i can offer some explanations: they wasnt sure u were gonna shoot me and didnt wanna take the risk and/or protecting a town from a vig shot is still good for mafia because then you get to yeet them

if i was shot and flipped town someone else gets yeeted today, it advances the game faster

if im kept alive as town the PoE is resolved 1 slot slower and scum de facto earn a bonus night kill potentially depending on how night goes

why would any of this be preferable to you getting shot overnight?

because the game advances slower for town if i get misyeeted today

and the game goes faster for town if i was to get shot tonight

vig shot / day yeet both serve the purpose to kill scummy people

the slower the town solves the game thru using these tools, the more chances scum gets to night kill people and hide amongs the poe

I am concerned specifically with your language when addressing this particular accusation: "it didnt look that way to me." My issue is this: a town tutuu doesn't even need to have this thought. She has no reason to even be considering that Jackofhearts2005 could have a red peek on her, because such a reality is impossible unless Jack is an insane cop of some sort. He's not. So... why was this an issue that you looked into, regardless of what others were saying about you/Jack?

if mafia has a jailkeeper / roleblocker / disruptor its more sensible that they targeted tim because he is claimed town KP and if they know its the true, then preventing that town KP from going off is potentially benefitial for scum regardless of where its pointed at

the most simplest thign to think imo is that mafia blocked tim because there are probably other wolves in our PoE that were in danger of getting shot

i agree that this would be a simpler explanation. i think tim being roleblocked was a simple explanation to a convoluted mess of mechanical speculation in radiohead as well. So we will have come full circle.

Do we have any specific reason to assume the mafia team has a roleblocker/jailkeeper/protective ability other than just basic setup speculation? i don't mean to suggest those are unreasonable abilities for them to have, i'm just askin' is all.
