thanks everyone for posting relatively more than usual on a day 1 phase. It was awesome to see 8 people actually active and contributing. a shame more people couldn't be around for eod, but the drwilgy lynch was almost unanimous.

I've never seen a wacky gambit like DrWilgy's and I was surprised everyone was quick to call him scum for it (easy for me to say, sitting on my high horse with the role cards, I know). Why would scum have claimed mason when no attention was on him, after 2 people already claimed masons? not a rhetorical question, genuinely curious what people thought was happening. unsure what I would have done in the circumstances.

i flipped a coin to see if every role should be in the game, and it came down to 1 cop, 1 mayor and 2 masons.

it really fucks people up when the game has 1 mason, or no cop and scum take a gambit and claim cop.

I found Kyle the scariest player to go up against in this game. The other folks that were confirmed town were much less active. Kyle was motivated and gunning pretty hard.

and here i thought i was mimicking my meta quite well

if I were town I'd have called people out on their shit a lot more than I did when it came to Wilgy's claim. I was bad and I still did. In the end it kind of looked like town just wanted to lynch wilgy and pin the blame on him if they were wrong.

I disagree that town played poorly re: wilgy tbh. Pretty much every townie tried to give wilgy some sort of benefit of the doubt at some point or another. His gambit felt half baked cuz he didn't really follow through on it

Well, not really. I actually was planning on making a case against Marmot today, but then my morning got busy, and I told myself that I'd do it in the afternoon, and I forgot that the friggin' game was about to end.

After DrWilgy's performance in Blue Velvet, a game I hosted, where he did some bizarre, inscrutable role claim that made literally no sense for him to do, and caused his mislynch, I feel like he cannot be trusted whenever he claims a damn thing. Meanwhile, Marmot was giving me baddie vibes out the wazoo.

Is it better or worse to be wrong and lose, or to be right and lose? Probably the latter.

I'd say it's easy in the same way a Burglary is easy -- it just happens quickly.

This game is designed to run in one day phase though. The bad guys lose all the time because of the role claiming dynamics.

if wilgy hadn't wilgified the thread, marmot and quin were respectively top suspects for everyone. potentially clearing up to 5/8 players is what makes it tricky and scum often have to counterclaim to win.
