Re: Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [Day 1]
I simply do not see a reason why Jack would look at posts like these and be astounded how much they don't sound like "town Sloonei." The first is a very standard town Sloonei question to ask. The second is an obvious joke.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 6:17 pmSloonei wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 9:00 pmWhy did you cloak your town reads in anonymity?staypositivefriend wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 8:59 pmthe only way to prove that is to tell me what your concern isSloonei wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 8:57 pmBut I am town, I wouldn't do that.staypositivefriend wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 8:55 pm i want you to tell me first

i would not bank on it with any level of confidenceSloonei wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:04 amI basically have nothing new to add RE: esooa & rej. I was just going to ask for opinions on that big post, because I could go either way on it. How confident would you be with the suggestion that that was esooa shielding a teammate?
the main thing that pushes me to feel that way is the fact that esooa outrighted ignored rej for the entire game ~until~ the pressure against him started to pick up a little bit more momentum - then she suddenly started outing a fairly confident defense of rej while still playing lip service to my suspicions of him. if she didn't out her read on rej ~until~ he was being pressured, then it implies to me that she probably had a specific agenda behind doing it. the agenda could have just been to try to TMI someone as town for towncred, in theory, but the way that she seemed particularly invested in hearing what i thought about her rej read (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2055&p=738501#p738501) made me feel like she was subtly doing it to get me to back off of rej
it aligns fairly well with how i would expect esooa to treat one of her partners under pressure

i think grogu claiming to be green is non-alignment indicative because it would be the easiest thing in the world to make up - it's not like he's claiming a role with specific or unique abilities. it's the equivalent of trying to read into someone that says: "i'm town", imo
but i think his tone is fine so far - even good
spf knows grogu has good tone as scum, he showed that in spider verse mafia
so I don't know why she mentions this
I don't think Sloon and Esooa are in the same team because of this. :vEsooa wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:06 pmmy motivation is the fact I wanna post in thread cause I like talking about mafiaSloonei wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:04 pmI am not criticizing you for engaging in discussion. I'm not so sure about that. Honestly, calling attention to your reads in such a way I almost always dislike; it just feels showy to be
but it's also something that I've seen come from town *at least* as often as scum
you asked for discussion about your read, I disagreed with the read. I gave my reasons as to why

No. Jack has told me in the past that he thinks I can be distracted and unproductive when I'm heavily pressured as town. He's got a point. A few people were tinfoiling me on Day 1 this game, and he came in late and threw fuel on those flames.Poison wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:20 amso jack wanted to get rid off you but since he couldn't he lets it slide = he is a bad guy and you are probably his enemy = you are not a bad guy ?Sloonei wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:16 amThe working theory is that Day 1 Jack was trying to throw me off my game, but Day 2 Jack thinks that will no longer work.Poison wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:13 amso what do you think he is up to ?Sloonei wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:12 amOn Day 1 you suspected me for things that I don't believe you would honestly suspect me for.

We have played together a lot, and in several very memorable games over the years. He says he is not great at reading me, but I think he is usually quite good at not misreading me when I'm town. That he did so so egregiously on Day 1 in this game suggests to me that he was not being honest about it. I suspected him for it initially, but then backed off because I thought maybe he was just trying to provide me cover so I'd make it to Day 2. I no longer believe that's what was happening.

Re: Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [Day 1]
okay, so this post is probably useful cause it's esooa's reaction to vault city and LC - whom she scum read (up to this point at least). LC can be vault city here and their interaction might have been distancing but I am just going to read this over and over again and get paranoid. tbh, I thought LC was town as far as I remember.

Re: Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [Day 2]
even though mac was not the topic of conversation in the game, esooa directly brought him up and called out several people for scumreading him and for not realizing that he was ~obvious town~ doing a sick wifom strategy by staying lowkey. when esooa interacted with mac, she was focused on getting her to townread him and getting in his good gracesSloonei wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:27 amcould you say more about why her treatment of rej is different than her treatment of mac?staypositivefriend wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:24 am i would not bank on it with any level of confidence
the main thing that pushes me to feel that way is the fact that esooa outrighted ignored rej for the entire game ~until~ the pressure against him started to pick up a little bit more momentum - then she suddenly started outing a fairly confident defense of rej while still playing lip service to my suspicions of him. if she didn't out her read on rej ~until~ he was being pressured, then it implies to me that she probably had a specific agenda behind doing it. the agenda could have just been to try to TMI someone as town for towncred, in theory, but the way that she seemed particularly invested in hearing what i thought about her rej read (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2055&p=738501#p738501) made me feel like she was subtly doing it to get me to back off of rej
it aligns fairly well with how i would expect esooa to treat one of her partners under pressure
on the other hand, esooa ignored rej for the entirety of the game, and then suddenly outed a fairly confident townread on him when he became the topic of conversation, while still playing lip service to the idea that he ~could~ be mafia
it feels like the difference between an attempt to pocket a player that she wanted to trick vs defending someone with a specific agenda

might be an annoying question since I didn't read much of the thread, but why did C4 die? BK was the one with 8 votes and c4 with 3 right?

i havent looked at them yet, but the specific point that sloonei brought up about esooa pretending not to know what faction long con was accused of being is 10000000000% something she would do to her partner

I haven’t figured out what I think about it yet, but it was Interesting and I think people should look at it.staypositivefriend wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:54 ami havent looked at them yet, but the specific point that sloonei brought up about esooa pretending not to know what faction long con was accused of being is 10000000000% something she would do to her partner

Little things that felt wrong or felt dishonest.Sloonei wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:41 amWhy did you think I was Not Town yesterday?Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 1:38 amThis post is frustrating in a way that I don’t think I can adequately express.
And that’s even the key but, here. Little things. I never voted you yesterday. Intentionally didn’t push you much because I know that does tend to derail you, which yeah, is a problem for your town game but it also makes it harder for me to read you. But you’re accusing me of pushing you hard to derail you as a wolf strategy. That’s stupid. Town you shouldn’t believe that. Townies believe a lot of stupid things, tho.
You asked me for my read on you today and I said something like “gth? Wolf.” The implication there being that I need a gth because I’m not sure.
Then you started digging into Esooa and lol multiball but I didn’t see anything agenday so I say something like “that makes me feel a little better” and you’re like indignant that I’d swap my hard scum read on you for a hard townread and I’m like “Is Sloonei tunneling me or is he just full of shit?”
And because I’m a mafia genius, I figure I’ll just poke you with a stick and see if you do something interesting and now you’re like “I don’t even think you’re trying to read me, Jack.” Which is frustrating because your response to me trying to read you is what I was trying to get you to do while also being unhelpful while also saying I’m not doing the thing I’m doing.
