So I realize now that there will be at least some semblance of evidence, even on D1. Because there is so much BTSC, obviously players will be hesitant to lynch anyone else in their own BTSC group. Typically, civilians would be hesitant to defend teammates, but in a game such as this where roles and alignments could switch, there is less incentive to worry about being NKed as a result of defending a civilian teammate. Of course, baddies will be doing this as well, but even if roles are switching, we should still be able to compile information at snapshots, rather than over time.

Nonetheless, I'm not advocating any outing or hinting (god knows we've had enough of that recently), but there MUST be a way to avoid random, meaningless lynches, and I think we can piece together events and evidence as they happen -- it will just be difficult at first, and will require some out of the box thinking.

I also implore all of the civilian BTSC groups to come up with a mechanism, if possible, to discern whether one of your current BTSCmates flips baddie later, by catching them in a lie. I am in the process of developing such a mechanism myself, and I think I finally have something. If different BTSC groups can come up with different mechanisms, perhaps it will be possible to tell whether a civilian flips baddie using more than snapshot lynch evidence.

In addition, I think I've uncovered the reason why roles and alignments are subject to switching; it's because of Wasatch Mountains. Obviously, if someone were to get lynched in someone else's place, not only would we lose a baddie, but we would know who the Mountains are. So perhaps the switching is mostly a mechanism by which to not unfairly punish that baddie team. I suppose we will find out how often and how much switching occurs once it happens though, but I suspect that maybe it won't be as much as I was thinking before (not sure if anyone else was thinking this, but I figured everyone would switch every cycle).

According to the poll, this is the only poll that means nothing, which means that every other poll in this game will mean something. But we've run into a problem. That means this poll means something, because it carries a message on the rest of the game. So we must assume that this poll is a lie, and that we know nothing about what will happen the rest of the game. We must also be careful and carefully consider how many spreadsheets Roxy uses for games, as it may have implications on future occurrences.

Addendum: I'm self-voting.

I will vote for you, MM, if you self vote. I think that sets a ridiculous precedent and no civilian should EVER self vote when he or she could at least vote for someone else, who isn't in their BTSC group, at random -- and have a chance at catching someone bad.

Self voters beware. I will vote for you on D1.

The civilian self-voting needs to stop.

At least randomize your vote, for goodness sake. Who would have ever thought I'd be saying THAT?

Then I will vote the first person who does it because I think it's ridiculously stupid.

As to the first part of this post, MP, why not? If were all switching anyway, I can't see any reason at all not to push for the lynch of my current teammates. :feb:

Unless of course they would all turn and vote for me for voting one of them, but that assumes they ascribe to an unwritten code of not lynching BTSC mates that really holds no value for them, and that they have arbitrary but strong and misplaced senses of justice.

But I wouldn't say this is atypical of Epi; he and Llama are perhaps the most notorious for stirring up the pot early on in games, regardless of alignment.

What? That doesn't make sense, for two reasons:
1) If you KNOW your civilian teammates are civilian right now, why would you lead their lynch right now? Just because they might not be aligned with you later does not change the fact that they are civilian right now.
2) We don't know how the switch mechanism is going to work just yet, so it could very well be possible that not all of us switch every cycle.
