I don't think anyone will get away with that kind of argument though. Like, I don't expect scum to be stupid. His read just seems really tone deaf. Maybe even towny, but again, I don't know him at all. I felt Jeraldo also had really tone deaf reads.

The only town that has ever towned harder than Tutu is me in Space Invaders. If Tutu is not town here I will book a ticked, spite corona, walk to her house, bow down and kiss her feet and promptly return to Oslo and cry on the whole plan trip home. I would also policy lynch her D1 in every single future game. I just can't see it.

I mean, I get the feeling he's not really paying that much attention regardless, so it's probably all NAI. Also, taking my own advice from forever, it's probably not smart to speculate about what scum would and would not be on top of regarding thread flow and stuff. But it would be really cool if it's Lavender and Jeraldo literally going "let's go in and scum read all the obvious town power wolf weeeee", cause that would be so out there and I'd love it.

Anyway, I should try to get in my work hours before day starts and I get sucked into the black hole again, provided I don't get the sweet relief of death.
I think I gave out my thoughts, but basically
Tutu - never yeet, always love
Scirrus - claim is legit and he seems town anyway
Cobbler - honestly, probably never yeet
---
Michelle - town based off erect finger tell
Alison - probably just town tbh. I want to trust Tutu and M&N reasons, and I don't see why she would go out of her way to specifically clear me.
Urist - town because I just feel it and I haven't seen anything wrong from their posts. I could probably be fooled here. Still feel town even though I voted him.
---
MP - I really want MP to be town. I don't think she's scummy really, but she's burned me before. That caps lock though, seemed so genuine.
---
Proto - I have too many feelings about this read, but bottom line is that I read Proto easily as town last game despite not getting where he's coming from, cause he had clear town markers. I don't see the same markers here.
Lavender - kind of null, but in PoE. Probably someone I should iso actually
Jeraldo - not much to go on. Weird associative reads that seemed really random and drawn out of thin air. PoE.
1612 - only thing I remember is he town read Urist, which could be kind of convenient given the thread state if Urist is indeed town. If Urist is scum, I'd be more compelled to call them town as I don't know if a scummate comes in first thing and hard defends there. PoE.
^Literally, I think all my bottom reads are from Proto's community which makes me worried I have a huge bias for suspecting people with different styles or that I don't know, which actually I know I do. At the same time, I feel I have good enough reasons to town read or at least town lean other players. RNG is random, so wouldn't be surprised if at least two scum were in my bottom reads. Hopefully.

i'm not getting banished and lavender already thinks proto is scum. ergo me explaining why i think proto is scum has no value
damn that's efficient af
i'm sorry, i shouldn't be so curt, it's mainly a playstyle / 4h of sleep every day thing, if it helps i act like this to my coworkers as well even knowing i shouldn't.
there are reasons for why making cases, giving reasons, etc should ideally be avoided as town whenever possible.
mainly, it gives an opportunity for people to doubt your reasoning, even if it's solid.
people are generally pretty stubborn about their reads as well, so the chance of actually convincing anyone with logic is pretty low.
and it also gives mafia a way to say "x convinced me" if the person flips town.
Just going to say if everyone played like this, mafia is pretty unsolvable.

But yeah, I don't find any reason to think Jeraldo or 1612 is town. I know Proto hard reads both as town, but I don't trust Proto, and even if he's town, I don't trust his reads at all, sorry.
I think it's possible that Proto is scum here. I town read him pretty fast in Space Invaders, even if most of his posts made no sense to me.
Lavender gives me serious Wikkiden vibes (probably only a reference I know). But basically, it was a player who played in my champs game, and had a similar kind of light, jokey tone. I instantly scum read them for it, cause it reminded me of how I would come across as scum. But he turned out town. I had kind of the same feeling at Lavender's entrance this game. I don't know Lavender. I don't find him particularly scummy or towny really. I know some people town read him, but I don't know why, so I'd take a sales pitch on that.
Everyone else I town read to some degree or a large degree
Aren't these like the exact people from Proto's community though? Cause that kind of seems like a problem tbh

Still mulling Alison over but don't think can get votes on Alison because of tutuu and dizzy sheep meta. Not calling you sheep but there's a bunch of people not believing in the votes/reads and following requests to change votes. I think it just makes the game much harder to figure out.
Lavender seems town from recent interactions and finding inconsistencies and asking questions.

