Night 3: Webstor

The fighting turned the sweet smell of honey into a stench of death.

AllAlongtheBoardwalk and thellama73, declared the king’s champions right there, chose their arms and moved into the dark corridor the king had indicated.

It reeked of decay, and what used to be honey seeped into their shoes. Webstor had been with the Andreenids a long time. As the passage grew darker, the stench only increased. But it wasn’t far into the darkness that AllAlongtheBoardwalk bumped into something fuzzy.

Red, reflective ovals flicked open, and a hideous cry shook the honeycomb.

AllAlongtheBoardwalk cried out and shoved his weapon into one of Webstor’s eight legs. He could see a hind one had been trapped.

But Webstor’s sudden pain was the impetus for the thing to free himself, and he soon began crawling, spiraling around the semicircular corridor.

With precision, thellama73 fired an arrow into the beast’s midsection. It shrieked, and as though in return, something sticky overtook thellama73. It rolled around him, spun him, and stifled him.

AllAlongtheBoardwalk realized his opportunity. As the creature called Webstor worked its way around its newfound prey, he held up his pole arm through the web, and as a rapid and hungry spider-creature ran down to cover his prey for the tenth or eleventh time, it slit its own body open underneath. That gave AllAlongtheBoardwalk ample opportunity to shove his lengthy blade many times into Webstor’s sickening figure. Inhuman fluids drenched the attacker as the defenseless thing squirmed about his web, which became his own grave wrappings.

In time, AllAlongtheBoardwalk return to the main hall.

“Well done,” the king cried. “You’ve brought back the head of the arachnid demon.” The king would have wept had his biological functions allowed it. “You must accept this as a reward for all you have done. We are nervous to give our Ambrosia to anyone, but you have shown yourself to be a true friend of Andreenos!”

The hall cheered in agreement.

Then did the servants of Andreenos fly, carrying a body wrapped in a thick web.

“Whom was the other you sent?”

“thellama73,” someone replied, sadly.

“He has died for our sake. Such bravery!”

Someone leapt forward with a dagger. “We must shed the web! If he is dead, we must see who he really is!”

But the guards checked the objector. The king said, “No. That would be dishonorable. To be buried in these robes would be an honor any Andreenid- or defender of Andreenos- would welcome.”

thellama73 has been killed by Webstor.

Night 3: Friendly Fire?

During the battle against Webstor’s arachnid creatures, Vompatti sunk near one of the tunnels of the Andreenid honeycombs to take shelter. It was there that his arm was taken, and only a fading scream remained in his place.

And spacedaisy, pleased with her work in aiding the Andreenos and motivating cowards, turned back toward the Andreenid lines, happy to be of service, when she heard a mutter behind her. It was a monstrous, green beast. It tore her limb from limb before anyone noticed.

Vompatti has been killed by Snake Mountain.

spacedaisy has been killed by Man-E-Faces.

There were three missing PMs.

It is now Day 4. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.

Two people that have surprised me so far have been boomslang and LT. I know both can sometimes come off as overly defensive, but it really seems to stick out in spades here. If I had to vote now I would lean for one of those two, but more likely Boomslang.
BWT - I would like you to explain why you thought my post addressing MP and outlining why I felt a bit pinged BY HIM, was me being defensive. I had wanted to bring this up during the last day period, but obviously, was unable to do so due to some nasty spider consumption.

Why were you reading llama as good and Daisy as bad, out of curiosity? I am tempted to agree with both based on my gut reactions to their posts throughout the game, but I haven't much more than that, and I wouldn't say I'm close to confident on my gut reads for both. I was beginning to wonder if llama might be Horde if he was teamed with timmer, but I do still think timmer fitting Zodac would make sense, so if you can provide credence supporting that, that would be helpful.

My main suspicion of Daisy stemmed from her day 1 vote - ignored all the suspicion in the thread and voted for someone who had not even been brought up. Tried to throw a No U at you.... just general baddie vibe from her direction. It would seem that another civvie also picked up on that suspicion, since she was killed by a civvie.

I think llama was being helpful, thoughtful and being a high poster, he was for sure civvie. I agreed with a lot of what he had to say, tbh. As for Timmer, I really cannot understand why anyone would think he was on either baddie team, as I have already mentioned. The vote against him was practically unanimous, and the wording of the host post.... I'd say it is a safe bet that he is Zodac.

