just by trusting SBPNWWE (sortbypostcountnewwerewolfexpert) and I will Iso all of them after work

Ohhh okay yeah one of the reasons why I am yet to decide whom to vote.
Another thing that suddenly popped on my head from nanook 's post of a possible indie, if that's a jester and mich is the one, that would be bad and good at the same time. So I might take some time and maybe ISO my other scum reads first and compare which one is more suitable m

A vote creates pressure and a reason to react stronger from a townie to defend himself, and for mafia creates a movement itt to most probably save the wagoned wolf.
Not voting until you are sure is antitown to say at least. The vote is town's strongest weapon.
How many times i was explaining you things during a game? I think forgot

Tutuu - i like tutuu![]()
Vulgard is very logic in approach, I found myself liking the post i read, and I didn't have any doubt of not being genuine
Ted looks like he tried to sort my slot, this is a good look for him.
Ash i have no meta, but his play looked like he has an agenda, this is gut level read
TSP i didn't read much fo his posts, he claimed mafia, i would not surprised for this to be true
112 idk, i never read 112 accurate![]()
LC, Arete, Dunya - there is one wolf at least in this trio just by trusting SBPNWWE (sortbypostcountnewwerewolfexpert) and I will Iso all of them after work

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
There's something very hedgy about most of these reads. Even the Hally read has a 10% "she could be mafia I suppose" caveat.
I also don't like the usage of SPBBWE as a baseline, but I suppose that's not strongly AI.

I'm not sure if the reads on Wilgo and TH are forced or villagery clears on LHF.

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
There's also something very strange about Michelle using sort by postcount as a baseline, then townreading both lowest posters to some degree. That's the opposite of how it's supposed to work.

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
they are meta reads so not very trustful. But after MLing 3H few times on MU, I really want to wait for her to play

Re: Escape From Russia [Day 1]
Which makes me think she used sort by postcount to have a justification for her reads, not as something she is actually using to sort people out. But that's my theory. I'm not discouraging you from posting more, Michelle.

Oh really mich, you are not reading me by meta, yet I clearly remember you saying "Poison could be scum cause she is a easy bus" while interacting with Hally about the Dunya-Poiosn thingy before. I am pretty sure that counts as meta? Or do you not want to meta read me for something in particular.Michelle wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 5:33 amDoesn't matter how well I know you, I don't judge you by meta.Poison Chan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 4:58 amI think you know me well enough mich and the fact I don't really vote before EoD1 or at least if I'm not too sure about my read.Spoiler: show

Besides, voting is the strongest weapon of course and never did I miss voting for once, nor do I plan to, it's upto me when I vote for whom. About this being anti town, I'll rule that out cause from my perspective, having a lot of vote changes creates confusion for others who is trying to make a read out of the voter upon flipped or even when not flipped and myself as well.

that sentence is for a case that happened, you should remember when you were day 1 bussed and sacrificed by a mafia team who received huge town cred for that action and idk if this counts as meta like you say

you can indeed vote whenever/whomever you want, but for me is odd to see you have a strong scum read for me and avoid to check it by a vote.

you said you don't read me by meta, i just pointed it out that you read me by meta earlier this game, contradicting your later statement. As simple as that.
