I'm actually going to consider voting for someone I feel trustworthy about. I'll use myself as a last resort if I can't decide on anyone, but I hate when people do these early Night 1 or Night 2 votes for themselves. It splits the votes up in so many ways if enough people go through with it, and then the baddies can lump an extra vote or two on one of their teammates and get the reward/prize themselves.

Something fell out of the High Aldwin’s pack. It was a satchel full of acorns.

The villagers argued over who should get the acorns. It came down to a vote.

It is now Night 1. You have 23 hours to send in your PMs.
Despite the deadline noted in the poll, Night ends at 6:38pm.

Can we vote for ourselves?
You may.

Kate threatening people in the thread does not seem very civ to me. I'm definitely wary of SVS also. Tomorrow I'm going to keep an eye on both of them.

Can't say I agree about the SVS thing. But I agree about the (very bizzare it was) Dom lynch, and opted for a different vote option for the acorns. I may not be everyone's friendly, neighborhood turnip head, but I'd like the acorns. I may change my vote if I feel inclined to keep them from someone else though.

Why do you expect me to have told you whether or not it was wrong to vote for Dom? I didn't know his role, nor did any other civilians. The only people who knew for sure that it was wrong to vote for Dom were the baddies. I did find it odd that he got piled up on out of nowhere though, hence my pondering.

Dom did not bandwagon on SVS. He did not vote at all in the poll. He simply expressed suspicion of SVS, and got jumped for it.

I actually didn't notice he didn't vote, but I still felt his reaction was shady, but I was wrong, and I'm sorry about that.
But if you thought all those votes piling up were odd, why didn't you say something about it back then, yet now, you're expecting people to trust you when we know nothing about SVS, and you're saying those who voted for Dom can't be trusted. I see no reason why some of those voters can be less trusted than you

^ This is Dom's single, solitary ontopic post this game. Seriously, other than some discussion about the Day 0 poll, this is all he said on-topic. Let's see how he ended up quickly receiving 5 votes for it.

FZ. wrote:

Why does that make her a baddie and not a civ? In the very few games I got to play with her, she's been quite active and voiced her opinions. This just seems like bandwagoning but while trying to appear like you're having your own thoughts
This is FZ's response to Dom's post. FZ accuses Dom of bandwagoning and not having his own thoughts. We now know that Dom was a civvie, and thus his thoughts were completely his own, so FZ was wrong about Dom's intentions.
birdwithteeth11 wrote:

From what I've seen, not really. The only person she's really been getting on about is Andrew. Otherwise it seems like she's in defense mode most of the rest of the time.

Maybe you're playing your own mind games with us. :eye:
BWT defends SVS's actions, and accuses Dom of playing mind games for voicing his suspicion of SVS.
Elohcin wrote:Not much time left and I needed to vote. I randomized and got Dom. I promise I won't randomize Day 2. :p
Elo randomizes and votes for Dom.

Also, I like ties for Day 1. :D

Votes Dom
BWT says he is tempted to vote for SVS, thereby agreeing somewhat with what Dom was saying. Then BWT accuses Dom of "outright lying" , which I would like BWT to clarify what he meant there. Then BWT defends SVS again, saying she "may very well just be speculating". Then he further attempts to justify his vote by saying he likes ties.

Kate says good points have been brought up against Dom. She says SVS is reading civ to her, and that Dom should know better than to accuse SVS. Her vote for Dom is directly linked to her disagreeing with Dom about SVS.
Sorsha wrote:I'm fine with Dom getting the vote but I'm going to place mine on TH. I think he was doing some of the same that Dom is being accused of... Jumping on the (llama) suspicions on SVS.

Votes th
Sorsha is fine with Dom getting votes, but she votes for TH because I "jumped" on suspicion of SVS.
S~V~S wrote:I have not really had time to read back, still at the parents, but don't want to miss the vote. Voting self preservation, sorry Dom.
SVS votes for Dom, not having read any of the discussion surrounding him. She says her vote is simply for self-preservation. At the time of SVS's vote, Dom had 4 and she had 2. Other than her, the only players remaining who hadn't cast a vote were Dom and DH, and neither of them ended up voting in the poll.

Everyone who voted for Dom (except Elo) did so simply because he voiced a suspicion he had of SVS.

I don't expect people to trust me. I hope people trust me, because I'm a civvie and I have good intentions this game, and I'm actively engaged in trying to find baddies. Whether or not people trust me is up to them.

I also did not say that those who voted for Dom can't be trusted. I simply stated that I don't think those players should be entitled to Dom's acorns. I don't think he would want to give his nutsack to anybody who killed him.