I have already said why I think Timmer is Zodac - twice now. :)

Both baddie teams clearly voted to lynch him.

As for your thought that it is Horde pushing him as being a Horde - entirely possible.

In fact, I would be very interested to hear what BWT thinks about that possibility.

RIPIYWG llama, Vomp, daisy. Like LT, i was leaning civ on llama and suspicious of daisy.

Plus, the fact that Man-E-Faces has the ability to role-check players makes me think that daisy probably was bad. Otherwise, I imagine he would not have NKed her, because it is very dangerous for him (votes on him quadruple), and instead continued to role-check players.

Vomp was def in a grey area for me, I think he's very difficult to read- but if I had to guess, I think he was good. His behavior seemed pretty consistent w/ the recent Sgt. Pepper game we finished not too long ago on this website.

The problem is, Timmer didn't just survive the lynch - someone else got lynched instead of him. Who knows, maybe Timmer didn't switch it himself and somebody else did. But assuming Timmer did it, he couldn't be Teela or He-Man or She-Ra or Moss Man - because they can't make someone else die in their place. At least, that's what I gather. The consensus seems to be he is likely one of the roles with secrets, question is, which one.

MP, why do you trust me? :ponder:

For the first part, I'm a bit confused. What part of that quote you pulled pinged you?

As for the second part, I said I did NOT want to waste another lynch on Timmer. Go back and re-read my response to llama on that one. My reasoning was that I don't want to keep trying to lynch Timmer day after day because the baddies can use it as an excuse to keep casting votes in that direction. Not to mention it helps to squash discussion of other people.

As for the quote about you from MP, I will find it and pull it up tomorrow to explain my logic behind it. The rest of tonight is being dedicated to my girlfriend.

I left this up for awhile without posting, so I have linki.

Linki: I totally agree that both baddie teams voted to lynch him. His actions looked "baddie" enough that they could gain civvie cred by voting for an easy target. I also do not think he is a Horde member. But as I said before, I think he is most likely an indy.

Just to expand on FH's theory about the food: seems to me like a lot of baddies, if they knew what the foods would do, would choose both spider and panther. Immunity and being able to be silent for a day without raising suspicion sounds like a baddie's dream to me. However, that would be assuming they knew what would happen with the foods instead of just a vague tip.

"Killed by Snake Mountain" likely refers to Snake Mountain's NK (night kill) capacity. All players who are lynched generally have their roles revealed. All players who get NKed (night killed) generally do NOT have their roles revealed.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, that was the first Snake Mountain NK all game. So I'm not sure exactly what that means, other than good tidings of no other Snake Mountain NKs.

Oh FWIW I watched some more heman last night and finally got to an episode with zodak in it. The show said his ability involved being able to see people's weaknesses, I'm not sure how that would translate to a mafia game. Anyway, there was a baddie that escaped the prison named cobra Kahn and he went to snake mountain, pretended he wanted to join skeletors army so he could go deep into snake mountain and let his snake people free. Zodak was the intervening party, I think he was the person who originally trapped them in this pit, they called it the void. Anyway, The masters of the universe helped him. He actually kind of underestimated their strength, I wouldn't call him a deity by any stretch TBH. But there was never any ill will towards the eternians so idk.

So, you cannot remember that you found my posts to MP "defensive"?

Lets review, shall we? Sorry you were not able to find your own posts....and thus mine that you claimed were me being "over defensive":

Here is my first post mentioning my ping regarding MP.

Here is MP's response to my post accepting his explanation for his thoughts, and then also is my response to his continuing to defend even though I had accepted his explanation.

Here is where MP accused ME of being in defensive mode, which really had me scratching my head since I was not "defending" anything, I was accusing.

Here is my calm response to that.

Here is you calling me "overly-defensive".

here, you will find quoted posts where first you state that you had been leaning towards boomslang and LT, but vote BF then when Mp says he found that "pingy" and if you brought LT up, why not he-man... you flip flop and say that you didn't think I was bad. Yet you clearly said you had been leaning towards a vote for me.

here I ask again what it was that was "defensive" about me addressing something I found pingy about MP.

I am still awaiting a response from you on that.

Here is what I think - I think you were a baddie looking for somewhere to stick a vote, specifically, a bandwagon where you could hide your baddie self. You saw an opportunity when MP and I started our little chat - aha! LT is usually a good place to start and MP is calling her "defensive", hops on. Unfortunately, you quickly realized that train wasn't leaving the station so you hopped another one. MP also caught that and when he asked you, you claimed you were not saying I was bad... yet you had already said that you were leaning towards a vote for me.

