This is the same thing I initially suspected Sloonei for, only he justified it well by saying that it was a pressure vote to get the ball rolling, and it worked. What's contrived about it? "Contrived" is the word I'd use to describe Sloonei's post. If he wanted to know if votes were changeable, why didn't he read the rules to see? It's literally the first one.

The question seems to have been asked for the sake of asking it, or to telegraph his next move, as if to say "I'm going to vote right now, but I want everyone to be aware that it can be changed and that I am aware it can be changed".
