Painting Xs on peoples back is not a very polite thing to do, but it's last man standing, so yeah.

I think a fun thing to do, while we're still early in the game is to look closely at what people's strategies are, as this should be the part of the game where those are developing for the first time. Like i said previously, It's important to realize that this isn't traditional mafia, meaning that traditional mafia methods and thinking isn't going to be what wins this game, it's going to be avoiding death. Now there's many ways to do that, but some work better than others. Let's look at the ways that haven't worked this game thus far. and why they haven't worked.

1. Captain Creepy
Description: Acting like your the leader of a noble cause
Why they died: This alienated players, making them wary of the thoughts and motives this player might have
What can we learn from this death: Try to appear as transparent as possible to gain trust. Mystery draws fear and distrust

2. Vendeada
Description: Launching a personal vendetta against another player
Why they died: It gives killers a reason to kill you. Guilt by association, is a very easy way to keep control of who gets talked about during the game
What can we learn from this death: Don't threaten players by name, unless you're sure you groupthink will kill them by nightfall.

3 I AM MIA AMA
Description: Being a low poster
Why they died: No body likes killing people they perceive as engaged/interested. It's a guilt free vote.
What can we learn from this death: Posting enough to remain on the radar is important to surviving. as long as you appear often, you'll be harder to lynch.

Now let's look at some strategies that have worked so far!

1. Grouplove
Description: Agree with everything everyone says
Why this has worked: Agreeing makes you visible, and a potential ally to everyone, thus helping you to avoid both night kills and lynches

2.
Description: Say nothing that upsets other players
Why this has worked: Again, you're saying words, so you're visible, but you avoid any possible suspicion because what you're talking about ruffles no feathers.

3. Casebuilder
Description: Build cases/ demonstrate reasons why a person should vote a certain, then finish the job, and get the player lynched, or near lynched.
Why this has worked: Leave no ties! There's no reason to kill a player if they're attachment has died. It's not like typical mafia where the role reveal shows they player was actually a civvie. IF you're a persuasive player, this is a very valid strategy

There's many ways to skin this cat of a game, but outlining them might force rapid cat-skinning meta evolution, which sounds pretty interesting imo.

Also changed my mind on the targeting thing

I have done none of these things. Does that make me tomorrow a good lynch target?

I don't like this.

I have never done those things either MM - in any game

GMan I agree. Though I would much rather be lynching Made. I do not get his point about posting styles for this game. I will vote for Nutella today if you will consider Made for tomorrow.

I can eliminate well over half of these people from the set of people I think would kill LC Day One given recent history, where he gets killed in the early stages like every freaking game. I can eliminate a few more based on people who are playing for the lulz/intrigue factors, since LC generally brings them.

I think Nutella is a likely person to have killed LC~ and this was not even taking the boo kill into consideration. Sorry Nutella, you play so seldom these days, but i do think you are very likely to be Death.

I will vote closer to the deadline just to make sure no sudden MM or Bass wagons begin, and to give Nutella time to speak her mind a bit more. But if I had to vote this second, it would be for her.

Im votting Made,
here is why, I think is a good idea to have at least two candidates up for a lynch, so Im ok if is Nutella or Made
As Im becoming wary of swing votes, which I think if you look at the players list, is easy to figure it out, who they are
(If you watch survivor, and knows how it works you should also be worry about swing votes!)

But also a paranoid thought, do not spread the votes too much! as I think other banwagons may start to form and thats where those swing votes can change things

This game feels a lot like hot potato, and nutella seems to have the potato this time around. In a normal game, my inclination would be suspicion on those jumping on boo's speculations. But as others have said, this is LMS, and there is no suspicion; only brutal murdering of everyone who stands in the way. So I have no suspicion. Only bloodlust.

I will either be voting nutella or Made today. I don't like that first lynch survival and would like to get rid of a possibly dangerous role in Made. But I also like the idea of getting rid of a possible killer in nutella, if we are to go off of some detective work done by those in the thread.

Admittedly, it's not much but if there's anything to read between the lines, him blocking Nutella the night Death missed their NK is the logical conclusion and the most likely reason for him to suspect Nutella to be Death. As mentioned before, Death could have been thwarted by another role or two and boo could be mistaken.

The question is this: do we think boo was onto something or just on something? :P

Well he's not Epignosis so he may just be on to something.

I would never have killed LC! I was looking forward to playing with him for the first time in a long time, and I was disappointed that he died so early. I like having him around.

If I was Death I would have gone for players I didn't care much about interacting with or that I didn't know very well, at least at the beginning. And, seriously, do you really think I would have killed Boo after he suspected me? Too easy, and too dangerous. You can say this is WIFOM but if I was a killer I would honestly never do that. I was framed, and Death is out there laughing and planning his next kill. You'll be disappointed if you lynch me, and I know everyone wants everyone dead eventually, but you might even be sorry to lose my role.

Absolutely. I was just referring to the lull we typically have had in the first 24 hours of our day periods so far. I am not opposed to Made getting lynched. It just seemed like there was enough hesitancy toward giving him another go and I was intrigued by the bright, shiny, plausible (though incomplete) theory boo put out there in bits and pieces.

It's possible that Death is trying to set you up but it's also possible that you sent in your NK request early. You didn't post until right before Enrique said the night post would be late. Who knows? I'm genuinely intrigued by boo's suspicions and I won't be around at the end of the day phase, which is why I voted so early (gotta watch out for that time bomb!). Again, it's nothing personal; it's Last Man Standing.

I think the hilarious and frustrating thing is shaking suspicion in this game is just as impossible as it is in any other game even tho in typical games have good and bad guys. Not sure what that says about the way mafia is typically played...
