Meh. So Dex's defense in the last lynch came after I had already voted. If it had come before I voted he may have changed my mnd. What I mean to say is, I felt like he was sincere. It would seem he does not have a role that is unlynchable since Alex already said that the unlynchable roles will simply result in no lynch, but in Dex's case Bea was lynched instead. So it had to have been vote manipulation. So it does not clearly tell us anything about his alignment. I don't understand the votes being cast on him now on the basis of "testing" or the idea he might be unlynchable. Unless I am misunderstanding the reasoning being stated, which I am sure is possible. I voted him before on the basis that I felt like he was acting super zany over the top in order to scare us from voting hm in case he might be Cohen. I still think it is possible that was what he was doing. He has gone pretty quiet now since his near death too. But I honestly can't shake the feeling he was sincere. Ugh.
I find the Bea thing interesting right now, mainly because I did not put any stock whatsoever in her first lynch. I felt like she was just sincerely frustrated and never saw any real damning evidence aside from a poorly timed vote, but that obviously can happen with civs as well. However, I do have to agree that she feels different this time around. Her posts read more on edge and then her sudden reversal to try and be friendlier with Indi reads a bit like someone who is searching for the exact right balance that might make people feel better about her, whereas last time she got upset and voted herself. That was sincere frustration, I'm not sure I am seeing that here now.
I guess I have not ally considered the GOB a case because I know he was new and I like to give new players a lot more benefit of the doubt because I want them to enjoy the game and play again, lol. Probably a bad safety game wise, but I feel like a life long player and me,ber of the community is more important to me than a win in a single game. However, he has now been replaced by Kate so I will just have to keep an eye there.
A lot of people have been quieter than their normal, but it sounds like quite a few are on vacation. Makes it hard to really get a grasp on anything. Regarding DFaraday Iwill say this. Yes he is quieter than he used to be back in the day, but i assume some of you have noticed he has become quieter in games more recently overall. I assume this is due to him being busier or something. I have yet to find anything strange in his behavior this time around. This is normal behavior for hm lately and it frequently gets him lynched lately, but I have not seen it to be telling of his alignment in past games I have played with him recently. Until there is more than tht to go on, I don't see myself voting for him.
Dom, you are making me really nervous buddy. You just asked if anyone has noticed we have Not heard anything from INH since his name came up. If he suddenly appeared after his name came up, that would seem suspect to us all I'm sure. How is NOT showing up when he is brought up for being quiet more suspect than him showing up suddenly? I feel like you are one of the vocal people who a helping to direct the conversations in this thread and I'm not sure you have civ intentions right now.
Alright. I need to make a decision. I am going with my gut today and voting for Bea. I luff my Bea, but I can't shake the feeling something is off with version 2.0.
*votes Bea*
Linki: And now INH is here... Not sure what to make of that now, given what I said above.
Dex.......... You guys really are making my decision as difficult as possible.
Nope, sticking with my gut.

