Given that INH and Long Con both claim to have lynch immunities they MIGHT use tonight, I suggest we refrain from discussing who we intend to lynch until the next day phase. Telegraphing our next move will not end advantageously.

This would probably increase the likelihood that the Jean Genie is Denim Mini. With the secret role resolved, those *secrets* appear to be the most applicable source.

Super Serial Announcement

Guys, I totally confused myself. I need to make the next DAY cycle 48 hours because I will be visiting my grandparents who live in the forest, free of the WiFis.

I'll be in the car by 9pm EST, so please have your night actions to me by 8pm EST. Vote in the location poll by then too.

For Clarity: Night Cycle will end at 8pm EST.

Both Jean Harlow and the Denim Suit don't seem to have used their roles. They are the most productive civ roles, so what's the likelihood that they're just abstaining from using them?

linki: I thought the Jean Genie could be Jeggings. There's no visible secret associated with them but the description of 'Sassiness' is at least compatible with how he's carried himself.

Why did you say this but then keep inh on your suspect list?
Because that was a thousand years ago and much has changed since then.
It wasn't a thousand years ago, it was Tuesday night.

A few posts after that one you listed your suspicions and inh was still on it then too.
It was literally a thousand years ago.

I said I felt better about INH, but I never said I didn't suspect him at all. The empirical evidence is quite strong. At the time I made that post (which, to reiterate, was a thousand years ago I was probably least suspicious of INH out of anyone on my suspects list. Things he has said since then, and things others have said since then, and my own continuing ruminations on the state of the game now lead me to believe that he is the most likely suspect.
We are all trapped in the deathless world of Mongoose. Tuesday night really was 1,000 years ago. Mongoose is the Jean Genie and has us all trapped in her bottle. None of the dead players are actually dead, they just escaped.
I would really love this tbh

Why would the mafia need to protect a player? There's no vig listed. There must be a mechanic for another killing role, right?

Or am I missing something that would balance it out?

I thought it was pretty weird. The only use would be to fake a failed nightkill, but they have a blocker for that as well. No one has taken a "big shit" yet, so... I have really chalked it up to Mongoose being a silly goose. Maybe there's a secret redirect or killing item that will come up.

So Eloh came back not evil. So she didn't join the baddie team. I feel like it makes Quin slightly less likely to be bad, but there's probably a lot of factors that I'm not considering... most notably, maybe the Host doesn't give a damn what the baddies think. Sorry for the vote, Eloh, I'm 0 for 2 in the last two games reading into the mindset of a Host who is allowing a dead player to replace in.

His survival doesn't.

Just a thought on this. To suspect Boomslang is bad is to believe in the Roleblock Setup or some similar sinister scheme. A scheme in which part of the plan is to fake a kill on Boomslang on Night 1 for cred. There's no POV where you can suspect Boomslang and not believe in the scheme.

My point being, a) JJJ, of course Boomslang's survival means something to Quin, it's a huge central premise required to accuse Boomslang. It's almost silly to ask. b) Quin, when you say Boomslang's survival doesn't mean anything to you, it feels like you're saying something that's not real, which just makes me consider that you might not be entirely honest with your suspicions, which would of course indicate that you're bad.

A no lynch would hurt the civilians. That's why we need to know.

Separate question: what is your current read on LC and Quin?
I think no one dying is a slightly better outcome than a civilian dying, purely from a numbers perspective.

Quin is in my top three scumreads, along with you and Llama.

I don't like how quick LC was to turn on me in order to avoid blame for having incorrect opinions. Over the course of this day, he went from one of my top townreads to someone I'm on the fence about. I'm trying not to be blinded by his targeting me.
I'm sorry for the sudden turnaround. It was predicated by the sudden revelation that we had lynched another baddie in Wilgy, and reviewing some posts with that in mind. Your post I quoted before really looks pingy, why are you surprised to get suspicion for it? You are sending out the Civ vibes with the posts in a bunch of posts in this area, but I don't know if you're an old champ who can easily turn on the Civ charm when needed.

This game has been tough because of good players. Each person I have suspected has won me over in some way to make me admit "this player is really looking Civ right now". Even JJJ, since I know that was being asked about. For the record, I have never said I don't suspect him anymore. He's just played well enough to make me feel like maybe he's Civ. He could be bad. I may still vote for him at some point.

It's officially Friday in the States, so Casual Friday Jeans has a message for you:
Alright gang,

It's a relief to make it to another Friday! It's been a bit of a trial but here I am again to share my jean-brained thoughts with you. The Elohcin lynch didn't quite go the way we'd have liked, but we could have done worse. Let's take this opportunity to regroup and redouble our efforts, civilians. Let's bring out the big guns. Gimme those ISOs. Gimme those big analytic cases. Gimme those GTH reads. We're still in the driver's seat in this game and with a little team work I think we'll be just fine. Keep fighting the good fight. Never give up, never surrender. Go team go. Keep your foot on the gas. I am suspicious of Long Con. With a top POE lynch option removed in Elohcin though without an additional dead mafioso, I think we're going to need to reassess our reads vigilantly."

There's a world where his survival makes him a civilian, and a world where his survival means he isn't. Both are possible, both are logical. I won't throw unearned trust at Boomslang because the rest of you insist on calling the alternative a tinfoil. My read is based on his contributions, and his contributions suck.

Long Con wrote:JJJ is my favourite person in this game, because I'd probably be nightkilled by now if it weren't for him.
This is a new point about Long Con I am thinking about. On a couple occasions he has asserted that he's pleased to receive some suspicion because it dissuades his being night killed. In this comment he says he'd have probably been night killed without my aggression.

I don't know why he'd feel that way. Even without me in the equation, his voting record is still bad and there's still no objective evidence in his favor. I don't see why he'd ever be night killed over the people who have been targeted (Boomslang and Marmot were both strongly trusted after the DDL lynch, and Elohcin 1.0 had roleblocker cred).

On some level this reads to me like a bad guy feeling the need to justify his continued survival.
No no no... you of all people should remember, when you were most fervently trying to get people to weigh in and see what you saw, there were three or four people who said some variation of "nah, I get the Civ vibe from him this game". I read them and facepalmed, because it's the people who everyone thinks is Civ that often gets chosen for nightkill. People unlikely to be lynched. But your unwavering disbelief in me kept hope alive, my friend. :hugs:
