The self vote thing only just occurred to me. If I had have made that connection earlier I might have felt differently. I'd still be surprised if he's scum but the fact that I now don't think he was intentionally getting votes makes it a far more likely proposition in mymind.

Well shit. Here reading and I still missed it.

MM I don't have mafia teammates because I'm not mafia so that is an impossible request.

Was there a confirmed baddie? I'm not that far along yet if so.

by Turnip Head
As the sound of the bells rang out signaling the start of the tournament, Turnip Head had a sudden realization and turned to S~V~S with a horrified expression on his face.

“What is it?” S~V~S asked him. “You look like you just binge watched 8 episodes of Making a Murderer.”

“Well, they’re gonna be at this a long time right? Like a month, maybe longer?”

“Probably.”

“So they’re gonna be running around slaughtering each other nonstop for days on end?”

“It stands to reason.”

Turnip’s expression turned even more grave. “Well, we forgot to give them something to eat.”

S~V~S gasped. “Scandalous!”

Down in the arena, the combatants were coming to the same realization themselves. Amidst the panic, one voice stood above the rest.

“Brothers, sisters, civilians and mafia alike! I am Ricochet of Nauru, and I beg you to eat me.”

The others were confused, and tried to figure out whether he was being serious or nonsensical.

Turnip Head heard this through the monitors in the observation room, and rushed toward the arena. “We can’t allow this! What have we done? We must save him!”

S~V~S tried to stop him, “Let nature take its course, you are overthinking it.” But he was already out the door.

Fourteen combatants circled around RIcochet, readying their weapons to turn against him. “Don’t save me, this was my destiny all along.
Omelette au cannibalism."

Turnip Head entered the scene, only to find that he was too late. The others had already torn into Ricochet like a bag of beef jerky.

“It is accomplished,” Riochet said with his last breaths. “I am dead. Confirmed.”

Turnip lowered his head in sorrow. “Yes, yes you are.”

Spoiler: show
Ricochet has been lynched. He was Jacob Donner, a civilian.

If Jacob Donner is lynched on Day 1, he will die, revealing his full role. If this occurs, Donner may continue to post on-topic as if he were alive, but he cannot vote and cannot be targeted by any abilities or items.

It is now Night 1. You have 23 hours to send your PM's and vote in the night poll.

Metalmarsh here is the question I asked you. Note that I am not asking the same questions you already answered. I'm wanting to know what was in your head when you picked the word "which" when you framed the question.
juliets wrote:MM, your question to him was "which team do you think he is on?". That sounds like you not only know there are two teams (i know you responded to this already) but that you knew what the team names were. What made you use the word "which"? And what did you expect in return from JJJ that would be an example of "which"? I hope you understand what I am asking. If not, let me know.

A bad guy lynch would have been better, but yeah this is nice for a town lynch. I actually didn't read the fine print and see his role description until now. :p

I didn't expect you to come back civ, rico, (I was fairly hooked on the idea you were an indy) but...
Golden wrote:Oh, and also, if it is a role like your one in World Reborn than I don't really have any fear playing in to it. If Rico was that kind of Indy, I could trust in him to have no loyalties whatsoever and do whatever was best for him, which isn't necessarily anti-town. Indeed, if Rico is actually civ and the goal is for him to gain power through lynch votes I also don't have any problem with it. The only think I'm worried about with lynching Rico would be if he was mafia-aligned but his role got power from lynch votes and he could survive the lynch. Then it would suck.
This is a large part of why I had no intention of ever changing my vote. Sometimes if people want to be lynched, its best to give them what they want. We shy away from lynching that person too often, I think. I was heavily influenced by my own game in Star Wars and in Talking Heads, in both cases I wanted to be lynched. I've never sought to be lynched as a baddie.

Choose your favourite

Brown Spider Monkey
Cattle
Plains Zebra
Yellow-bellied Marmot
Polar Bear

This poll makes me feel as though the Trickster role from World Reborn is here, or something like it.

No offence to zebra or marmot, but I'm taking a neutral option, and going for the LOST reference (after all, I am hosting that other game).