Randomly chose juliets to be rezzed.
INH, Could you please explain the part regarding Bullzeye?
Bea was bringing attention to Bullzeye, but wasn't the most obvious aggressor, them being me and Dom. Also the case on bea was BS.
I randomly picked because none of the names really stood out to me as someone I was sure was good. Plus I didn't have time to do a massive re-read on all of the candidates.
But do you not see the flaw in that? Random voting in a resurrection poll just doesn't seem like a good thing to do, it's far better to at least vote for someone you think might not be bad.
insertnamehere wrote:Bullzeye wrote:
I'd have to look at Bea's voters again, I don't remember who they were exactly but my comment was more to do with INH seeming to act like it was my fault Bea got lynched when I didn't even vote for her. I agree INH's randomisation is odd, did you also notice when he voted for me he claimed to be following Bea's logic (though she hasn't said much about me) but used yours in his post?
I agree, me using two different people's logic and combining them makes me bad.
Bea never made a case against me. My name came up in a post she made but she herself said she wasn't sure if she found me suspicious, she was in no way a driving force in the case on me.
insertnamehere wrote:bea wrote:ebwop - and boats. :faceplam: this is what mafia is like for me before caffine.
Ok - so my thought today was to see who, if anyone, has consistently voted for a civ, while not voting for teefies on day 2. Here's what i've come up with:
Day 1: A Person voters who did not vote for teefies and are still alive: Devin, Insertnamehere,
Bullzeye, Snow Dog and
Mata.
Day 3: Llama voters who did not vote for teefies and are still alive: Insertnamehere,
Bullzeye, Devin and
Mata. (Snow Dog voted Lizzy)
Day 4: Boo voters who did not vote for teefies and are still alive:
Mata, Devin,
Bullzeye and Snowdog
Day 5: Boats voters who did not vote for teefies and are still alive:
Bullzeye, Devin, and
Mata.
I looked through both Mata and Bullz's posts after this, but Bullzeye's posts seemed very off. I've already stated why.
I assume this is what you mean by Bea's "logic" for voting me. Not that nowhere in that post she says I'm bad. Look a couple of posts later for the one where she outright says she isn't sure either way about me. You've also still not explained/backed up the comment you made about me seeming coached. This is the fourth time I'll mention that.
insertnamehere wrote:insertnamehere wrote:
Snipped a bit, nothing really added by it
The last few days have been very hectic with moving, setting up the Internet so it freaking works, and the holiday to top it all off. I haven't been able to play, and I apologize to MP, and everyone else in this game.
Also "Based on the posts of other players"? Excuse me, but isn't that how the game of mafia works? You base your suspicions on your observations and other player's observations. Saying that because I use other peoples observations, I'm evil, is like saying that because I voted in the poll, I'm evil.
Part 2 up in a minute.
I must have missed the OT bit, sorry, sometimes I do skip right over green stuff if I've read it before. I wasn't really using your absence as a reason you're bad anyway, I took evidence from the posts you have made. While I agree that of course you should base your thoughts on other people's observations as well as your own, the point is that it's
as well as your own thoughts. It's fine to quote someone, say oh look at these lovely well made points right here and add a little of your own thoughts to it but your early votes were literally:
*Vote A Person* - no further or prior discussion from you. Not even saying who/what in particular convinced you AP was a good lynch candidate.
*Vote Llama* - the only other thing you'd said about Llama was that you were suspicious of him because of things others have said. I think that just agreeing with people and not putting yourself out there at all is the very definition of blendiness - a common baddie tactic.

Hey everyone, sorry but the lynch post will definitely be late. I literally just got home and I left the office an hour and fifteen minutes ago... and without any traffic, that commute only takes like ten, fifteen minutes tops.
That and I have a few things I need to do, so it might be a little while.

No, that isn't what I was implying.
No, I don't think that.
I just don't want to be accused of wasting perfectly good pasta.

Day 7: Dr. Dex
Zany Dex was mutilating a woman on the operating table in his office. "What can I do with this one, Aphrodite? She won't STAY STILL!!! I want to make them beautiful, but they always turn out wrong. That one, too fat. This one, too tall. This one, too symmetrical! And now..."
Zany Dex heard a crowd of Splicers, ready to advance. He saw them enter his office.
"What's this, goddess? Intruders? My god, they're ugly! UGLY! UGLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!"
Zany Dex opened fire on the Splicers, but the sheer number of them combined with their will to rid the world of him was too much. The crazy old bastard wouldn't live another day.

The question is, which one? Dom has pinged me before, I think, but I'd have to read back to remember exactly what he said. No doubt INH is acting weird, but that may be normal for him. And a Freudian slip is in large part what got BWT lynched on back on Day 2, so if bea really made 2 there it may be worth following. On the other hand, if she is good it looks pretty clear that indiglo isn't, pushing so hard for her.

