I went in for all these hospital tests on Friday (well more of them) and they found out my lower esophageal sphincter is acting all stupid and lazy because of the car wreck I was in on August 30th and needs to be disciplined via surgery. It's a bit scary, but I was actually quite pleased because 1) I have a shot of being made whole now instead of kinda-sorta managing the symptoms via surgery and 2) finally feeling vindicated in that someone finally believed me enough to investigate via the right methods and found out the issue!

It's been a long 5 months, but I hope to get better through it. I miss eating beans! I can't wait to eat some more beans.

I had a dream last night Alison came to visit. We were chatting, but it was awkward irl and all we wanted to do was play mafia. So I wound up in the baby's room playing on my laptop which was in the crib on a pile of laundry and Allison was in my kitchen playing on her phone and we were talking through the door. I woke up thinking it had really happened at first and that we shouldn't have been talking about the game outside the thread.

Also, so glad to hear you had some answers finally Mongoose!

Very sad mr.Hoffman died. I liked so many of his movies. Heard a good interview on NPR last week from years ago as well.

I have dreams like that all the time about Mafia. Most of them have to do with leading lynches against civilians.

Me too actually. I had one about 6 months ago that I think would make an excellent screenplay. In it, Logan and I were supposed to meet for coffee to work on our novels, but the cafe wasn't open yet, so we wandered the city, but then accidentally joined a cult instead.

I know, right? It was fun at first and then it was very scary and we had to run away but we ran in opposite directions (doh). It was pretty terrifying (I think I have a cult-phobia honestly) but the second I woke up I was super amused.

The first time I met SVS - she was in the apartment for literally 30 seconds before she set up here laptop in my kitchen and she was mafiaing from there while I was on my phone on the couch. Then there was foods and much drinking.

Some dreams you guys have.

Last night I was fighting orcs in Georgia (the one from the Caucasus). We killed a few and then we had to run because there was a whole army of them. We found refuge in this very pretty but abandoned university building, which the orcs later set fire to. Then, we had to escape using the back door (and we lost Legolas and Gimli on the way, although they weren't even with us to begin with

)So we got out and there was chaos in the streets so we went to this bike shop outside the uni building to buy some bikes k. However, for some reason, we thought that getting wheelchairs was a better idea. Now the wheelchairs had to be assembled so we had to wait a bit for the dude who was in charge of the shop to go to the back and find the parts for them. After I managed to assemble mine it turns out it was hobbit-sized (I would have said midget, butt hobbit seems more politically correct k). In the mean time, a Georgian army battalion was looking for us for bringing the orcs there. I was also carrying two swords. I have no idea who 'we' was. Yeah...

That was so fun~ I know i kinda overwhelmed you, but you needed overwhelming, imo. You had a whole life densely packed in that place, and i was sad when it burnt, but also kinda...relieved? It freed you from your "things". But that was such an excellent evening, Stoners came out of it (that game was set in your apartment) and we still have to do Stoners 2

Yes. You are correct on all accounts. You gave me lots of insight into myself and what I needed. I was rather stuck in a rut. Sometimes you need a force of nature (or three) to help get you unstuck. You were a most excellent force of nature number 1.

Lol. That's right. I had sooo much fun writing posts for Stoners. We do have to do Stoner's revenge at some point.

It's expensive in the US too.

I have not smoked in about 2 years now. (I did once when I went home for Grandpa's funeral other than that, not a bit since moving out here.) That said, I prolly drink more than I used to. I kinda miss being a stoner sometimes. Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Squidbillies aren't near as hysterical as they used to be.
