Do you agree that a LC lynch would be illuminative about Epi's alignment?

Soneji wrote:I'd put him in my moderate scum category at this moment. The thing I got pinged by most was the remark about not wanting to split the inactive voters block, which could be chalked up to difference in game philosophy.
I just prefer to have my vote count in a positive way, if possible. If I had voted soup, it might have made a difference and saved Sprit 1.0's life, but in a negative/ignorable way. As in, people wouldn't be saying "hey, good ol' LC saved Sprityo!" It was a gamble, and I lost.
That LC couldn't find much more merit in spirityo's D1 contributions then soup's one post giving excises for not being around is hard to justify though.
To be fair, I wasn't voting based on that direct comparison at the time. Sprityo was one of the "low posters" that I had decided to cast my vote for, and a scan of his 14 posts revealed very little judgable content.
Combined with him saying he doesn't have time to make other reads while he makes lost of posts defending himself/arguing about DDL, I can't see any reason to view him as townish.
It's completely based on the time of year. Approaching Christmas, there was lots to do. Grocery shopping for family coming here, last-minute Christmas shopping, wrapping, cleaning the house from top to bottom, going to work... then family was here on Christmas Eve, and some (just a couple) here today... but today is the turnaround point between me not having enough time, and me having enough time. I'm off work until the 29th. No more family is coming over. No more gifts to buy and wrap, no more obsessive house-cleaning. That is why my participation has gone up sharply.

No, but an Epi lynch would be illuminative of LC's. As I don't believe LC's interactions with Epi are fair to judge him for, Epi's interactions with LC would be.

I don't think there is any illumination to be had either way. Epi is as much a mystery to me as he is to the rest of you. If he's a Civ cop-type, then he's being blatant and will get killed for it (which is why I don't think he is one). If he's bad, then he's buddying me. If he's Indy... maybe he's eyeing me for Ishmael's team! More excitement!

Why would a baddie buddy up to you? Why would Ishmael buddy up to you if he wanted to covertly recruit you? Why would Ishmael want to covertly recruit you, of all people, in the first place?

Epi is gonna vote for you to save LC.

You're the only other option.

If you want to stay in this game, you're probably gonna have to vote for LC. Luckily, he's a baddie, so it's a win-win.

He took the fact that I had a weak and noncommittal Day 1, and decided I was a weak member of the pack, and moved to capitalize on that.

I'm pestering him for things I think make him mafia.

I also townread DDL and Spirityo, so this is more like the best possible scenario for me, RE: catching a baddie.

I'm not asking who's good. Thank you for giving me a decent reason to think you are bad though.
Do you agree that a LC lynch would be illuminative about Epi's alignment?
A baddie would buddy up to a Civvie in order to make that Civ trust them in a "we are so on the same page, we must both be Civ" kind of way.

Um, the Ishmael thing was not serious, dude. :|

I just don't understand how a person could, three separate times, twist the truth to make me look worse... and it's completely innocent. Maybe once, it could be a mistake. A misread. But THREE TIMES? That indicates that his primary intention is to make people believe I'm bad, and that he's looking for ways to use thread stuff to push that, accuracy be damned.

He took the fact that I had a weak and noncommittal Day 1, and decided I was a weak member of the pack, and moved to capitalize on that.
Ooh, are we restating cases?

LC had a weak and noncommital D1 and DDL wrote a case against him calling him on it. LC then seized upon "three mistakes" DDL ostensibly made when writing the case that are utterly irrelevant to the actual point of the case itself. LC took these three bloopers, and used them to try and lynch DDL, who was the biggest target going into D2 anyway.

He didn't try to baddie hunt after DDL called him out, choosing to only rant and rave about how obviously bad DDL is, as you can see in the quoted section above.

It ain't genuine, and it ain't baddie hunting.

I voted sprityo.

I like sig's gumption there and I don't think Eloh is bad, at least not yet.

why would a baddie buddy up to a civilian who is taking a bunch of in-thread heat?

I guess to maybe seem blameless once he flips civ?

Heh.

If LC flips bad, people will say Epi is his teammate.

If LC flips civ, people will say Epi just tried to keep his hands blood free in order to get people to listen to him.

He's stuck between a rock and hard place here.

Remaining civilians: Look at the timing of my vote post and the post before it. sprityo's only concern was not being lynched.
