A scum Epignosis might want people to believe that there is something to be gleaned from the exercise when there isn't. Or try to mislead somehow from that information. But I'm not really sure if Epignosis is scum. As for the second part, I have answered this, I said I would pick people at random because I don't know anybody here.

A) if I'm making myself a scum target it means I've done something that threatens them, which is good
B) making myself an obvious target also means there's a good chance a town protective or RT role is on me, which is good (although I don't remember if there's an RT in the setup offhand)
