Hello FZ! Let's answer questionsFZ. wrote:I forgot about this thread. I missed a lot of interesting people![]()
I need to make up for lost time, so here goes:
Disagreement with me. But also silence. I like all the chatter in the world. What annoys you most about other players?
Lately I've been exploring all the woods in my area, trying to mentally map any trails I can find, looking out for cool things, scaring birds, etc. I love going for big long jogs in the woods. My ankles and calves are currently covered in scrapes and bruises and things from some of the rougher days. What do you do for fun other than play mafia?
This thing we're all currently using; the one that's full of cats and naked people. I wish we'd make better use of it, though. What is the greatest invention in the last 200 years?
Peace of mind, happiness, satisfaction, etc. I have never been the type to set many particular or material goals for myself, but my aim has always been to be as comfortable and at peace with life as I can manage. If you could achieve anything, what would you want to achieve?
birds, jellyfish, people and their thoughts and ideas, plants, stars, language, mafia, this pain in my neck today, everything else I have not covered here. What intrigues you?
I'm very relaxed. I can't honestly remember the last time I experienced anger in earnest. This is an answer to both questions. I like my calm demeanor and positive attitude, but sometimes I also feel like it leaves me emotionally flat and I have a difficult time expressing myself or getting things done. I tend to procrastinate on a lot on minor things because "meh, they'll get done eventually".What would you say are your best and worst traits?
Is "life" a suitable answer? The simple fact of the existence of everything is wonderful and makes me want to take it all in. I'd like to get as much pleasure out of things as I can. What inspires you?
I couldn't agree moreSloonei wrote:Disagreement with me. But also silence. I like all the chatter in the world. What annoys you most about other players?
I liked how you summed it up as full of cats and naked people. But I expected you to call that the greatest invention. This thing we're all currently using; the one that's full of cats and naked people. I wish we'd make better use of it, though. What is the greatest invention in the last 200 years?
I forgive you.Peace of mind, happiness, satisfaction, etc. I have never been the type to set many particular or material goals for myself, but my aim has always been to be as comfortable and at peace with life as I can manage. If you could achieve anything, what would you want to achieve?
But, for a material/physical goal, I think I'd like to climb some mountains. And travel to every continent. Maybe get something published at some point in my life.
Forgive me if I'm starting to sound like a motivational speaker.
The only classes I really enjoyed in high school were English/creative writing and Latin. My school doesn't even offer any Latin courses, which still makes no sense to me. But that was never a choice of major, because do I look like a Roman to you? I've always liked stories and writing was a hobby when I was high school/beginning of college-aged, so being an English major seemed like a good idea. Some of my sentiments have changed but I am very pleased with my decision today.FZ. wrote:Why did you decide to major in English?
I don't know. Make them stop. Maybe people just have trust issues, and they disagree about things but have forgotten what those things are. Maybe it just makes them feel powerful, and they like power. Or to pretend they have power. Over each other. Isn't it enough just to have thumbs and higher reasoning? Why are there so many wars? Why is it so hard to live in peace?
I've come to understand that the rest of the world is full of things that aren't covered in cheese sauce. I've never been able to care about American politics, it's all a bunch of noise and silliness and I especially cannot stand the way we treat it all like one big spectacle. But that's just how we do things, I guess. I dunno. I've spent significant time outside the US each of the last two summers and thoroughly enjoyed every second of those experiences and learned a lot about people. Plus I've been using the internet for almost a decade now. I like the world, it's full of stuff. But I'm not really tuned into current events, domestic or international. Politics and pop culture are only a tiny piece of the world, though. How much do you know about what's going on outside the US?
How they'd like to be perceived by others. We're always trying to convey a certain message, that's what communication is. It's tricky, to always be on top of what you are and how others view you simultaneously. I prefer to come off as truly and honestly as I can. Things tend to be less messy that way. I've not fabricated anything in my answers, I'm an honest townie I swear.Would you say people answer the kind of questions you've been asked so far, in a way that mirrors how they really perceive themselves or how they would like to perceive themselves?

You do know where 'Long Con' comes from, right?juliets wrote:surely he'll answer juliet...
Nope, that would be lame. All my drunk Mafia-ing has been 100% real.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Long Con!
Have you ever faked drunk mafia-ing?
It's hard to remember all the games I have played, but a recent favourite is the complicated set of in-thread and map-based strategies we employed to win Flash Mafia... especially awesome because we were a baddie team without a kill!Golden wrote:Hey Long Con
Whats the favourite baddie gambit you've ever cooked up (whether it was successful or not)?
Those guys are great, but they also piss me off sometimes. Metalmarsh is always fun on a bun!Metalmarsh89 wrote:Epignosis or thellama73?
Or Metalmarsh89?
You and your memory tests. I guess it's the scheme wherein I cooked up the entire identity of Long Con. I had been banned from Lostpedia forums as Cerberus (my original handle) but I had changed jobs and internet providers, so I was able to sign back up and integrate myself as a beloved member of the community before the idiot mods had figured it out. By the time they knew, banning Long Con would have caused a HUGE shitstorm, so they had to let it be.Golden wrote:What is the longest con you have ever done?
I'm here. Busy last few days.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Heiots, :P
Long Con, where are you from?
