Re: ROUND ELEVEN ↕ ELEVATOR GAME
And Wednesday is the one day I definitely can't do 4PM. For context, 4PM is 9AM for me, which is when I start work. I try to avoid meetings too early, but I have one that day. 3PM makes things a bit easier... if I just get ready for work earlier, I can participate on my phone on the way to work, could probably do a good 1.5 hour block on most days.
Friday night for you guys would mean Saturday for me, which is quite doable at nearly any time provided you recognise that I will have child care duties and so am prone to sudden vanishing for brief periods, but sounds like it's not for inh.
It may be that this game requires multiple sessions too, there's a chance.

What about Wednesday evening, say, 7, 8, or 9 PM CST? That seems more manageable for Golden.

But on Wednesday I won't be able to participate at any time.

Alrighty. I might be able to make 7 PM CST on Thursday work. How's that sound to everyone?

Yeah, sorry. I'm on call for a day long complaint hearing. I will have time but I just couldn't commit to a specific time which is of no use to anyone.

Re: ROUND ELEVEN ↕ ELEVATOR GAME
The die has been cast. The live portion of the Elevator Game will take place on Thursday, July 19th, at 7 PM CST. Be there or be square.
To quickly explain how this will all be run:
I will create a grand total of 9 Chatzy rooms. One for each player, one for each team, and one for the entire group (a "groupchat" if you will). Players are also allowed to create their own BTSC chatrooms with anyone they so desire. BTSC is completely open for this Match.
Firstly, I will post a link to the spreadsheet in the groupchat. The spreadsheet will show the board, both teams' pieces, and the three finalists' points. It'll hopefully be up-to-date for the entire shindig. The Finalists' piece will be the first to move. All six players will use their individual chatrooms to send me either a 1 or a 0. The piece will move the same amount of places as the number of "1's" I receive. Then, the same process occurs with the Vanquished's piece.
"Marked" spaces are shown by a small black triangle in the top right corner. Hover over them, and they'll say who marked the space for x number of points. If a piece lands on a marked space, the finalist who marked it will gain however many points they marked it for.
If the Finalists reach the "100" space first, the player with the most points wins, sending the other two to the Death Match.
If the Vanquished reach the "100" space first, they will choose the winner out of the top two point-getters. Deals, scheming, and alliances are all highly encouraged.

Re: ROUND ELEVEN ↕ ELEVATOR GAME
The first live session was a roaring success! It ended with The Finalists on the 36th space, and the Vanquished one space behind them. Scotty has an early lead of 4 points, while Daisy has 2, and Golden has 0.
This is still anyone's game. Remember, if the Finalist team wins, the player with the most points wins the Match, while if the Vanquished win, they get to decide who wins from the two finalists with the most points. In either scenario, the player with the least points goes to the Death Match.
The next session will be on Saturday at 7 PM CST. Check the following website if you are unsure when that'd be in your time zone: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter

Re: ROUND ELEVEN ↕ ELEVATOR GAME
FORMAT CHANGE
Due to the problems with scheduling live events, I'm shifting the format of this match to non-live. Right now, it's the Finalists turn. If all 6 players could please message me in the chatzy with their number. I'd ask everyone to put a V or an F in front of the number depending on which team you're submitting for, as this will help me sort through numbers. Once you message me via Chatzy, please post in this thread indicating that you've sent in a number. I'll attempt to update the spreadsheet as quickly as possible so that this can go as quickly as possible. Even still, this whole thing might take a while. For the maybe third or fourth time, due to matters beyond my control, this match is going to take longer to finish than it should.

Re: ROUND ELEVEN ↕ ELEVATOR GAME
Yeah, shit, this isn't gonna flippin' work.
This is a great example of a game that works quite well when you have 6 people physically in a room with each other for a couple hours, and is damn hard to make happen online.
Like the little girl in that one taco shell commercial, my proposed solution to the live event vs. forum-based debate is "why not both?". I'll continue trying to schedule live sessions where all seven of us can make it, (possibly utilizing surrogates, and/or having a back-up player if someone's AWOL) and while we wait for that perfect window of time, players can all sloooowly send in digits as well. That way, hopefully, this Match can be done by the end of the month.
Unless MP and Daisy have to move before then.
Or Scotty goes offline for an indefinite amount of time.
So, here we are again, seven unique, special individuals facing a quandary that has stymied generations of people: "when is a time that we'll all be able to be online for about 2 hours?"
My schedule is fairly open, especially in the evening, but of course, I understand that some of y'all are in wacky time zones, and have lives or tabletop gaming sessions that occupy your time.
I guess I'll start the bidding at Tuesday, 7PM. Any objections to Tuesday at 7PM CST?

Re: ROUND ELEVEN ↕ ELEVATOR GAME
The first non-live round of this has concluded.
The Finalist team moves 2 spaces, from 36 to 38. That space houses an up elevator, which moves the Finalists up to 58. This space is marked by Daisy, and she gains a point.
You may all begin sending in points for the Vanquished.
