Tutuu is my top town at this point. I don't think she would be capable of fooling this entire playerlist for so long in a game where she randed mafia for the first time since ancient periods.

Catchup. These thoughts are roughly ordered.

Hally is ?probably? town. Liking the concern about getting their read right, I think it’s slightly unlikely to come from mafia. That said, since it came from Hally, I’m less inclined to treat it as clearing.

Michelle still OMGUSing people.

TSP’s initial catchup feels strange. It is mostly commentary, rather than alignment reads or anything else I would perceive as towny. I don’t like the way he throws out his reads, either. It feels like he is doing it for the sake of having reads, instead of because he believes in them.

Dislike the hedge in #1498, it feels like mafia trying to keep their options open.

I think ted has become more towny in the meantime. I specifically like the way he is handling TSP. It feels like his progression is flowing naturally and there isn’t anything artificial about it. #1536 #1537 #1538 #1539. He also offers a good explanation of his read in response to Hally later on. #1579 is also an excellent post.

Yeah, at this point I’m comfortable with putting ted in my towncore.

Not sure what to think about 112 randomly popping in, post #1560. Ash did a similar thing earlier with the “Oh dear.” Probably doesn’t mean much.

#1596 and #1597 are points from Ash I actually agree with to a large extent. It makes me feel better about Ash if TSP is mafia. #1610 is good as well, I enjoy the snark behind it.

Wilgo should also be hard null by rights. If we have a vigi, shooting there is probably our best bet alongside TripleHaven. My gut is telling me that both are town slankers, but we don’t need those in a LyLo situation later, do we? If I’m a vig, I’ll make one of these two shots myself.

I like the fact that Hally calls Ash a townie in #1648, which is around the same time I reached a similar conclusion on him upon re-reading. That’s yet another slight mindmeld I’ve had with them.

#1691 remind me to look at NANOOK, because I think this justification for his townread on dunya is slightly forced. He has been more leaderly this game than I have seen him as town before, and it’s making me slightly paranoid about him potentially driving town off a cliff.

I’m starting to feel better about 112, because she feels genuinely tunneled as opposed to pushing mafia agenda. I’m going to swap my vote soon. Might come back to her on day 2. I would like to see her focus broaden, though. Right now she’s tunneled on me / Arete, and that’s not a good thing in a vacuum.

Hally is still being extremely inquisitive and leaderly even if they don’t seem to want leadership. I have seen concern about getting reads wrong, concern about people disagreeing with them (but not in a way that read as scummy to me), moving reads around and re-evaluating. I have also liked the way they have interrogated TSP so far, and their reactions to TSP’s responses. It all read as very natural to me; no progression issues at all, no stilted tone or rigid attitude, nothing. 99% of the time, I would call a player like that “just town,” but apparently I’m still paranoid. Still, never killing Hally today, and I am maintaining my positioning of Hally on my readlist (quite high on the town ranking). I’m not going to let tinfoil guide me here.

I still think Long Con is town, now even more than before. He sounds like he believes in his takes, and I enjoyed his slight annoyance in posts like #1788 and #1810. I don’t think he’s faking that. I think it’s a playstyle thing for him to point out small things he finds scummy.

#1802 is true. More truth from Hally. I’m not sure what to think about NANOOK apparently claiming otherwise.

I absolutely despite the Wilgy wagon. We are not killing the equivalent of a 0 poster today. We leave those to town KP, which probably exists in the setup.
I don't think there's a townier/scummier between Wilgy and TH. Gun to head TH is the mafia there, but I honestly think they are roughly equal and equally useless to wagon.

Forgot to mention in my takeaways that I think ted is very town.

Hally has almost four hundred posts and at least half of them are somewhere between pretty townie and very townie

Mostly because of past experiences on my homesite. In closed setups of this size, there's usually at least 1 town KP role. Typically something similar in power to a 1-shot vig.

Michelle's posts aren't GOOD, but I have a negative gut feeling about her. As in, she might be a misyeet if we wagon her.
This stubbornness and insistence upon playing in a way that gets her widely scumread and considered for the yeet just reads to me as inherently stubborn town who wants to play the way they want without regard for others or for the game they are currently in.

I think Michelle is the type to at least care a bit about her wolf team and would feel bad attempting this play style, it's why I think she's villager-y.

It makes more sense to tank your villa meta first and play nonsensically rather than starting to change it as a wolf first because you're likely to get yeeted if you're a wolf trying this out because you aren't playing according to meta.

shouldn't really be a hard thought process, if she's a wolf then whatever, she dies anyway, colour her in as a villager and if we don't find wolves then settle for a yeet on her later on in the game

The thing is, she's the one making it happen. I can't confidently townread someone who doesn't analyse anyone, whose reads are mostly veiled OMGUS, and who hasn't contributed in a memorable way. She isn't actively scummy to me, but she's not doing herself any favors by posting in an underwhelming way like this, and I'm pretty certain she knows this. The fact she knows this is the reason I townread this, but I feel somewhat guilty about townreading this type of play.
