Quin may not have done anything obviously town but he didn't really do anything scummy either. I think more than anything else he was weirded out by the format. Why do you townread quin so strongly?

Because Quin was begging Mac not to shoot FG and the FG shot was pretty bad for town. Mac was choosing between FG and me, and both of us are town. A wolf has no reason to do anything but sit back and eat chips there.

Theoretically, yeah, but in my experience, wolfs will do pretty much anything for shits and giggles even if they have no reason to do anything. o:

Marmot has been too weird to be a wolf. Why did he pull people back into the thread, why wasn't he more open about his ability while he was here? Besides, the LC/Vul interactions look pretty solid both ways. I want explanation from Marmot about why he did the things he chose to do, but if he's a wolf I don't really understand his choices.

it's like similar to the feeling both thunal and I had in grasslands when we realized that spf being wolf made stuff fit together

I think roles are actually completely randomized. It's more how he used it that seems "not wolfy" to me. BUT: consider: if Marmot thought he might be on the chopping block the next day, and he easily could have been, he might lose if his partner is stuck in the other dimension.

Hmm... I'm reading some convo from Turnip and Marmot, and I think I have reason to believe that they aren't scummates.

To go into this in more detail...

No one from our chat is pushing the others to go reread the chat I feel like, but in it, I see Turnip and Marmot talking about who they'd vote for if they could vote D2. Turnip mentioned they'd vote for FG if they could since her handling of Poison felt out of character for FG. Marmot then mentioned struggling to find a reason to vote someone, which Turnip then reacted to by saying, "Yeah it's tough to come up with votes when you're mafia. Sorry bud."

Given how little any of us in the chat were engaged with the game, I don't think scum would feel the need to be performative there. Thus, I don't think this was any kind of distancing act.

As far as Marmot and Quin interactions, I don't remember if I checked for those or not. I don't recall seeing anything meaningful though.

Yeah I thought TL's entrance was towny too. See: me saying so. But I didn't think it was towny for that reason -- Quin picked a fight with everyone, came in openly hostile as I recall. TL entered more smoothly.

why not angle for a roleblock on whoever you suspected the most strongly in punk chat rather than yourself? if your opinion is that the people in the thread are so townie that you'd be scared of roleblocking a townie if you fire into them, why not block someone in the punk chat you suspected?

I'm unsure on TH but what makes me lean town on them is their theory about Alison deepwolfing. I don't think a wolf tries to go for that regardless of Alison's alignment, and I think it's way more likely that TH just believes it (and may be right).

We target me who has no night action outside that vote.
