What's this PA you are always talking about?

Mr Shreddy is the one I really miss from PA.

I have come to like many of the ones from PA. I've also come to realize many sites have really bad smileys. FB has some good ones. I miss my custom smileys on MSN. :'(

I miss the Piano ones -- and Dan just posted that he's letting the domain expire. RIP(IYWG) Piano

When and where did he post this? And how long until the domain expires?

Yes, I also agree. I consistently spend way too many minutes looking through the smileys for PA ones, only to remember that they are not here.

I'm slightly afraid of making rule-related errors, since my group of friends always had a really weird set of house rules that changed on a constant basis.

I'm very well, thank you. If you have any rule questions, feel free to ask. Most hosts post house rules at the start of the game, and the general rules can be found here. We're always happy to answer question though.

Hi Wrath! I'm always nervous about rule violations too, so I just besiege the host with questions to clarify. They've never minded! Also, the mods here, without exception, are really good about answering questions too. When I was new, I would PM them in Qs I had too that I was too shy to ask in a more public thread.

Welcome, wrathofgod! Really hope you enjoy it here. Like everyone else said, none of us bite, so any questions you have, feel free to ask the host of a game you're playing or just any of us if you're not in a game!

Reading the general rules, I see some significant differences from the way I used to play, but nothing that can't be easily worked around. Guess I'll have to learn some new strategy to cope :P

Real life mafia can be very significantly different from the online adaptation, but knowing how mafia works in a party setting is a good first step of knowledge, for sure. The best way to learn is definitely by just getting in and playing, but having the knowledge of how things work previous can certainly help.

Of course, the internet adaptation also allows for much more customization, and we do like our fair share of unconventional games around here. Keeps things interesting, I say!

I sent you a link to the speed game that's currently in sign ups. It's going to have a great player list, so that would be a great entree into Syndicate mafia, especially for a) a vet and b) because it's a speed game.

I figured I should say Hi here since there are people I don't know. My name is Mandi. I am originally from Rochester, NY but I live in London England. I've been playing mafia for 5 or so years. Honestly I don't know how long or how many games anymore. I used to play way too much, but now I don't play at all. I've played IRL once. I've hosted I think a dozen games... 5 ( ? maybe ) with Rox which is how I ended up here! First, to lurk around the Rolling Stones thread as Mr D and now she has convinced me to step up to the role of cohost once again.
I read... a lot. That's how i spend any of my free time pretty much. I try to watch some TV but I fail miserably at keeping up on them so I generally try to keep it to one or two at a time. (Even that proves difficult for me sometimes! haha)
I am in NY visiting for another month, so I've been back to working at the precision optics company I worked at for the 6 1/2 years prior to the move to London. Coolest thing I worked on was probably lenses for the cameras on the Mars Rovers, but most of the time I work on boring stuff. Eventually I will go back to school, and work on my nursing degree, but for now i think I am just going to enjoy the country some and hopefully travel to the rest of Europe. Those who know me know how important it is for me and the boyfriend to see the world while we are still able School can wait for now