Also, where have you gone? You've got questions to address pronto.
Don't answer this question Long Con! G-Man poisoned the chalice!G-Man wrote:Is it easier to co-host with your wife or solo?
Roxy wrote:LC - remember the music code you made for my Beatles game on TP (my first game I ever hosted). Do you still have lying around somewhere? I remember it, but the file is lost, unfortunately... hard drive crash with backups lost kind of thing... tumultuous times led to much loss. I can remake it.
What are you doing today? I cut down two big ugly half-dead prickly bushes at the side of our house (long time coming), and I trimmed back some other bushes, I cleaned a toilet that had gone too long without cleaning, and it was hard. I put putty in all the holes etc in the same bathroom, and sanded them, so the bathroom can be painted. Some time spent doing maintenance on Lego Ninjago things that get played with and lose pieces, I burned some garbage, I played a little Mafia, and I ordered a thing for Black Rock for our seventh anniversary.
Is it hot where you are? Yup.
How can you ever tell your kids "No" since they are so cute? (esp James <3) It's very difficult. And don't underestimate Tyler for a second, he's at probably the cutest age ever.
What is your favorite toppings on a cheeseburger? Bacon, ketchup, mustard, lettuce works for me.
Whats better cake or pie? Pie is a little better, but cheesecake rules all!
fingersplints wrote:What is your favorite mafia role you ever had? Connecticut Avenue. Just kidding. I was the Jedi Exile in Sawyer540's Star Wars: The Mandalorian Wars:
Jedi Exile - Not much is known about this young jedi, but she or he will start out powerless and gain abilities as the game progresses.
Powers will be gained pending the survival of each night for the first four nights and are as follows:
1. A secret, extra vote for each voting period.
2. One pardon to be used on any person on any day.
3. The ability to deflect one's night power onto another person.
4. The ability to kill... with a catch: The Exile must kill his or her fellow Jedi before being allowed to kill others and will assume the role usually referred to as the "serial killer." If the Jedi Exile chooses not to kill his or her team mates and assume this win condition, then all of his or her powers will be forfeited.
I chose to go for the power, and I guess I ended up killing my BTSC teammates for it.I won that game, and it was awesome.
Being the Alpha Wolf in Once Upon A Crime, and had loads of fun and was close to a win when Lorab and her Hoe of Justice took me out.
Another LP awesome win was as the Tavern Wench in Shinny's Pirates: Terror on the High Seas... A truly memorable part happened when Slyce23, who was known to be the Voodoo Priest (protector) chose to protect me on a late-game crucial night when it was clear that the baddies would either kill me or him.He died, but that night I got info that won the Civvies the game.
On the Syndicate, Walter White and the Black Knight were both amazingly powerful roles that I was able to employ to excellent wins... especially memorable was when juliets theorized that I was acting like I did in a previous game where I was an Indy, and I went hard with that interpretation, which got me to the win.
And I have to mention the Absorbing Man. Freckles ran a game on The Piano called Build Your Own Mafia, where we got to make up our own roles. I made the Absorbing Man - any power used against me would fail, and then I would have that power to use when I wished. Unfortunately, the baddie team was way to awesome and figured me out at some point, and basically laughed at me as they took out all the Civvies around me and got a crushing win.
Where would you like to vacation that you have never been to before? Bora-Bora.
What is the best item from The Sandwich Shack? I love the BBC. That is, the Bacon Bacon Cheddar. Peameal bacon, regular bacon, and cheddar cheese on a kaiser bun. So good!
What kind of venues are you guys at so far? Mostly fairs and events like that. We're doing the Havelock Contry Jamboree in August, a five-day outdoor festival of country music where people camp out or stay in trailers the whole time.
(I'm fairly interested in the food trucks. keys and I thought of starting one here. My favorite brother in law has been doing it for years and he spends most of the summer out of the state traveling. I loved when he had ones nearby because he'd make me whatever I wanted. I've helped out some, but my favorite time to help was when he had a contract to sell outside of Ralph Wilson stadium. All those drunk Bills fans. lol I watched one chick miss her sausage and pour almost an entire bottle of ketchup down the front of her without even noticing lol Do you have any funny stories? ) A few. Last year at Havelock, there was a pretty blonde drunk girl hitting on me at the window when her drunk boyfriend was distracted... and another drunk guy at a different event commented that my co-worker's ass was awesome, until I let him know that she was a 14-year-old girl, and he looked sheepish and apologized. I didn't have the heart to let him know she was our daughter.![]()
What is your favorite smilie you have made? Noble is my favourite.Followed closely by Grin.

G-Man wrote:What is the favorite mafia role you ever created? I'm really proud of the Seemer, just because it has become such a mainstay in our Mafia parlance. The Hunger is probably the best, though... but there's so many delicious ones to choose from.
Is it easier to co-host with your wife or solo? Solo hosting is the hardest ever. Hosting with BR is the way to go, no doubt.
Are there any themed games that you would like to see created? Infinity Gauntlet would be nice. I'd enjoy something based on R. A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms books. Really, the roles and their abilities, interactions, and win conditions make a game awesome or not, but the theme does make a big difference to me.
Do you want to collaborate on a game with me? I would not be averse to such a thing.