So, once again, why did you characterize my posts addressed to MP as "over defensive"?

Here is my first post mentioning my ping regarding MP.

I can understand not wanting the non-voters looked at on Day 1. I think most of the non-voters that early are civvies. If they were baddies, they would be getting more pressure from their teammates to start participating. In fact, you say right there that after his explanation of it, you agree with him.

Here is MP's response to my post accepting his explanation for his thoughts, and then also is my response to his continuing to defend even though I had accepted his explanation.

Nothing I don't disagree with you there. I do think MP can get a bit overly-aggressive at times, but I think that's just his playing style.

Here is where MP accused ME of being in defensive mode, which really had me scratching my head since I was not "defending" anything, I was accusing.

Yes, you were accusing him there of trying to take focus off the non-voters. He gave his reasons for wanting to stick away from that, and you said you accepted his explanation. Then you come back later and say you are suspicious of him because he keeps "hammering this thing home" all because you keep asking him about it? I don't get it. To me, it really sounds like you are twisting his words.

Here is my calm response to that.

In retrospect, some of this might appear really obvious on MP's part, since boomslang has since come back baddie. Maybe "overly-defensive" isn't the right choice of words, since I feel your version of "overly-defensive" tends to be emotionally-charged and a lot more negative/virulent. But to me, it still reads as you being defensive.

Here is you calling me "overly-defensive".

See previous response. Again, you don't seem to be getting really emotional or angry yet, but it is still defensive to me.

here, you will find quoted posts where first you state that you had been leaning towards boomslang and LT, but vote BF then when Mp says he found that "pingy" and if you brought LT up, why not he-man... you flip flop and say that you didn't think I was bad. Yet you clearly said you had been leaning towards a vote for me.

I never said I found you bad. I even clarified later on that I never said I found you bad (in one of the posts you quoted from me even, idk how you missed that one  ). I said I had found you to be ping-worthy. And honestly, most of my Day 1 votes tend to fall on who I feel is the most ping-worthy. I felt BF's reaction was more over-the-top than yours, which is why I ended up voting for him over you. I wouldn't necessarily call that flip-flopping.

here I ask again what it was that was "defensive" about me addressing something I found pingy about MP.

Not really. Did you bother re-reading any of the conversation between BF and myself? I thought I clarified why I ended up voting for him over you, but apparently not. Might want to pay a bit more attention next time LT. ;)

So, once again, why did you characterize my posts addressed to MP as "over defensive"?
As I said, I definitely found you being "defensive", but perhaps "over-defensive" was a big strong in terms of word choice, so I apologize for that. I am curious though as to why you didn't bother to bring this up any during Day 2. Is there a reason why?

In conclusion, I think this means there are 1 of 2 possibilities with you right now:

1) You are bad, and you are trying to frame me as bad because of my choice of words, and twisting my words against me while ignoring other important things I have said.
2) You are being forced by Skeletor to vote for me. So you went and started trying to build a case against me.

If you have any other quotes or aspects of the game you would like me to address, feel free to do so and I will get to them at some point. But this post reeks much more of your overly-emotional and more frustrated side, which traditionally has read as your baddie game to me.

Again, what about my posts accusing MP were "defensive"? I was the aggressor, not the defendee. So, how could I possibly be in "defensive" mode? It seemed odd to me then and still does. I do believe that I am correct in that you were looking for a place to hide your baddie vote.

I think that you missed a possibility ;) Neither of those you posit are correct.

And here you go again. What EXACTLY about my current accusation of YOU is "overly-emotional" and "frustrated"? I think I am being quite cool, calm and collected. You, on the other hand, are sounding like a baddie trying to turn the tables.

Fun and t's or cut off. If most of them because the situation does not refer to the war games.

BWT also might've said something about LT being overly defensive because that's just the reason that she was suspected in Avant Garde 2.... and she was bad. So maybe he was just jumping on something hoping it'd stick?

Why boardwalk but not thellama?
Because I had the feeling that Llama was bad. Both AATBW and Indiglo, I have no read on whatsoever. I didn't know who to pick since it was not clear if it was a good thing or a bad thing, so I went with 2 who seemed to want it and I had no strong feelings about.

Sorry I didnt explain this in my vote post, btw, I was on my ipad and its excruciating to type on that.
