Re: Buckets: War of the GOATs
u seemed almost like u were dreading the fact that u popped up and had a lot of content to read. normally when im town and im in a lobby that i feel is pretty strong id be pretty happy if i came back to a lot of content since i enjoy going through it as town, as opposed to coming back to like half a page. whereas when im wolf i dread coming back to a lot of content because it just means theres a shit tonne of pages i have to now pretend to fake analyse.
given that you tend to put a lot of focus into analysing posts, eg. i always see you going through past games of people, i took it that you would have a more positive reaction to coming back to the thread.

Re: Buckets: War of the GOATs
His catchup felt like he was holding back and a little nervous, which I'd expect him to be if he rolled wolf in this playerlist. He also shrank away from taking firm stances; I think the strongest read he had was that Transcend seemed excited to play and that was townie. Which is a pretty meh read.

Not really. I mean I wasn't expecting to come back to see people making 180 posts while I swept in what I assumed was going to be a light game (that was super dead while I was awake) but I don't *really* care it was just funny to be snarky.ilario wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:54 amu seemed almost like u were dreading the fact that u popped up and had a lot of content to read. normally when im town and im in a lobby that i feel is pretty strong id be pretty happy if i came back to a lot of content since i enjoy going through it as town, as opposed to coming back to like half a page. whereas when im wolf i dread coming back to a lot of content because it just means theres a shit tonne of pages i have to now pretend to fake analyse.

Fwiw I've had a string of wolf games ruined by inactivity recently (town being so inactive that they became incredibly easy to sweep lol) so I feel the opposite way to you about activity here tbh.

Re: Buckets: War of the GOATs
This is false. I've read up to page 3 of the thread and I've externalised exactly two reads: Transcend being town from his entrance (one reason for that is what I mentioned to illario because it was relevant to the conversion from his entrance) and alexa being town as well. Those are literally the only stances I've made so saying I've shrank away from making firms ones is incredibly disingenuous.Alison wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 4:53 amHis catchup felt like he was holding back and a little nervous, which I'd expect him to be if he rolled wolf in this playerlist. Saying I'm nervous is also just blatantly untrue and I'm interested in hearing how you could get that impression from my posts?

this just feels like you're looking at it from a wolf pov
"so I feel" rather than I would feel
"string of wolf games ruined by inactivity" but not necessarily town games so.. Why would you want there to be activity using this unless wolfing again
etc

Re: Buckets: War of the GOATs
You're doing a lot of commenting on things without giving opinions on them and that concerns me. My read that you're nervous extends from that: it's like you're afraid to put yourself out there. Like, using the post I'm responding to as an example, you're using a lot of language that seems to point towards me being scum: "this is false", "incredibly disingenuous", "blatantly untrue". But you're not actually voting me or pushing on me. There's a hesitation there.Wiml wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 5:28 amThis is false. Are you serious? Obviously I'm referring in present tense because yes my stance is "when I'm a wolf I prefer high activity" is my actual philosophy and it's even more apparent because we've literally had this conversation out of game and that's why I had no idea where you thought I'd scumslipped lol.Esooa wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 5:40 am "Fwiw I've had a string of wolf games ruined by inactivity recently (town being so inactive that they became incredibly easy to sweep lol) so I feel the opposite way to you about activity here tbh."

not super serious
again just pointing out the wording of "I feel the opposite here" comes directly from a scum pov as opposed to a philosophy which would go "I would feel the opposite" etc
I don't put much weight into slips though but it caught my eye so I mentioned it

His quote about him playing like a nutcase so he doesn’t get n1d. That in itself isn’t a thought that’s hard to fake but then he carries on that thought by mentioning something about u and esooa dieing n1/n2 which made me feel like it was a real thought that came about and not just something as simple as “hurrr watch me get nightkilled lols”
It’s a progression I’m pretty sure I’ve said a bunch as town but never once thought to fake as scum, since most people find that kinda stuff NAI anyways so I wouldn’t ever bother faking that.

As for why I'm not pushing you, it's because I was waiting for your response, mostly because I wanted to see if you anchored your read or not after I aggressively shot it down. I'll probably continue this train of thought now once I'm actually caught up bec

Re: Buckets: War of the GOATs
I'm not going to call it a godread because it's slightly less confident than that but I he's generally a really easy player to find as town from meta. The only player in this game probably better at reading him than me is alexa.
But one thing in particular that I can actually explain here is illario's approach to scumreads, specifically his mild scumread on me. I'll explain in more detail later if necessary but he has this thing as town where he doesn't like outing scumreads unless he's pushing them really hard because he's paranoid about how people will react to them (which is why I had to respond to him earlier to tell him to out his read on me) which I don't think he is self aware enough of / capable / willing to replicate as a wolf.
Also weak reason but he probably just doesn't lightly scumread me at all if he's actually a wolf. He knows he has to kill me lol.