It's odd to me that you are placing the burden the responsibility on Turnip Head for your bad vote. I was out when people started voting for Dom and didn't get back until the poll was closed, so I couldn't have said something (I certainly would have if I could), but in my view it is not right to pass the buck for your bad decisions onto others by saying they should have talked you out of it.

I screwed up. I'll be the first to admit it. I hate being wrong, but it felt scummy to me. I don't expect people to trust me more for that, so yeah...
birdwithteeth11 wrote:
Dom wrote:Th, I was thinking SVS was bad for different reasons. I think she has been way too active in saying who is civvie and not who is baddie. :)

Yeah, but you have to admit that other than Andrew, which was something she talked about before there was anything to talk about at all, she didn't really say anything about anyone else, like most of the players at that stage, so BWT was basically right, and I agreed with him, like I stated before I voted.
Elohcin wrote:Not much time left and I needed to vote. I randomized and got Dom. I promise I won't randomize Day 2. :p
Elo randomizes and votes for Dom.
This is probably the most interesting vote. Did you do this by chronological order or was she the first to vote for him? If she randomized after the vote and after I voiced my suspicions, then this is scummy to me. If you want a civvie lynched and you want to appear like you're not really responsible for the lynch, randomizing is a good way. She either didn't want SVS gone because they could be baddies together, or she is a baddie who couldn't randomize and "get" SVS when she had most votes. It was too convenient, so she went with Dom. Also, I haven't played many games, but this is definitely the most involved I've seen Elo in. Not saying she's very involved, but more than I've seen from her in previous games where she was a civvie.
birdwithteeth11 wrote:I'm half-tempted to go with S~V~S. I could see her being bad and trying to gain some cred by setting Andrew up. But I'm going to go with Dom, because I think what he is attempting to do is more subtle, and at least as unfriendly. Plus Dom is outright lying and S~V~S may very well just be speculating.

I don't know, he just comes off quite genuine, but maybe he's fooling me. The lying part, if I got him right was regarding what Dom said about SVS focusing on who is civvie
S~V~S wrote:I have not really had time to read back, still at the parents, but don't want to miss the vote. Voting self preservation, sorry Dom.

Honestly, I don't think there was much to base suspicions on yet, and when the late voters came in, and it was between these two, their logic, even if they are baddies, makes sense.

I'm not! I admit I was wrong. I admit I screwed up, and trust me, I beat myself up about it. I absolutely lynching a civvie (ask my K-site friends. It barely happens), but the days here end too soon. Anyway, it wasn't meant to put the burden on TH, I just didn't like how he wanted people to trust him more based on the fact that he didn't vote for Dom or something like that. If he thought we were wrong, he should have said something, not just pondered. When I think someone is a civvie, even if I don't know it, I defend them, like I thought I did with SVS...even though I could have been wrong.

Dom did not bandwagon on SVS. He did not vote at all in the poll. He simply expressed suspicion of SVS, and got jumped for it.
I actually didn't notice he didn't vote, but I still felt his reaction was shady, but I was wrong, and I'm sorry about that.

OK, FZ has been acting really odd about TH. Her case is practically nonexistent. Saying that because TH didn't immediately call out people for voting Dom before we knew his affiliation, he's as suspicious as the people who bandwagoned on Dom? I don't know if you have info on him, or maybe you are really desperate to shift blame off of the Dom voters. I'm not getting positive vibes from FZ.

I'm just saying that it's really easy for baddies to use the lynch of a civvie to their advantage, and since he was here all along when those votes were piling up yet said nothing but "ponder", he can't come back later and say he felt all those votes were odd. He should have said something in "money time".
But I'm doing a leap of faith after his recent posts and giving him my trust. Think of that what you want

Yes ma'am. :noble:

TH, the main thing I focused on with Dom was him saying that S~V~S had been spending more time on people she thought were bad than people who were civs (paraphrasing here). I referred to it as "outright lying" because it was, well, outright lying. S~V~S had spent so much time on Andrew, that most of the rest of her posts were her trying to defend herself. I know it's not much, but it was a Day 1 vote, and it was what felt strongest to me at the time. I was clearly wrong, but there's not a whole lot I can do to change it now. And I stand by my justification for it at the time.

So sorry, but not everyone who voted for Dom did so for the reason you claimed. I just proved otherwise. I will say that I felt FZ, Kate, and Sorsha gave the weakest reasons for voting for him. So I can safely rule out giving them a vote tonight.

Night 1: Pigs with Teeth

As the villagers departed into the woods, birdwithteeth11 began complaining of stomach pains.

“Stop complaining,” said thellama73. “It’s probably just something you ate during the festivities.”

Only a squeal replied.

birdwithteeth11 has been transformed into a pig. It is now Day 2. You have 24 hours to lynch someone.
