So before I go into precisely why I am so certain that this player is bad, I just have to congratulate her for playing me PERFECTLY, and so casually, too! I had her on my trust list early because I know I'm always wrong when I suspect her, and she just kept feeding that and buddying up to me and (almost) completely snowed me. Way to go, Ninjabumblebee!

You very nearly played perfectly into my horrible inability to really suspect anyone who is super nice to me.
Anywho, here's the deal with Ninja, as I see it.
I could post a million lines about how each one of her 22 posts is blendy, hedging, and quintessentially non-boat-rocking.
I could point out how she never fails to include in her post a caveat about how she had more to say, but forgot, or how she'll be back later and go into more detail, or how she's thinking some nebulous thing, but wants to read more/think more (but then never posts any detailed results of her thinking). There are a few examples in the posts quoted below. There are many more.
I could talk about her constant apologizing for not being very thorough, and her non-existent attempts to contribute more, even a little.
I could talk about how she's super pressed for time in posting substance, but has made sure to contribute to every. single. contest. (Baddies LOVE to win prizes in contests, and often encourage all team members to participate).
But instead I'm going to focus on the two things that stand out most to me, and that are most connected to known baddies: her vote/rationale on Day 1, and her vote/rationale for Bass last lynch.
Here is her Day 1 post when she's deciding who to vote for:
nijuukyugou wrote:We really do talk about the same things every Day 1, don't we? Never really noticed until now. And now I'm noticing patterns more as I read. Anyway.
Today was a surprisingly busy day for my supposedly having an impromptu vacation. Some thoughts after catching up:
1) There always seems to be some sort of "battle" between two higher posters in the first day or so, and it looks like it's Golden vs. Aces. I'm inclined to see it as Civ vs. Civ, since I haven't had a really big ping from either one. I found Golden's pointing out of a "bandwagony" sort of voting pattern for the Day 0 poll as something interesting to point out. Dunno if it has much merit, but it could be something to look back on.
2) MM's self-vote pings me something awful, definitely more than anything else I've seen. As others have pointed out, he has done this in multiple games, and in most if not all of the games I've recently played with him. It may have been a joke the second or third time, but geez, you have plenty of time and a good amount of posts to at least make some sort of accusation or voice a suspicion. It is detrimental to the cause if you are a Civ (since you're taking out your own numbers) and weirdly drawing attention if you are bad. I have ignored it in the past, but I don't like it at all and am inclined to vote his way today.

If you post in dead red while not dead, you become dead. Bye, rabbit! It was nice playing with you!
llama's being llama and I'm fucking dying
I feel like I had a 4 and 5 but I got distracted by real life things and stuff. Dammit. I'll check back in before I go to triiiiiiiiivia

This is still fairly early in the day. Ninja's is the # vote cast. She tosses out the civ v. civ defense for Aces/Golden, trying to slow down the momentum that was building behind crusading Golden. Then, she latches hard onto the MM thing, saying it "pings her something awful, definitely more than anything else I've seen"....but then seems to suggest that she's voting this way on principle ("I have ignored it in the past, but I don't like it at all and am inclined to vote his way today"), not because of the super suspicious "ping" that she claimed to have. This seems to me like an over eagerness to make sure her vote is "justified" and unassailable if MM is lynched as civ. When baddies are voting to save teammates, they often over do it on the justifications since they know their votes are likely to come under scrutiny when a civ is lynched. Especially in light of the much less emphatic rationale for ninja's other votes this game, this stands out to me like a big red beacon.
Her strong language around her "ping" of MM also helps to subtly encourage more people to go ahead and vote MM, since it's much easier to fee confident in a suspicion if you see other people sharing it. Some fanning of the MM flames at play here, too.
(Also please note the similar defense of Aces/Golden by our good friend Bass:)
Bass_the_Clever wrote:as for golden vs. aces. I really don't know these players styles so its hard for me to judge, but a lot of times when I see stuff like this on day one its civ vs civ so I going to sit back for now and see if anything jumps out at me.
Here is her actual vote post:
nijuukyugou wrote:I've gotta head to trivia in a few minutes, so I'll vote before I go. I'm going for MM - my gut says yes, his self-vote says yes, and his nonchalant attitude towards his gathering votes says yes. I disagree that voting based on behavior should be discouraged - plenty of people get caught based on behavior, and it's much better than randomizing.
Holy good God I gotta go. I was trying not to do this in a rush but lost track of time talking to the mother

