When I think Holy Grail, I remember this hideous drink called the Holy Grail at this hideous club called Players in my college town. It tasted like poisoned lemonade and you'd find yourself waking up in the taxicab or passed out on your friend's kitchen floor if you chose to partake.

Anyway, Lord, I don't have a picture of it, but I do have a delightfully sacrilegious song if You've got a sense of humor (which, oh Lord, You must because Your creations are oh so ridiculous):

And I'm going with churches, because that answer always make me laugh the hardest (a close second is "very small rocks").

Dear Merciful GOD:

I present you with my Grail Tribute. You need something to drink many drinks from. And while this is merely a cup, it is also Grail shaped.

And it has the added bonus of being, if you so desired, the cup you would drink from in my home.

I wanted a picture of *my* grail shaped cup, but I had to settle on a picture of a grail shaped cup.

New notebook, can't work anything tech right even apparently e-mail. :( I'm turning into a fossil.

@ hedgey - I could, based soley on the source material, my knowedge of potential mafia roles, and the fact that matty was Concorde make a secondary guess as to why the lynch went his way, but I fear the stepping over the bounds of allowable speculation to lay it all out. At this moment switch feels most likely and I'd rather wait and see if we get a role update for Matty like we did with Dfaraday and MP before speculating further.
If Reywas does not win, God is a very silly person.

And I think it's funny that the only thing actually on the poll that might float, bread, has no votes.

This counts on you having a sense of humor. So it depends on if it is your Old Testament self or New Testament self.

And I forgot to vote in the poll too. I think cherries are the best bet for floating, with bread a close second if you toss it in in little pieces. At least, that's what I remember from feeding ducks when I was younger. But I'm going to go with cherries just to be safe. And in case both of the hosts don't allow for creative interpretation.
i did not know cherries float~ I just took some out of my fridge after reading this, and lo and behold they DO float. Knock me over with a feather.

Ture. The local city party always had bobbing for apples as a way to get kids to eat more fruit during Halloween season. I was really good at it but my dad would get mad because it would mess up my (Halloween) makeup. He trained as a monster movie makeup maven, so it was always exquisite.

Yeah, they did not do that at NY parties. 98.3% of the girls I knew would have cut their toes off before they would have put their Halloween makeup face in a vat of water to get a piece of fruit that probably (according to our Moms at least) had a razor blade in it.

I have actually gone bobbing for apples lots of times. I grew up in that idealogical midwest town that does that crap.

"very tiny rocks" is more in the theme of the game and also very funny.

I'm sad that someone who wants to fill the thread with Python references - gets sad because we pick the funnier ones of that bit. :sigh:

b) fuck. man. SVS is way better at tech than I am - if she fucks up a post is because phones and waiting on the bus suck ass.

She dares to post when I can't be assed to do anything but follow along.

I don't mean to confuse. I was just saying that drfunk me tends to be more conscious of spelling errors than sober me. Though both of us try to find and fix them.

And aslo svs takes the risks of posting from her phone when she's on the bus. I tend to lurk when I'm in her position. I admire her because she takes that risk of getting her raw thought out there in the open.

I had actually typed a response on my phone that was basically "That's interesting, if anyone could show me an example because I can't really read back right now", but it got linkitis'ed without me realizing it. It wouldn't have mattered because I didn't really get to check in until I just caught up now.

RIP A Person. I've seen plenty of Civvie roles that can switch a lynch, and probably ones that can reflect a lynch once or something, so I don't find the situation to be instantly incriminating to Made. However, the way he has been acting since then is a bit sketchy, as several people have pointed out. I'm gonna have to say that Made will likely get my vote. It doesn't look like he'll need it to get lynched anyway, but there you go.

We haven't gotten Concorde's role revealed yet. :|

Haha, ture. If I drank 1/20 of that, I'd have to have my stomach pumped. But would sing "We Didn't Start the Fire" first.

Does that make more sense?

linkie - by any chance do you weigh as much as duck?
Yes it makes no sense.

And I choose not to answer that question. I don't wanna get lynched (or burned).

I tried to allude to that earlier - that given the game source - I can see ONE scenario where a switch wasn't what went down.

I'm wondering if we won't see Concorde's role revealed for that very reason.

I still wait to see if I could be wrong about that.

