Anybody else you people want on or off the poll?
Murder, Mayhem, and Mafia

The only people who want to commit and make a statement in the context you've said are people who are trying to paint a picture of who they are in the thread. Why post with an agenda?speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:48 pmThe only good feels I have from Mac came from his hard-nosed style. Then I was told that he was like that as both alignments, so I went back to bleh on him.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:18 pmI think Mac was good and Kyle is bad. Some odd mixture of TMI, guessing your motive, wondering why you thought Kyle would be better, and being annoyed that you didn't make a stronger case on Kyle if you really wanted that lynch.
Ultimately, why did you vote for Mac?
Worse than Kylemii. Kyle's tone reads as town, though I'm still not seeing the civvie spark from him that I usually do. He 'shines' more in late game anyway, so I'm willing to give him more time.
I moved my vote from Wilgy to Mac so that I could commit, make a statement. I wanted my vote on the record, to weigh in on the choice even though my vote wasn't needed. Seems like a good thing to do, make my vote worth something on the record.
shoot, sorry :x I actually didnt realize you were back until after I started the later part of that postMacDougall wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 2:18 amYou didn't mention that I was back. That hurts.
Cause 1) I am town and want to lynch players who are not
I like this thought process.Kylemii wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 1:55 am okay cool no death and also Sloonei is here again and also we seem to have a new friend?
I have thoughts on the no-kill.
we have no protective roles, at least among the visible powers. technically speaking there could be a role with a bp vest or something but epi has stated his dislike for that mechanic. Idk I guess it's a possibility. Not the point.
Town has 3 visible ways to stop a kill. Or maybe 4 technically?
1. Subzero blocks the killer
2. Sheeva blocks the killer
3. Li Mei swaps goro's target with someone who was going to target the killer with something else
4. Li Mei swaps the mileena's target with someone else's target who was targetting player who would have been the victim
5. there are also some possibilities involving redirecting a Shang Tsung who is copying any of the above roles I guess
6. also maybe someone has a survival thing as a secret power?
The point is, most of those scenarios requires one of our roles to have targeted the killer with power disruption roles last night, which indicates to me that we're probably on the right track with one of our most recent suspicions. So that's where my focus will be today.
We believe it to be in errorJackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 2:38 amI like this thought process.Kylemii wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 1:55 am okay cool no death and also Sloonei is here again and also we seem to have a new friend?

Dunya replaced in during day 2, the chaos realm phase which was a basic fuckpile of nonsense and people trying desperately to be heard because of almost everyone being cursed.

I wouldn't want to lynch dunya based solely off her participation in a phase when she could only post in raps, fresh as they might have been. She's a very sincere player, so I think if she's being anything less than that it should come out sooner or later. I don't remember the last time I saw her scum game though. I'm pretty sure she's only been town on the syndicate so far.Kylemii wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 2:51 amDunya replaced in during day 2, the chaos realm phase which was a basic fuckpile of nonsense and people trying desperately to be heard because of almost everyone being cursed.
Dunya upon replacing in (and apparently having read the thread ahead of time) almost immediately made a relatively legible case against sig using rap lyrics and strategic quoting. Sig ended up getting lynched, and was a civ.
I think the two main arguments for and against dunya respectively are, "dunya came in and immediately made a strong effort despite adversity and communicated clearly when she didn't need to" and "dunya came in and immediately made a case against someone in order to save a teammate in distress"
There might be some other nuance involved but that's mostly it I think.

I don't know what it means that you aren't really trying to avoid lynch. (I'm still going to try to lynch you.)

let's start with dunya
dunya launched an immediate case on me after the sig lynch. I find said case disingenuous. I recommend you have a look.Sloonei wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 2:57 amI wouldn't want to lynch dunya based solely off her participation in a phase when she could only post in raps, fresh as they might have been. Please ISO me to see what I told Quin. He's being unreasonably obtuse for my reasoning.
A little bit, but it was Chaos and then Fiddler started and absorbed my attention. I can't say I developed any strong reads.
only immediately after my death where speedchuck made me think he was scum
wait what are you talking about? what events were misrepresented?
We don’t believe that the conclusion that Kylemii has drawn is necessarily accurate. That said, what does one make of Kylemii’s argument if he too knew the truth and it wasn’t reflected in the conclusion that he’s drawn here publicly? Is there an advantage for him in that case?nutella wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 5:28 am I think Ermac is suggesting that the actual mechanic by which there was no death was something that you didn't mention. I haven't looked at the roles closely enough to know whether you missed anything, but it could be something that's not public and perhaps Ermac is suggesting you know something?![]()
