Akemi has seemed town this day phase for me, her claim of an anti-town role that gets a boost if you win the roleplay award is believable to me based on what I know. Despite not understanding 1312's reads I trust him because of the miller claim and the fact that he was fishing for the vig and thought it was Made doesn't seem scummy. My Shell has claimed vig and that claim I believe will selve resolve sooner or later.

That leaves the POE to me (excluding nutella who I am voting) as PonyStarkPrime, Martin and Fuskdall. And between those, Fuskdall seems the towniest, followed by Martin and then PSP. If nutella flips town somehow we will have to re-evaluate everything but for now this is how I see the game.

Right so I don’t feel like I am close to having anything figured out, and the thread also felt like it was dead and going nowhere, so I decided to just be weird for the night to see what would happen.

Maid tried to engage me and got frustrated and yelled at me. It felt authentic. I called them town.
Quokka instantly started shading me for it and either used it as confirmation bias to strengthen a real and existing scum read on me, or is a wolf who needs me in their POE so they didn’t actually give it any thought and just blanketed me in shade because that’s what the gameplan is.
Fuskdall didn’t really talk to me. At all. Why fuskdall? Why?
My Shell made one post declaring me a suspect. They did not elaborate.
TopSellingPants decided to read motives into my posts that didn’t exist. It feels town.
Nutellaphant acknowledged that my vote counting looked town because they assumed I was assuming a wolf flip from them, but then reverted back to the scum read that has existed on me since they entered the game, now insisting for some reason that Quokka and I are teammates.

I wish fuskdall had engaged with me, but I read them as town otherwise. I’d still like to know why they didn’t.
I think the natural response to my behavior is frustration and confusion. I think it would be possible to interpret my behavior as suspicious, but I also think that that is the conclusion that the mafia team would have to reach. In a sense, I was daring them to do it. I thought My Shell’s response was the weakest in that sense. I did not like it.
Quokka’s makes a bit of sense from a frustrated townie, but I wouldn’t rule them out as a suspect. I’ve had a few other mild pings from them. Those GTH reads I shared in the middle of my one-word post episode were genuine.
I struggle to read TofuStuffingPan because I can’t tell how much of their bluntness is just roleplay, but at some point I need their reads to actually go someplace.
Nutellaphant seemed to take my behavior as confirmation that I’m bad, and on that note I’d like to point out that they still have not explained why my pursuit of them over the last three game phases has been “opportunistic.”

The point of bkth exercises was to help me better understand what has happened in the game so far and also to function as devices for conversation.

Everything that I listed in there about you were reasons to scumread you except one. Don't twist my words Martin.

Whatever you say Martin. I think you are either scum trying to mischop me, or very bad at reading me, and I am getting angry whichever one it is you are so I am leaving. You are probably mafia and trying to push me off nutellaphant here by baiting me into a 1v1 and I won't let you, I will switch back before EOD.

A few people made brash assumptions about my motives and intentions when I was being weird, but no one was more aggressive in this than Quokka.

The allegation that I was "twisting their words" was amusing and hyper-defensive from my point of view. I was saying and doing as little as possible, so I couldn't fathom in what way I was twisting any words. I was saying the least amount of words possible by design and letting the rest be filled in around me. I was left with the impression that Quokka was twisting their own words on my behalf. I requested a read from them, and they wrote a relatively meticulously paragraph summarizing several points about me and then mentioned that I am in their POE, but at no point in that paragraph did they explicitly state what they believed my alignment was. The mention of a POE does imply suspicion, but a player can be in the POE without necessarily being read as mafia. That's the nature of a POE list: if everyone in it was mafia then the game would be over. I wanted a read, a clearly defined stance, and Quokka did not supply that right away. They did after I stuck my tongue at them, though. But that's when they started accusing me of twisting their words.

The notion that I was "swinging back and forth wildly and it doesn't make sense" was also funny to me. I don't know what Quokka perceived as my starting or end points from which I was swinging. I also don't know why "swinging back and forth" would be problematic in this instance. And lastly, "it doesn't make any sense" should either be entirely self-evident, or not a concern at all. I am saying as little as possible here, and it should be obvious that I'm doing this by design. So obviously I'm not making sense. I'm not even attempting to make sense. Quokka attacking me on those grounds is like condemning a giraffe for having a long neck. It looked silly, like a player who felt compelled to accuse me of something no matter the circumstances.

The last post in this sequence actually got me to crack a smile. "You are either scum trying to mischop me" and "You are probably mafia trying to push me off nutellaphant here by baiting me into a 1v1 and I won't let you" are both wildly and exuberantly overreaching assumptions about my motives and my gamplay on a very basic level.
If I was "trying to mischop" Quokka here, if that was my specific and intentional goal, I'd take a much easier, much more direct, and much more conventional route. Again, my only goal here was to say as little as possible and let others react and fill in their own gaps. I was letting others play Mafia Mad Libs, I guess. I am saying negative things about Quokka here, but they absolutely do not have the strength necessary to compel a group of people to vote for them. It's downright goofy that they would construe that as any sort of effort to inspire a bandwagon. My behavior is deliberately not motivational. What sane person is going to read this exchange and think "Martin's making some cogent points, I better vote for Quokka"?
"You are probably mafia and trying to push me off nutellaphant" is another wild overreach. I didn't do that. I didn't request that Quokka heighten their suspicion of me. I certainly didn't do anything that would indicate a preference for people not to vote for nutellaphant. All I did was dig back into the thread and offer a couple GTH reads on some posts that stood out to me.
I would also like to point out that both Quokka and nutellaphant responding to my weirdness by accusing me of being partnered with the other and attempting some convoluted form of distancing. Is that a coincidence? Or am I one of the scum team's targeted mis-eliminations today?

In fact, when I saw Quokka's POE for the first time last night, my immediate impression was that they were mafia. It necessitated that the mafia team outside of nutella must be in me/fuskdall/TopSecretPortfolio, and that almost certainly isn't right. Does anyone think that POE has a chance of being correct?