Nothing much there. Reiterates the dual "gut" suspicion and "principle" tactic, zooms out of the thread.
Here she defends her MM vote:
nijuukyugou wrote:Elohcin wrote:Also...what about MM? I know that he is looked at as civ now because of the Day 1 Aces lynch, but does this really clear him?
Interesting that you say this - I was going to respond to BF's comment about my "pushing" an MM lynch with this sentiment as if MM were confirmed Civ, when all the lynch did was prove to be confusing as hell (and advantageous, but still confusing). It proved nothing of MM's alignment as far as I can see, and talk of him has just dropped off, which makes me wary.
I'm pretty sure that having 3 baddies vote for someone pretty much confirms them as civ.

Of course, this information wasn't available to everyone at this point.....but Ninja knew. And her attempt to deflect attention from the MM voters is very clever.
She then votes for MM again, with LITERALLY no reason. In her previous post, all she said was he wasn't "confirmed civ", and that other people's waning suspicion made her "wary".
nijuukyugou wrote:I think I'm gonna go ahead and vote for MM, because I've spend far too much time mafia'ing this evening and I need a bit of a break (though I'll probably be back once I finish this delicious, delicious wine). I'm glad Eloh brought up my sentiments, because I feel most comfortable there today, and BR's suggestion that he could be the Judge in light of Sophie's comment makes me a bit more confident. But mostly, I'm going off of what I felt before, which hasn't changed much since the last lynch.
@Bass, I
was good in Clue! I was just a badass at the posting game

(Also note the nice distancing tactic with Bass, which also conveniently reminds people of her playstyle when she was good, suggesting that she's playing the same this game, Thanks for the opportunity to let her say that, Bass! How kind of you!
Her posts around Bass' lynch are even more telling.
nijuukyugou wrote:Apologies for general quietness this week, and for not returning last night when I said I would. I did start the new job today
(which by the way is a DREAM COME TRUE so far
but I gotta be on my A game for it, so I will either be just as quiet or slightly less active this week than usual. I will do my best not to be inactive). In my post during the last lynch before voting, I was in the middle of saying I didn't suspect Canuck because her demeanor is not out of the ordinary from what I've played with her (and I think I've only played with her once as a baddie, when she winned Mizfits :P ). She was very wishy-washy when bad, but as others have said, she's been doing a lot more participatory baddie hunting in this latter part of the game, which further makes me think she's good.
As for Bass, I also didn't understand his vote for splints when it happened, but the votes were so spread out and people had such similar reasoning that it didn't stick out too much in the last lynch. This posting with LC, however...Ummm kinda can't ignore that, I don't think :P And he's being realllll quiet after that. Both are, I suppose.
I'm gonna go plan some lessons first before I explode into a ball of anxiety and then I'll be back to check on the conversation/for the vote, but it looks pretty damning without explanation.
This game is freaking awesome.
This was AFTER the slip (or "slip").......and while she admits that she "kinda can't ignore that", she still doesn't vote. WTF was she waiting for, if not for the team to scramble and try to find some way to save face. She says it "looks pretty damning without explanation".....as if there would be some sort of explanation that could save that? This reluctance to vote Bass right away is pretty telling. At this point, I think only Sophie and I had voted (but that could be wrong, I don't have the poll in front of me), so it wasn't a completely done deal....so Ninja, being a conscientious and optimistic teammate, decides to wait and see if the train wreck can be salvaged before eventually voting. This is her vote post, much later:
nijuukyugou wrote:Welp, this is an obvious choice, omitting any lynch shenanigans. Bass looks about as bad as a monkey in lava.
...Good god I need to eat

Hurry up, Jimmy John's!
Linki @ rabbit - That would be rather sacrilegious, don't you think? :P
So now it's an "obvious choice"? What the heck changed? What made it more obvious than it was previously, when she declined to vote? Nothing, other than the fact that his lynch had become inevitable so his teamies had no choice but to vote. This is super, duper sketch.
Ninja is bad, you guys. Bad bad baddie bad bad. Read her posts. There's only 22 of them. 5 (!) from Day 0, and a few that are only OT or contest related, so it won't take you long.

Pay special attention to her connections to Bass.
