Ever since her 'unkillable' claim, I've been rolling the issue of Esooa around in my head.

I've already said so, but my immediate impulse with that claim is to yeet her just to see if she can be yought.

So here's a list of pros and cons of chopping Esooa, sorted by her possible alignment and TRUE/FALSE status of unkillable claim:

If Esooa Is Town, and the Unkilliable Claim Is TRUE
PROS:

We finish the day without a mis-chop.

We have a member of our team that scum can't kill.

CONS:

We finish the day without chopping scum.

It narrows scum's list of potential targets.

CHOP OUTCOME: Fairly null, slight lean toward decent.

If Esooa Is Town, and the Unkilliable Claim Is FALSE
PROS:

Well, at...at least we know?

CONS:

Mis-chop.

Scum get to laugh at us. Probably call us names too. Darn scum.

CHOP OUTCOME: Bad.

If Esooa Is Scum, and the Unkillable Claim Is TRUE
PROS:

Our free time that we would otherwise devote to the game is now open for literally anything else.

CONS:

We wasted our time on a fundamentally broken game.

Strawhenge never signs up for a game of Maphia on the website mafiathesyndicate dot com ever again.

CHOP OUTCOME: Fuck this. Also very unlikely.

If Esooa Is Scum, and the Unkillable Claim Is FALSE
PROS:

Yay, we caught a scum. We deserve medals.

We don't have to think about this unkillable claim anymore. Our brains are literally free.

CONS:

None.

CHOP OUTCOME: Pretty great.

If Esooa Is 3P, and the Unkillable Claim Is TRUE
PROS:

She claims she's out of x-shot abilities, so maybe that's also true, and she's just a tree stump.

CONS:

High likelihood of a win condition that could still come true.

A possibility that having the most votes at EOD is actually her win condition. (This possibility makes me the most nervous.)

CHOP OUTCOME: Bad.

If Esooa Is 3P, and the Unkillable Claim Is FALSE
PROS:

Yay, we caught a 3P. We deserve medals.

Like, no, seriously, I can think about other stuff now.

3P is likely not a killing role. An unkillable 3P who can x-shot a bunch of abilities and get a kill? Yeah right.

A possibility that never being the EOD chop-vote is actually her win condition. (This makes me nervous, but I find it less likely.)

CONS:

As in the previous scenario, what if the act of trying to chop her gives her her win condition, even if she dies?
- CHOP OUTCOME: Decent, but also indicative of some real fuckery by our gracious host.

The second one I don't see as likely in a balanced game. The first one, though, feels like a plausible non-killing win condition for a 3P. I don't recall if I've been in a game with something along those lines, or just read about it somewhere, but that possibility is the most nagging thought in my brain when it comes to Esooa.

If Esooa is town, there's either no/negligible harm or just pain.

Anyway, I'm not as interested in chopping Esooa as I am in discussing the following:

@Michelle surviving to D6 as a claimed cop, existing in a game with a scum team capable of superkills. I was satisfied with Michelle's response to my nervousness regarding her fake red peek on Alison, and I do trust y'all's meta-read of her, but I can't ignore the strangeness that she's still alive. At the very least, it warrants a re-examination. Michelle, who did you target last night and what was your result?

@Justplayingitcool. As previously established, I still think he's the best choption as of this moment.

@Oddmerta and @KZA and the possibilities that either or both of them is scum, following Alison's death.
