"I am least inclined to put town reads on right now"? What. Even saying "I'm leaning slightly baddie" or "these guys are in the yellow part of the rainbow" would be more committal than "least inclined to put town reads on." Wishy-washy weirding wording to the max. Unacceptable.Sloonei wrote:TheCapsFan and Sorsha
Of the candidates with lots of votes, they are the ones I am least inclined to put town reads on right now. TheCapsFan has seemed shaky and non-committal at times. I've not said much about him because I was trying to get more answers out of him before throwing an accusation his way, but that's out the window now.
Sorsha because I've spent the day waiting for her to explain a thing or two, but that never happened.
I don't see any conclusion you could logically conclude from that. Though, your implication is clear.Glorfindel wrote:But that's the thing you see, my friend - I'm not. So what other conclusion can I logically draw from thisDom wrote:Really? Is it because you are, a baiddie!?

Hollow accusation with zero meaning in it. What's the point here, nutella?nutella wrote:Last I checked you didn't much explain your votes eitherMacDougall wrote:Why?Turnip Head wrote:I went with Mac and Bass.
That's fine, DF - you're forgivenDFaraday wrote:I reviewed TheCapsFan, and while he hasn't contributed much, hasn't said anything suspicious in my eyes, so I stuck with Lorab and Glorfindel (which I feel a little bad about since he suggested that he thinks I'm civ).
Sorry, what? I am pointing out that Mac's questioning of TH is sort of hypocritical seeing as he also didn't explain his votes, and I'd like him to do so. It is neither a "hollow accusation" nor does it have "zero meaning." I continue to feel as though you are making up bullshit reactions to perfectly reasonable posts because you have decided I'm bad and need to bend everything I say to support that.Dom wrote:Hollow accusation with zero meaning in it. Uhhhh, one problem....I never said this. How does a guy get 2 separate votes from people who believe he wants to be voted, "according to" other people? That sounds eerily like a Trumpism - "You know, this Russ guy, I'm not saying he wants to be voted, but a lot of people seem to be going around saying how much Russ would like to be voted, and when a lot of people say it, there's a tremendous amount of truth there. You didn't hear from me that Russ wants to be voted, but boy are there sure a lot of people saying that."Elohcin wrote:goodness, this page is being nutso. Oops, sorry, Russ - I was really going by offhand comments I think I thought I saw in the pages I read. But hey, I did say I wouldn't mind a duel myself! Makes things interesting, and gets a low poster up there.Russtifinko wrote:nijuukyugou wrote:The other will be for Russ, because according to the few people posting, the dude wants to be voted. One problem - I absolutely didn't say that, and neither of you quoted a post that anyone else had said it either.
I'd vote Elo and Ninja Blooper if I weren't self-preserving, and I probably will tomorrow.

What's the point? What significance does your statement hold? Explain. This would fail a high school Egnlsish class! I would know-- I have THE BEST WORDS!
From knowing Sloonei quite a long time I can tell you that his wording doesn't feel unnatural to me.nijuukyugou wrote:Elohcin wrote:

Too true. Especially true, being that the pages for me are loading at a snail's pace. ARGHHHH EVERY PAGE, EVERY CLICK IS LIKE MOLASSES

Well, I managed the last four pages. Well, three, I guess, since this isn't a full page, but that's better than I have been doing all game. And you know what? I got out of it about as much as I thought I would for reading randomly in the middle of the game - people all over the place, not much consensus. So here's where I'll vote.
One vote will be for Sloonei, for semantics. The other day, I managed to catch this post at the top of one of the pages I glanced at and its wording pinged me:"I am least inclined to put town reads on right now"? What. Even saying "I'm leaning slightly baddie" or "these guys are in the yellow part of the rainbow" would be more committal than "least inclined to put town reads on." Sorsha because I've spent the day waiting for her to explain a thing or two, but that never happened.
(and oh my god even getting an ISO and getting to the page with that post to quote it is friggin' torture, so no more ISOs/quoting today)

