Did anyone else notice A Person's last minute vote-without-posting for Boogs? Ordinarily I would say it is too obvious, but it could be a desperation move of the last of the Moria Goblins.

Would you believe me if I told you I was almost about to post that Eloh is almost certainly good and that it would be a huge mistake to lynch her and now that she turned out bad I'm glad I didn't post that because it would have made me look bad, q.m.

:srsnod: I saw that too when I checked the last 5 minutes of the poll. There were some people who didn't vote or check in that may be worthy of another reread Day 4 also. :ponder: I think for as of right now, I'm getting a feel Mongoose is on the other goblin team with SD. As of who the last of MP's teammate is right now, the mystery thickens! :eye:

My interpretation of was, if you forgot food you had to choose whether to eat, if you forgot drink you had to choose whether to drink. It was just worded poorly.

Wow. Good job to the Elo-voters!

Hey, I'm actually with Boogs on this one. It looks like we have a choice, which I don't quite understand. If we have to take the one we didn't pack, we wouldn't have to decide whether or not to accept (per the host). But if we do decide, does it mean decide between food or drink?

I think the options are "receive a gift from the Elves according to the item you forgot", or "No, refuse their hospitality". Players who brought both are forced to refuse.

Woohoo! Good job, Rob! I would have probably voted for either Eloh or Mongoose, but this is a fantastic result! I can't think of a time I've ever seen us get 3 baddies by the end of Day 3. That's awesome!

@Host: So since I didn't vote in the Night 1 poll, should I treat that as having forgotton to pack both food and drink, or do I have to refuse the elf's hospitality because I was on vacation and a loser and not awesome and didn't vote at all?

You mentioned above that you stated "She hasn't contributed a single original thought."

However, If Eloh was indeed on a team (and thus she voted earlier to save/attempt to save a teammate) then wouldn't her teammates be feeding her some original things she could say, if she hasn't found her feet yet in such a large game?

Please let me know if this was not as coherent as I intended. I'm a bit in a rush to make it to yoga on time.

(Eloh, I hope it doesn't make you feel awkward me talking about you when you're in the room, sug).

Okay, I see where you are going with this but I am a little leery of the causation-correlation thing. BUT if we can do a universal comparison to see which players NEITHER of them cited? I think that would be a good list to have, my friend. We might get some gold out of that. Further, if practically the only player neither of them mentioned was Elo, then I think you might be onto something.
Mongoose wrote:
kneel4justice wrote: Are you suggesting that the remaining 2 members both went un-cited, or that someone else instead of Elo went un-cited and she is not their teammate?
I'm not really saying anything yet; I gotta see the stats. However, if there were only 2 names neither cited, I'd really wanna know about it. MP was only here for Day 1 period though, so I bet the list would not just be 2 people.

And again, I'm leery of the causation = correlation argument, so even though Eloh is on that list -- that alone isn't enough to ensure my vote for her without some intense, corroborating evidence.
Mongoose wrote: linki Kitty

Dude if she was that conspicuous and I was her teammate? I'd be super pissed.

And your impression is dead on. I do want to open the field more to just Eloh to a) ensure more thorough baddie hunting and b) to make sure a potentially-innocent Eloh doesn't get wrapped up in a flawed Causation = Correlation Gambit.I think she very easily could have voted me, and if she had known I was going to vote her, maybe she would have (I don't mean for petty retaliatory reasons, obv). But you know her a lot better, so you are the better judge of that.

In case there's a Lie Detector in this game (or an item) - I'm not on either baddie team. I also have pretty hair.
I got the impression that Mongoose did not want to suspect Eloh.
When there was potential evidence she (MP and FZ never mentioning her) she wanted to bring attention to others so that would not be considered so concrete.
I think the way she does it (admitting to it in the last quote) was really trying to sound like a civvie. It doesn't read genuine to me.

These interpretations are correct. If, and ONLY if, you voted that you forgot food or drink in the Night 1 poll, you may choose to receive what you forgot from the mysterious elf tonight. You may also choose to refuse.

If you did NOT forget food or drink (for example, if you voted that you forgot a rope or diary, if you were not playing on Night 1, or if you forgot to vote in that poll), then it's probably simplest if you refuse the elf's hospitality. However...

Metalmarsh89 wrote:I didn't forget anything (aside to vote in the Night 1 poll). Can I still have elven wine?
If you didn't forget drink but still REALLY want elven wine, you are welcome to it, I suppose. The mysterious elf did offer it, so he can't really do take-backsies without being a bad host.

Hi babes. Super quick post because I have people over but I'm being a sneaky sneak! I am relieved about Eloh. I freaking wrestled with that so much. Epi's streak still stands. I think this will be one of those games that we talk about in the future and its status as legendary is already cemented. "Remember when we lynched civs 3 days in a row?"

More tomorrow.

I am going to eat with the elf in hopes that it's like Persephone with the pomegranate and it means I'll never be able to leave Rivendell. Because that would be stellar.

I've already pointed this out, but I will say it again.

If I was only distancing myself from FZ, I am not very bright. FZ was literally the only suspicion I had during that time. WOuldn't you think that if I was only distancing I would have at least brought up someone else?

Epig, I would like you to answer that for me. Am I that unaware of proper distancing tactics that I would do what you are suggesting I might have done?

Sorry for missing the vote. I didn't forget about it and nothing physically kept me from voting, but it was my fault that I missed it.

Note: I had to delete the first quote in this string of quotes because of the 5 quote limit stuff.

I brought food and water so I'm going to politely turn down the elves offer.

Anyway, I'll be out of town again and will be back only tomorrow. Sorries.
Going with your gut doesn't make you automatically right, it just makes you more decisive :p

I don't believe I implied you were distancing from anyone.
