What theory? That LC is bad?
Yeah.

I still think he's bad. How does this disprove it?

A mafia member that gets penalized for voting for civilians?

Yeah that would be an awesome mafia role and a pretty bad civ one.

I think that role is worse on a civ than a baddie.

I disagree. Nub DH.
I don't think the roles indicate affiliation directly.
That proves nothing except Golden is very evil. We already knew that.
So your game plan for tomorrow, let me guess, Lynch Dom?

What utility would LC's role serve on a mafia team?

Massive vote manipulation. He votes for his own teammates, never trying hard to build cases, and gets extra votes. Or he does the opposite and is able to save teammates with negative votes.
In the hands of a smart baddie team, the possibilities with that role are endless.

That is a shitty civilian role if it's a civilian role. It almost guarantees that you would be screwing the pooch unless you played perfectly.
The role makes more sense if you know who the mafia are, in which case, it becomes a risk-reward role. If you voted for your teammates, you grow in strength, but, you know, you voted for your teammates, which could make it a short-term gain, long-term loss.
I recommend lynching Long Con a second time.

And, just to be clear, regardless of the alignment, I'm glad that role is gone.

Today I learned a valuable Mafia lesson; your role doesn't make your affiliation, your gameplay does.

I mean fuck it he could be bad and that whole explanation was total garbage IMO so maybe it is a mafia role.

LC voted for Quin, Chuck and DDL.
This explains the nutella lynch
As well as... townfirming Quin and I?
Why would you think this? It's possible but nothing is proven.
It's probable.
For the Nutella lynch to even be close to overtaking the DDL lynch, lots of negative votes would have to be on DDL or lots of positives on nutella. Furthermore, confusing roles like LC's role are more likely to be overlooked in a complicated game like this (Sorry Mods, all the respect for your game).
There could be other vote manipulators, but this is pretty perfect.

Agreed, probable. But confirmed equals "fact" and there are no facts so far in this game so far as affilation goes. And people proclaiming themselves confirmed when they aren't gets my Spidey senses spideying.
But yeah probable works.

Psh, I make assumptions all of the time. It's how I POE. Doesn't seem to be harmful unless I refuse to reevaluate them.
Quin will be treated like a townfirm by me until I find reason not to.

I believe so. And I feel Quin is probable. Not just for the LC votes. Chuck waffles me, I didn't like his reaction to the whole LC situation, but I don't like alot of things, doesn't mean I'm right. LC was on my civvie list, so I am spending time reanalyzing my reads.
speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:57 pm
Oh somebody already said that I'll shut up now K.
DDL is probably bad with LC and LC saved him.
Easiest game ever tbqh.
Isn't it. Silly Golden, giving away his teammate like this, in a faction that probably only has 2 people, knowing his role would reveal everything when it flipped.