Please, tell me, my friend - given the FACT that MP qualifies as a suitably qualified player to be part of a Mafia team, given the FACT that his participation this game could generously be described as sporadic, given the FACT that approximately 40% of eligible players did not vote last Day phase and some appear to have disappeared off the planet altogether - would you say that the likelihood of an absent Mafia team (at least on Night 1) might be MORE likely?LoRab wrote:Possible, yes. Probable, no? I mean, really, you've played many games. You've played many large games. Have you ever, in your entire mafia history, seen that happen?nutella wrote:Also, lack of precedence does not mean lack of probability. There's probably a fancy logical fallacy term for that but idgaf. Just because you've never seen an inactive mafia team before doesn't mean it couldn't happen, especially considering the Yellow Turban team only consists of three players, and this game has WAY more than three inactive players. They only killed once, and it was on SVS, an inactive player -- perhaps if nobody in the team had been paying attention they wouldn't know SVS hadn't been participating and just picked her to get rid of. Idk, I just think Glorfindel's lines of thinking are not entirely unreasonable
In the past 8 years, I can't even count how many games I've played. Several dozen. I can't be far off from 100 games, but I don't keep track any more. My point is that I have never seen that happen. Ever. And I've been in really big games. And I've seen proportionally small mafias. I have never seen an entire no show team. So, no, it doesn't seem like the more likely or evvey very likely possibility.
Please do look at me. I may be wrong on glorf. But my opinion still stands. I will also admit that this past week was a really stressful week at work and I had a lot going on and wasn't feeling great. Especially the end of the week, and Sunday was a major deadline for me for a lot of things. My stress probably came through in my posts.Golden wrote:Good work on lynching the suicidal moron.
I think the Nanmans are full of people who aren't posting very much, hence the high profile targets.
@LoRab - I need to take a good look at you today. For most of the game, I've felt you are engaged town and I've been sort of thinking 'its great that LoRab clearly has plenty of time to play'. It's just that yesterday really bothered me. I think you really are wrong on Glorfindel.
Interesting. Thank you for answering that for me Golden. And no. The relevant Yellow Turban role thingy says specifically that they have a NK each night. The fact that when they use it, they kill inactives like S-V-S and Soneji seems strange (to me at least...)Golden wrote:@Glorfindel... I don't think so.
MP would never miss PMs, so I'd say that MP being in that team means your theory is more likely to be incorrect no matter how sporadic his thread contributions might appear. But - question... is it possible they only get one kill every two nights?
Nice catch.Sorsha wrote:I'd like to say I find it notable that MovingPictures and TheCapsFan both voted for each other to be prefects. (and they both also voted for jjj)
I'll likely be voting for CapsFan today since I think he voted for one of his teammates in the prefect poll.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw that CapsFan and MP both voted jjj for prefect. What is there to pursue though? He's already dead...Quin wrote:Reading back, I notice that 3J pretty vehemently opposed my case against MP. He even declared MP one of his top town reads at one point.

I'm town. How could I have known that MP was bad? I voted for two people that I've played with before, once. Scenario: We've lynched all but one of a team's baddie, (let's use yellow turbans because that probably resonates most with MP's flip). We spend a number of phases linking interactions between members of the yellow turbans to scumhunt without realising that the nanmans killed the last member three nights ago.Sorsha wrote:I was thinking the same thing when I saw that CapsFan and MP both voted jjj for prefect. Oh, okay.. I thought we would be told when one team was eliminated so I was just thinking of seeing how Caps flips so I didn't think we would still be trying to hunt Yellow Turbans after being told they were all dead.Quin wrote:Scenario: We've lynched all but one of a team's baddie, (let's use yellow turbans because that probably resonates most with MP's flip). Plainly, it's of benefit to us to have an idea of the identity of any baddies that have been killed by the other team so we can avoid wasting lynches on an already dead baddie team. Of course, we shouldn't operate under the assumption that this is the case, but ..yeah.
Oh right, of course, my bad.TheCapsFan wrote:Apologies once again for the second bout of inactivity. Just climbed my way out of the Tartarus that is summer assignments. Senior year. Four AP classes. Lots of work. Yada yada yada.
