Ok, so second, I must preface that Kyle has already shared that he's disengaged, and has offered to try harder. The guy was throwing up most of the first few days, was divided in other games, became a fisherman, and then was behind 60 pages. I can understand that. I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt, though frustratedly. But from my perspective, and this is the tough love- it's just not all there on the surface. But I feel like he knows more than he lets on.

It's very likely that by playing dumb (I'm not calling you dumb- Want to be clear that I think you're playing dumb) he can easily skate by on his ignorance. Like a good corporate exec can talk their way out of embezzling $12 billion by saying 'I do not recall,' kyle has an out that basically says, 'i wasn't really engaged nor did I read that thing you're talking about.'

In this way, a bad kyle won't get caught because there's nothing to catch him for.

If he was the only Evil Even on Bidoof 1.0 (and that's a BIG if), then the first 3 kills are easily explainable for even a hapless bystander. All it takes is a few rainbow lists or brief perusal of the most talkative players and he can identify who looks the towniest- me on N2, sprityo on N8. Maybe he didn't submit a kill on N10? Who knows.

So like. How long do we wait for Kyle to find his voice? He said he felt like a passenger, and in many ways he has been. I can see him as a perfunctory Even that has been pleading dumb in order to never implicate himself or appear too boisterous.

Something that has crossed my mind, because I really don't scum read anyone from Pikachu 2.0 at this point: what if Marmot unleashed his blizzard on a night his team was scheduled to kill? A team of Marmot and wilgy is more prone to do something counter-intuitive like that than most, I think. The idea of lynching Scotty makes me shake my head, and I'm not particularly crazy about lynching Kyle either. If Epi or daisy is bad I'll eat a shoe.

How confident are we all that one of these players has to be an Even? And if we ignored that theory, who would be the top suspect in the game?

There would be zero benefit in being wacky when no one will know about it. Marmot would be very unlikely to waste a one shot power in that way, having been bad with him in a situation where he hoarded his resources.

I certainly don't want to ignore it (I think I'm the one who first brought it up at all), but I don't know that it should be treated as a certainty. The benefit of doing it would be the confusion it's causing us all right now. I've never been bad with marmot before and can't say that I'm confident he would do something like that just for the wifom/lols of it, but I'm struggling to rule it out for the simple reason that I have a hard time reading any of the suspects this theory points to as bad.

Oy! Totally missed the lynch. Sorry all. Crazy busy all day yesterday getting ready for the holiday (and then at the seder, the holiday meal with lots and lots of ritual and story telling attached). Despite exhaustion and 4 too many glasses of wine, I tried catching up last night, and fell asleep reading the thread. Then today was a lot of cleaning up, running around, and getting back to my congregation for a second seder dinner for the community. That part of the holiday is over. Now it's just really weird eating for a week. But my schedule normalizes, so there's that. I should be able to actually focus now.
