Maybe it wasn't so much trust as the fact that you had worked out the puzzle so why not take advantage? Why would you hint at being bad?
I was going to post the puzzle I sent in but when I went into my sent messages to copy and past I realized what I sent wasn't in the layout form I meant for it to be so I'm guessing it didn't count.

Liz, would you mind posting what you sent in anyway? I think it'd be helpful to have a record out there. And who knows; I generally find Epi understanding with nontraditional answers and such.

A B C D E F
21
9 2 7 6
2 4
1 7 5 4 2 19
9 3
10 4 9 13
So yeah, big help I am

I hate it when my computer shuts down in the middle of a post.
I said if Boogs flipped Ganon I would go back and look at Snow Dog. What I can see from his posts are (jmo) his votes don't seem for very solid reason, he seemed to want to discuss the kakuro, then he didn't, then he did again, and he's voted civvies 3 days in a row. As has Elohcin. But FWIW, based on an exchange they had a few pages back, I don't think he and Made are on a baddie team together so if one gets lynched and is Hyrule I'd say the other probably isn't.

The Case Against fingersplints (So Far)
I said before that fingersplints has played a significant role in every civ lynch so far this game, a charge she denies. Let's look at the facts:
- On Day 1, fingersplints did NOT vote Made, who was lynched. She voted AP, in a somewhat jokey manner. She voted him to see whether the vote-switching worked, and
left her vote on him without any explanation when she found out it did.
She did say this before the lynch train got rolling: "
fingersplints wrote:
Made throwing out three names makes me wonder. He just did that in the speed game as well. So is he trying to get those of us who played to associate him this game with Civvie him that game, or is he really a civvie? I don't feel strong enough either way as I think he is tricky to read.
To be sure, a noncommittal post, but one that I argue helped Made get lynched. I think voting AP was any easy way out of any responsibility for that, so she'd have deniability for just this situation.
- On Day 2, she went hard after Hedge, who she had mentioned a fair bit Day 1. She noted repeatedly that sable and Hedgie expressed confusion about the same thing, but said every time that she thought Hedgie was more suspicious for it because she had not posted on-topic as much. She dropped the 3rd vote overall, MP being the second. MP voted Hedge because of the points being brought up about her bygone other than fingers.
S~V~S wrote:Russ, this was MPs first post about Hedge; he referenced Splints suspicions.
MovingPictures07 wrote:Yay no death!
Nice job, those who worked on the riddle.
Made wrote:Yo MP,

Very good question, sir! I'm not honestly quite sure yet, I'll have to think about it myself. However, I did wonder if there was a push to lynch you over Sabie due to saving a teammate OR whether a push to lynch both of you could have been bandwagoned by some baddies.
I also wonder if splints is onto something with Hedge's posts being all jokey too, that was a good point.
Her vote was the second on Hedgie. Pretty open-and-shut that she was the conductor on this lynch train.
- On Day 3, fingers kept asking people about Elo, which she had done on Days 1 and 2. She'll say she had no part in the Boogs lynch because she dropped her NO U vote on me, but check this out:
fingers starts talking Boogs on Day 1, for being confused about the roles. fingers was very waffle-y on Boogs for days, and eventually seemed to decide he was more likely good,
but she made sure to keep dropping his name.
fingersplints wrote:So, does anyone else find it safe to assume Boogs isn't at least 8 civvie roles now, or he would have asked Epi how the overworld/underworld works? Not saying he is bad, it seems less likely to me anyways he is one of those roles.
fingersplints wrote:I'm a bit skeptical of all the confusion. Some of it may be genuine, but some baddies like to feign confusion in thread. I've done it myself loads of time.
fingersplints wrote:I also don't understand Boogs post there. But I'm still unsure if I think he is more likely a guardian or hyrule. Some of the weird posts he has made it seems likely if he were bad he could have cleared them up in his btsc.
Then on Day 3 her tone changed pretty dramatically. These are 3 posts in a row she made early on Day 3:
fingersplints wrote:I know I said early that Boogs if was bad could ask his teammates these things. But what if that is precisely what he wants us to think. And then I got to thinking. Boogs has made it pretty obvious he isn't underworld/overworld with his early remarks... So if he was a Civvie, why wouldn't the mafia have killed him already? If he is a guardian they need to take those out to get Ganon. So why take out MP who could be a vanilla Civvie still for all they know.
fingersplints wrote:and I agree ninja. "go civvies" comments tend to catch my eye. He seems to be reiterating it to make it stick

