I say nay!
I voted for MP7 for one post in particular -- would be curios to see if you see what I see.
But let's say I did vote for MP7 to ease myself into the game, what does that make me?

I'm looking at all of his four posts pretty intently, but I'm not seeing anything at all. The very most I can come up with is his 'I'll post more strategies later' thing and I'm pretty sure that's a political joke.

I'm looking largely at his OP. (But when you string his four posts together it's effectively the same read.)
It's a classic in-and-out post in which he enters the thread by posting but exits in the same post, made in jest or otherwise it's something wolves do more often than not.
There's more to it even then that but if you want a read off of one post, I've met me d0 quota.

Who are the best wolves in this lineup? Who are the best villagers?
Is there anyone who cannot play one alignment well?

When a townie places a random vote, it is typically meant to incite a reaction (either from the recipient of the vote or whoever else might comment), which can serve as a springboard for those sikk readz.
When a mafioso places a "random" vote, it is typically meant to
give the appearance of inciting a reaction. The visible difference is often negligible, but I do propose that scum random votes more often come in the form of
just a name, whereas town random votes are more often accompanied by an
accusation -- even if a silly early Day 1 caliber accusation.
Your "vote" was thrown into the thread in a vacuum without context, and it was presented with a light-hearted personality, which I think can be indicative of the latter example. The vote exists for appearance rather than for a pro-town strategic purpose (if my assertion is accurate).
In MP's posts I can see perhaps one moment that might inspire a quick vote. I'm not telling you what it is though until you tell me first. Your the one who has placed the vote, sir. The onus is on you to provide the inspiration if you're to assert than an inspiration exists. I will not hand it to you.

This depends upon what specific skill you're looking for. I would suggest though that the most dangerous possible scum would be Epignosis, MovingPictures, Sloonei, and Golden. That's no slight on the rest though, everyone is capable of putting together a strong game. It's a solid lineup. The "best" villagers are whichever ones make bloody posts. All of you can fight over that title by making bloody posts.

I don't think this question can be answered without slighting someone, so I'd prefer to leave it alone. I know that's not your intention, so no worries.

Most people call me JJJ, though 3J has seen a recent surge. My actual name is Jay. Pick among those I suppose.
If you call me Jagged that would be weird. I would feel awkward.
The MP moment I referenced was indeed in his OP, so I suppose I can also vibe. Quin referenced the moment precisely. I'm not sure what "strategies" there are to discuss, particularly that need to be mentioned in the present as a projection of a later discussion. I'll reserve further judgment on that until MP has expanded on whatever he meant by that.

You are a marvel and a king. Beck is willing to ask his questions to the thread (as opposed to looking for bts help). MP is a gut feeling.
Epignosis made his first post with a

smiley. Last game I saw him as mafia, he roleplayed as his zodiac sign, and used that smiley in every post.

I think you're town. Emoticon casing is town. You get a town read.
I think Beck seems fine. I am pleased with his level of engagement and I don't get the impression to this point that it's fake. In many ways he initiated the Actual Mafia PostsĀ® in this game and has helped us to get away from Day 0 goofing off. That's neato. I have no beefs with Ricochet. The content he has provided might be thinner than usual in terms of game relevance, but I do get the impression he is trying to incorporate some real discussion into his roleplay. He's having fun. I have no reason to this point to provide Epignosis with a town read.

On the surface it may sound like a silly accusation -- that someone's smiley usage is indicative of their alignment. Perhaps it even is silly. That's less important to me, however, than whether it's a genuine product of your sleuthing mindset. I think townies notice smileys and other minor nuances like that; Strawhenge on RYM was one who would talk about smiley trends. Scum players are likely to be less inclined to make this accusation, particularly at a hornet's nest like Epignosis, because it just begs for someone to retort: "Uh, that's ridiculous. You're smearing me with this ridiculous thing you've said."
Perhaps Certified WIFOM Bucket Metalmarsh might be one to deviate from that trend, but I don't get that vibe here.

It's too early for me to have a terribly developed perspective of your methods, but I think you're off to a good start. It's visible that you come from a culture which is unlike this one, and I think you have a unique advantage -- you're not subject to preconceptions about any of us. You can make reads purely at face value. Everyone else here, by virtue of our time playing together, is going to be dealing with biases on reads that you'll be immune to. I'd encourage you to embrace that in this game.
Perhaps when the game is over we can provide each other more substantive feedback.

In recent memory I have made an effort to keep the game thread at a reasonable (slower) pace during Day 0, just because some people can feel overwhelmed when it blows up too fast before they've even started. In that regard this might be different for you, especially from what it seen on Mafia Universe where every game moves at the speed of light. Once Day 1 begins and there are votes available I'll be ready to go full throttle, but until then I'll keep it cool. I want everyone to be fully caught up when the fun really starts.
I say all this to imply that there's no rush
