Hmmmm... you have a point. But on the other hand we can win it tonight as well, and are you sure no-one will die if it's a tie?

Well, do what you have to do, but I somehow feel like we've got him this time.

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Day 9]
Night 9

Flora is a steam tram on the Island of Sodor, and her tram car is her pride and joy. She’s very happy to be one of the Sodor engines and she’s proud to be able to travel on roads or tracks.
One winter day, Flora is chugging along the tracks with her car full of passengers. She is taking them to a mountain on the Island of Sodor, called The Black Rock, for a day of winter fun and hot chocolate. Unfortunately, she comes across a snowdrift and crashes right into it, ending up trapped in the snow.
“Cinders and ashes,” cries Flora.
Bertie, a friendly bus who is always ready to help any engine, comes to the passengers’ rescue.
What winter activity should the passengers take part in?

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
Endgame:

‘Arry managed to get to the yard where Diesel 10, Bert, and Mavis were being stored. Luckily for him, they had not been used for spare parts.
“Wake up!” ‘Arry said. “The Minister of Transport is here to sack Sir Topham Hatt!”
And indeed he was. “Sir Topham Hatt!” the minister exclaimed. “You have allowed confusion and delay! You are hereby relieved of your position. You shall be henceforth transferred to the United States of America, where you shall wash the windows and scrub the loos for a fine dining establishment known as The Waffle House. Pack your belongings!”
“Heh heh heh” said ‘Arry, who had for some time now been going under the name “Lizzy.”
The Island of Sodor was a wreck. Nothing was delivered on time, and commerce failed. People wanted to leave. But ‘Arry had other plans. Out of his exhaust pipe came a thick black smoke that seemed to have a life of its own!
And it devoured every single inhabitant on the Island of Sodor.
Except John Locke, who became the Bald Controller.

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
McViper was the last of the steam engines, and the diesels scrapped him. That put Snow Dog (Sir Topham Hatt) out of a job, leaving us with Lizzy and reywaS. This would result in a tie (even if reywaS came in to vote), in which no one would be decommissioned. And the diesels would scrap reywaS on Night 10.
By scrapping Mcviper, Lizzy just sealed a victory for the Dirty Diesels.

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
The Diesels knew your role from almost the beginning. They used Mavis to switch the decommission vote to you, which is why no one got lynched Day 3. So they figured you out and knew not to waste a scrap on you.Snow Dog wrote:Oh. I was hoping she would go for me.Epignosis wrote:Lizzy sent in the PM for McViper to be scrapped on Night 9. The biggest thing I feel bad about is you leading the charge against A Person. On Night 7, you redirected A Person's action to Lizzy. Lizzy chose to forgo any biffing and instead pretended to be insanified on Day 8. That of course framed A Person. I could not believe how well that ruse worked out for her.

Here is Emily's secret (which Hedgeowl only got to use one time):
Emily – The newest member of the Sodor Steamworks just wants to be included!
*Secret* Emily wants to help and share and learn more about the other engines on Sodor. If she receives any votes during the Day but survives, she may “ask” each person who voted for her one of the following questions:
- Do you have any close friends to talk to? (Emily learns if the player has BTSC)
- What kind of work did you do last night? (Emily learns who the player targeted on the previous Night)
- Are you a really useful engine? (Emily learns how many Really Useful Engine badges the player has won)
- Can I help you with that? (Emily will give the player twice their ability the next Night)
- I really don’t think you should be doing that, do you? (Emily blocks the player)

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
Also Snow Dog, there's something about your role that you didn't know.
The Night polls determined who would receive a Really Useful Engine Badge. If you got three of them, you could choose to be protected the next Night or have your name off the poll the Day following the next Night.
The "correct" choice in each Night poll was whichever one Sir Topham Hatt chose.

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
Thank goodness you ended it now Epi! I was having a hard time waiting that long to find out. Well it's official, I have no intuition whatsoever. Since snow dog voted for me, I asked him who he targeted, which was Nev. I misinterpreted his answer as Snow Dog and Nev being civ. Clearly it was just Snow Dog and not Nev too, but after the Night, Snow started to think Nev was good, so I thought he knew for sure. I had not figured out Snows role at this point yet though.
I did not use my secret to full advantage either. First day, no one wanted to vote for noobs, so fail. Then once it picked up everyone lynched llama quick, so seemed more and more tricky to play bad and good. So just went for good.

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
Awesome
Well done team, especially Lizzy who was basically on her own and new to the game! I really didn't expect us to win this especially after Nev and I died to essentially good guesses, but I got more hopeful towards the end. Snow, last night I was sat in our baddie btsc just waiting for you to cast the deciding lynch vote and hoping you'd end the game for us. Then I figured killing Viper was the best way for us to win because he was either the last steamie we needed to kill, or one of two, and Rey was unlikely to show up to vote in the final lynch.

You did well, and if we hadn't known you were unkillable we'd definitely have wasted at least one try on you because you were a threat to us. Nev and I had worked to make it so that if one of us was lynched the other would have an airtight alibi so we expected everyone to trust at least one of us regardless.Snow Dog wrote:I'm used to being not trusted, thought it was civ one night and you lot the other. Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
Oh come on! You had me figured out the other night (and before), not to mention the fact that I was this close to going after Rey with this NK because you specifically mentioned that he was a steamy. This NK was suggested by Bullz and Nev agreed. So I almost fell for it as well. No worries, this is how we evolve.Snow Dog wrote:I'm used to being not trusted, thought it was civ one night and you lot the other. But maybe you are right. Ha! Thats why it worked so well when we all voted to same thing. I tried voting in the second place answer since that worked twice, but then it seemed like everyone knew something I didn't on one poll so I just followed the herd after that.

After Nev died, I was convinced you had pulled the same thing for another player too, but based on what I knew of Snow Dog I couldnt figure out how he and Nev could be bad, so I thought it had to be McViper.Bullzeye wrote:AwesomeWell done team, especially Lizzy who was basically on her own and new to the game! Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [Night 9]
I beg to differ. You figured out my game with that last post, which I though was absolutely amazing.Hedgeowl wrote:Thank goodness you ended it now Epi!