fingersplints wrote:One more thing about Boogs, and someone can correct me if I am wrong, but when he is a Civvie he seems to post stuff like "my kitty whiskers are twitching". When he was a baddie in the one direction game I don't remember him saying that, and he hasn't said it here. Can someone tell me who has played with him more if he makes cat references as a baddie too?
The best analogy I can draw here is that she got the train rolling, jammed a rock under the brake lever, and hopped the hell off. Again, a civ gets lynched, she gets deniability, and everything is peachy for the goodies.
Finally, to address a point that fingers seems intent doing this to:
fingersplints wrote:Dom wrote:Why

She was one of the only people who has also found Russ suspicious.
She is a good civive. Maybe someone wanted to take her out while she was afk

You are positively wrong. Funny how SVS thought I was a civvie and thought you were bad enough to consider voting for you yesterday, and now she is dead.
I await your case to see what more BS you can come up with.
Buddying up to a confirmed civ, much? Only problem is the facts don't support your case. S~V~S initially thought my vote was suspicious, but she ended up acknowledging my point and dropping it. The full exchange below:
S~V~S wrote:I am voting for Russ. When he said Splits was piggybacking MP, and it was pointed out to him that that was not the case, he was like, well, um, ok, but I suspect her anyhow.

Also, for the record, I think fingers' behavior makes it clear she was trying to set up an Elo lynch for today, based on their voting records. I hope you won't mind me saying that you have a reputation as more of a follower than a leader on lynches, and that made you an easy target. I don't buy it, and I hope other won't either.

Again. Working shit out in the thread. You basically have just cut and pasted every mention there as "proof" and say it is "dropping his name". He was being discussed. So how is it really "dropping his name"? I don't change my tune at all in any of those posts. All of them seem equally unsure of him. I never once said I was sure he was a civvie or sure he was a baddie.
And I didn't "get the ball rolling" I wasn't the first one to mention him. Except for that first day. You are correct, I was the first to suggest that he was likely to not be underworld/overworld. That meant I EVEN POINTED OUT TO THE THREAD, he was likely an important civvie, indy, or baddie. You are the one who was pretending the last day that it was better to lynch him then the other people who you "also thought were civvie"

First off, SVS is not a confirmed civvie. Unless you know who the River is.
I do not see anywhere SVS says she "no longer suspects you". She switched to Made because something more suspicious came up. That also is not the entire exchange. People can go back and read her posts themselves. I am not going to do what you did and cut posts to serve my purpose.
Pointing out something twice is hardly beating a dead horse. Why don't you keep overexagerating your points for emphasis.
Again, saying that I caused 3 civvies in a row to be lynched is absolute horse shit. I'd like to ask MR here if he really thinks I caused all three lynches here. Because he has only said I caused hedgeowl to be lynched. So now you are just putting words in other people's mouths as well.
Also, pay attention to his last quote there. He thinks that lynches are going based off not good cases, so he presents a bogus case for everyone hoping people won't actually read it and just follow it. Guys don't fall for that.
My responses aren't as nice and neat, but this is as good as it gets. People like Dom who know me better will tell you I operate mostly off gut. Carefully thought out long detailed posts just isn't my style.

Thanks, fingers crossed. Or I suppose I could just ask.
Part of me feels like you are trying desperately for us all to think FS is bad for your own nefarious reasons but at the same time I haven't really been looking at you and it would come back really bad on you if she is lynched and comes back Ganon. So um...

The big question I would have is did her posts have a big influence on anyone's votes? And are you implying she and MP were teammates? Didn't Hyrule most likely commit the NK on MP? Or was it just as likely the River? I'm actually really baffled as to that particular kill since MP seemed a more likely target for a lynch than some others. I'm not trying to defend her I'm just not as sold on her guilt as you are at the moment. Subject to change based on more posts and others thoughts and cases.