I still don't trust Enrique and Made as far as I can throw either of them. I didn't see what the lynch votes ended like so I'm not sure how close it was and who voted where. Hopefully we can get one of them out tomorrow Civs :)

Yup - bea is drunk and prolly maybe way more sketched out by this than I should be but:

a) why don't you trust enrique and made again? because I've not really heard a lot of your opinions. I've heard a lot of you talking about why you can't be involved in the game. If I've missed where you have come out against either of them, please - point me to the posts. I don't want to accuse someone of not doing something they did.

b) part of the "randomness" you missed was a civ being lynched. That's a big thing to gloss over don't you think?

c) I am awesome and my drfunkenness reigns supreme - but it SHOULDN'T at all - distract from actully you know - catching up on the thread. I know that my new drunkeness is *pages* new from when you were last here. If you comment on this new thing - what is your opnion of what's past? You read it right?

Enrique has been acting way too defensive for me and I haven't liked his behavior all game. Plain and simple which is why I voted him.

I think me being busy and not good at large games should say much as I've said when I tried Hobbit as well as Misfits. I do better when the crowd dies down, especially how crazy this game has been after 2 days with posts galore and off topic random pages, where I don't have time to catch up 3 pages every few hours I miss . Sorry.

I know people really hate when others are all "I don't know" and stuff like that, but I really honestly don't know. I haven't been saying much at all because I am so very confused by this entire game. I am an extremely easily confused person in general, Made and Enrique know this very well. Not knowing any of the roles makes this very difficult, and it all seems like empty speculation to me. All we have to go on is that someone could be either good or bad and the lack of information is really messing with my mind.

There's also the fact that this thread is basically a printing press, so I may have missed some important points while constantly catching up. I really didn't catch the suspicion on Juliets and Hedge. Maybe it went over my head but nothing really stood out to me. Enrique also seems different than his normal self but I believe that's just how he plays Mafia since this is the first game I've played with him. Made is acting crazy as usual, but I also feel like it could be a cover since he acted this insane in Misfits too and turned out to be good, so he might be purposely acting the same so that we'd compare it to that game and not suspect him as much. Or maybe not since if that's his plan it's not working at all because it's just bringing more suspicion onto him.

dana - are you familiar with the source material? as in -have you watched "monty python and the holy grail?"

I can understand your confusion - but I would also encourage you to talk more rather than stay quiet in your confusion.

Forget Made and Enrique - even though both of them want you on their side for credentials.

What have you been confused about and how can we help you with your confusion? I want to see active players.

I hate that someone might be quiet because they don't understand something.

Speak your mind at all times. I can't say I'll have an answer, but someone might have a theory and being involved is better than not being involved.

I get doing better at small games - for EVER I heard from others "you're a great speed game player and not a good big game player."

So enrique is over defensive and that's why you voted him. OK - why is Made your other suspect then as well?

I still need to think about boogs. But I wanted his response to be open and out there - especially as I didn't see it as plain as he inteded it when he posted it in the threadl.

I just mean that everyone associates you with Made and Enrique Suave. And I don't want you for one second to think that your only contibution to the game is how you see them, because the closer you are to someone the harder it is to mafia with them IMO.

I'm much more interested in what you might see from the other parts of the game - from how you read everyone else. Even me. Because new eyes are always welcome and always appriciated.

I agree that's it's much harder to Mafia with people you already know, but it also is very hard to Mafia with complete strangers too. Since they're the people I know best, I will admit that I've been paying more attention to their posts, especially when I have to read 5 or 6 pages to catch up. I'm not too sure how I feel about everyone else, maybe I'll make one of those list things if I have a few free hours tomorrow. You seem very sincere to me, and I trust you quite a bit at the moment, but I don't know if I can even trust myself because the end of Misfits made me lose my mind. Maybe my best bet would be to figure out who I trust and who I don't and then know that the people I trust are actually bad and the people I don't are good.

LOL. Misfits was that bad was it? I quit following before the end of day 1.

It is difficult to mafia with strangers, but I remain firm in my opinion that you may see something we don't see in each other. Everyone's quick to forgive my drfunkenness. And llama's lammaness. And epi's need to teach everyone a lesson and svs's defensiveness. New eyes give us fresh perpsective. it helps us vets see past what we always see in every game.

Don't be afraid to voice your thoughts on anything for fear of being wrong. Civs are wrong all the time. Even the most veterian of us.

I think your listy thing is a good idea - even if you don't post it to the thread, it'll help you wrap your own thoughts around your own ideas :)