I feel like if proto was scum here he'd just play the way people expect him to play rather than going "I am deviating from my play in Space Invaders and here's why". It's not like it's a hard playstyle to fake.
But if proto is overly self-aware, wouldn't that make the sentiment effectively NAI?
Nope! Because faking the previous playstyle earns him towncred from Dizzy and tutuu (Dizzy even made a joke about how if he was town he'd have posted a huge wall of mechanics). I think it makes more sense to me that proto would simply do what gets him townread as scum rather than intentionally deviating from his play. Is faking this 100% outside of proto's scum range? No, but it's less likely enough that I'm comfortable giving proto a townread for it, especially in the context of the rest of his play.
Agree Alison townreading me for this is slightly odd, I would say "I will play differently" as both alignments, because it is true.

And I think Dizzy is probably town as well. That read is the one I'm least confident on but I liked the interaction with cobbler. Can anyone with a townread on Urist talk to me about them?
What specifically did you like about it?
Also, generally speaking, I apologize if I ask questions that end up being irrelevant by the time I catch up, but I typically prefer to catch up and post responses as I do so.
I felt a genuine enthusiasm from Dizzy to connect with and engage with cobbler, as well as actual happiness when they found cobbler to be town.
Have never seen town alison, but I dont think town alison would give a townread for enthusiam or happiness. Its NAI and easily faked.

You may be scumreading Dizzy this game - eh, he is probably town. like 70%.
Alison will seem towny to you but it doesnt mean she is town. Her scum game is S tier.

I like Urist for town already lol
Like the tone and think that asking if he should wait to give out reads is more likely to come from town
Think the tone is NAI, hesitancy to give reads is probably slightly scummy if anything, but not majorly so (since it can also come from hesitant town that doesn't know anything and doesn't want to be wrong).
On the other hand, MP7 is town.
disagree because I think scum would be more hesitant to ask a scummy sounding question like that. Or would ask their teammates over the thread, etc.
If it's a scum question i think it would be newb scum and Urist doesn't strike me as a newb
I think M+ looks good so far, mostly bc of similarity to the last game I played with her. What are your thoughts?
MP7 is super pure. I think she's town.
I think the only heavily AI post MP7 has made is their reads list. The rest is pure politeness and niceness. Im like wondering if anyone can be that nice all the time in real life. it must be fake to get townread. tinfoil for now, but not tinfoil if it turns out to be true. You know, for post game cred.

Once again morning came to the Pride Lands. The animals, exhausted from the emotion of yesterday, began to wake. They had slept soundly the night before, maybe too soundly as it soon became obvious one of them was missing. Could they be close by? Soon the Lion Guard who had been sent to search came back with the grim news. The Outlanders had struck again.
The body of Scirrus had been found.
Rafiki -- 2-Shot Doublevoting Pridelander
It is now Day 2. You have 24 hours to banish an Outlander from Pride Lands.
Whoever has the most votes at the end of the day will be banished OR with 11 players alive it takes 6 to reach majority before the deadline.

Think we are in setup C, so godfather, doublevoter, cop with N0 peek.
Mafia would have known which setup it was anyway if they had a GF and once double voter claims. Its also why mechanically Scirrius was the best kill, since it kills a confirm and there is no chance for a save.
If we DO have a doctor who didnt save scirrius, then just... we have different playstyles I guess.
I have a good idea who is going to claim cop here. I am waiting.

actually if the mafia have a godfather, it might not be worth claiming with 2 greens.
It brings the PoE to 8 with 2-3 mafia in that 8. Assuming the cop is killed tonight and a green is killed the following night, we have 1 non-goon in 7p. Which tbh is not that helpful unless it was someone who'd be banished otherwise.
But the n0 check is never the gf right? So that one is guaranteed. Hopefully it wasn't Nanook.