Oh, right. That's what it was. Thanks for the reminder.
I never claimed to be using logic about bea/indi. I you're absolutely right that indi could be wrong twice about the same person. I just think that without some kind of certainty that the player you're accusing is not on your team, most people would hesitate to go after the same player twice in a row. I know I would, anyway. And indi has been extremely vociferous this time. So I very much doubt they're the same alignment.
I don't expect you, Nev, or Epi to agree, since you follow only logical arguments, but it's running through my mind so I thought I'd share for others' sake.

Night 7: The Bomb
After much digging and searching, Jack had stumbled upon a way to break Ryan's barricade: a bomb. Kyburz's secret creation would be perfect for the job... hopefully. He picked it up and stole it.
"Does it look like it's a real bomb? It better. You got to put it on the core past Geothermal Control, and we'll see if these needlenoses knew what the hell they were talking about."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Now you see me..." The Houdini Splicer teleported.
"Now you don't!"
indiglo was frustrated. She was being irritated by this Splicer and wanted to just get home for the night to her apartment in Mercury Suites. "Come on, let me go in peace. You're annoying me."
But the Houdini Splicer wasn't done. "You know, you'd make a great ice sculpture, you would!" Before indiglo could react, her body was frozen solid. The Splicer touched the ice, cracking it, and then disappeared, laughing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack arrived at Geothermal Control.
"I'm no engineer, but if I read these plans right, you can channel that magma flow using the redirect valve. It'll boil off that water right quick, and you'll be able to reach the core." Atlas advised. "But Ryan's sure to take notice—might want to set up a perimeter, just to be certain."
Jack began to turn the magma release valve.
Ryan indeed took quick notice. He sent out Splicers. "Will these creatures kill you? Even I don't know. As you drag me closer to the abyss, you pull yourself right along with me. I offer you a quick death, parasite. It will be preferable to what you will learn if you win."
Jack finished off the Splicers and finally completed releasing the magma. "Are they all dead? Hope so. Best be heading on to the core."
Jack called the elevator to the core.
"So far away from your family, from your friends, from everything you ever loved. But, for some reason you like it here. You feel something you can't quite put your finger on. Think about it for a second and maybe the word will come to you: nostalgia."
Jack used the core lift control, getting ever closer to his destination.
"What did Atlas offer you? A piece of my plundered city? Mark my words: your only reward will be a knife in the back."
Jack placed the bomb in the core.
"Christ, what a racket you're making down there. If you've surged the core, then there's only one more task to be done. Head on back to Ryan's gate and throw the circuit breaker. That'll let you right into his place."
Jack arrived back at Ryan's office and overloaded the circuit breaker. The bomb worked!
"In the end, all that matters to me... is me. And all that matters to you... is you. It is the nature of things." Ryan awaited the inevitable.
Jack entered Rapture Central Control.

Night 7: Would You Kindly?
"Even in the book of lies, sometimes you find truth. There is indeed a season for all things. And now that I see you flesh-to-flesh and blood-to-blood, I know I cannot raise my hand against you. But know this: you are my greatest disappointment.
Does your master hear me? Atlas!!? You can kill me, but you will never have my city!! My strength is not in steel and fire! That is what the parasites will never understand. A season for all things: a time to live, and a time to die. A time to build, and a time... TO DESTROY!!!!!!!"
The entire building began to rumble. "Come now, my child. There is one final thing to discuss."
"What?! Ryan's set the core to self-destruct! This is different than what you did, he's got a mind to take down the whole damned city! Get in there and whack the chump before the whole joint blows!"
Jack hurried up the stairs and crawled through the vent. He had to get into Ryan's office somehow. He came upon a room with a desk, cluttered with hundreds of post-it notes. The whiteboard on the wall behind the desk had pictures of six individuals on it and red lines connecting them. A giant "Would you kindly?" was written in blood across the wall. Jack found two audio diaries on the desk. He listened to them, and then left the room and continued through the door into the main portion of Ryan's office.