Hyrule can JUST AS EASILY submitted a puzzle. In fact, could have even easier, since they would have had their btsc to work it out in as well.
I did not submit a puzzle. I was skyping with my husband, and ran out of time to do it last night. Plus I don't really like doing puzzles and stuff in mafia games. That's why I made sure in the sign up thread that I wasn't going to be required to do any before I agreed to play this.

I agree with this. It's standard behavior for Elo, and
this post from Dr. Who reminds me of that.

I'm with llama Russti. I'll read over your case tomorrow. It's getting late fore me.

Okay, thanks. I should have gone back to check. So that still leaves me with the same question for Russ. I probably won't have a chance to check in on the game again until about 2 hours before the Day ends unfortunately.

Correct. I was trying to set up Elo for a lynch by saying I was going to vote sabie. Genius ploy on my part!
Russtifinko wrote:Liz, fwiw, I would imagine Epi would take your submission. It was correct and unique, and mine was in a similar format and I didn't get any complaints.

Liz, I am not saying MP and fingers are/were teammates. MP was almost definitely a civ, and he certainly wasn't a goodie. I was just raising the point that her posts caused his vote, because he mentioned her posts specifically in his posts leading up to the vote. I think he got suckered, and I think others have been as well.
And thanks for bringing this up, it's a point I also wanted to raise. I was taking little to no scrutiny before I started talking about fingersplints. It makes absolutely
no sense for me to go after her like this if I'm a goodie, because if she dies and is good it looks really bad for me. Since there are only 3 goodies and they all seem likely to be very powerful, risking getting lynched in order to kill fingers would be dumb when I could just NK her if I were a goodie.

Why would you NK me after already working to get me lynched?
Since you want to play the wifom game, It makes literally no sense for me to be a baddie game based on the kills. Why would I kill someone who was agreeing with and another person agreeing with me and also defending me?
Also, your defense is that why would you be vocal about getting someone lynched if you were a baddie, when your entire argument on me is that I have led three lynches therefore must be bad. lol

I don't think anyones votes were for solid reasons. As for this kakuro charge, well I refute it.

Okay, I am awake and I have read your case Russ. I appreciate how much work you put into it, but frankly, I'm not convinced. I don't think baddie Splints would be as aggressive as she has been this game. Leading lynch trains is not really a smart way for Hyrule to win, so I don't find your charge of her leading the Hedgeowl and Boogs lynches convincing.

I doubt anything else will come up to convince me otherwise, especially considering I will probably be a topic of heavy discussion, so I am voting sabie now.

Interesting case on splints Rusti. I am not guilty free of voting on cases which aren't great either. But at least they were cases. I know that's of little use now but if we can find a better case on someone i'm up for it. I'm just not sure your case on splints is any better than previous cases.

After all of this discussion, I'm starting to see how splints could be bad. If she wanted to frame Russ or Made for SVS she could because they are the ones SVS was suspicious of. She was a part of the hedge civ lynch and also has voted for and is going after Russ and posting about Russ. Then all of the sudden now she agrees with llama and votes me without much of a case against me. I don't know what I did other than be busy and not post as much. I haven't been a part of the most recent civ lynches.

Do you just automatically accuse anyone who votes for you of being bad? Because it seems that way.

Yeah, and a big part of that reason is "she voted for me."

was that to me or llama? Because you have accused both of us being baddies. And now you say we want to help the baddies. So you don't really think we are bad then? or you know we aren't

It was a general statement. I still believe you guys are bad, but if others jump on the bandwagon and vote me they will be helping to kill another civ.

since it finally seems to be over, did anyone else find Splints rants last night kinda weird? like I get defensive, but it seems like it was a little farther than normal. Anyone know splints pretty well?

I don't really think I took it "too far". Although I'm a little confused how Made knows it's "farther than normal" but then asks if people know me. Anyways, it's a little frustrating, because all I have done is be active and try to work out in the thread who the baddies are, and I have been accused of leading every civvie lynch. While I disagree that that is true it's incredibly frustrating. seems I would be better off to just keep my mouth shut because players who barely post are rewarded
