Why TH?
Tbh his voting record is not as good as I thought but his posts have that genuine hunting feel and i believe he's coming from a town place. I especially like his recent pressure on Fractal as it was against the grain until now, and I also liked his progression from suspecting me to then agreeing with my case on Colin/pursuing Colin on d3 I think it was. He doesn't make sense as mafia in my mind.

I can remove nutella from suspicion (as much as I can clear you) if you’re really going to clear her that thoroughly. I’m looking most at INH, Fractal, Sig, Dom, Marmot and Nijuu, I think.

Pressuring fractal right now isn’t particularly enlightened in my view, he’s the obvious choice for who is bad.

A bad read on Fractal is definitely tinfoil right now. If inh is bad, fractal was sloppy. If inh is good, fractal walked back an apparent promise for no real gain. But it’s the second time in a row he’s featured one way or the other as a critical vote in a lynch on a townie.

An inh/colin/fractal team is likely too obvious just because it’s sloppy. But sloppy does happen.

Anyway, circuitous way of saying a fractal suspicion right now seems to me to be obvious but also skin deep. But I’ll have another read in case he’s gone deeper than I thought.

Nutella has a habit of taking early suspicion, no matter what the circumstance.

Re: Fractal I don't think it's "obvious". I mean what if nobody brought up his name? I don't understand fully what you mean here.

Anyways I agree that that ^ team, in all likelihood, isn't 3/3 connected to each other, which does poke flaws in the whole premise of all three being bad individually.

Oh right, gotcha.

Sorry TH, I conflated nutella's rad of you with your sudden huntiness today. From my perspective, I've had no impression of you at all. If you'd just started hunting Fractal today, it would have been obvious just because he suggested he'd break the tie and didn't, so he's the obvious candidate.

That both speed and I came out of that lynch imagining inh/colin/fractal duos is enough for me to see this as the 'obvious' answer which also means we should be careful not to run headlong into it in my opinion.

Yeah that's fair Golden. I wasn't actually here at EoD so the tie isn't factoring into my fractal integer wholly.

:haha: honestly that joke is a bit derivative, let's not go off on a tangent here since the differentiating between fractions and integers isn't really integral to solving the game

I won't lie nutella dying is good for the civs. It means she wasn't mafia and we can look back at d1 and d2 with fresh eyes.

We have two paths right now.

2. We just start weed whacking out inactives/semi active ppl who have done suspicious stuff.

INH ISO:

Town things:

-I don't have meta to know if this feeling is totally off, but my initial feeling on INH's way of giving townreads by his "Hot tub of trust" seemed like something a wolf might avoid because it might make people suspicious.
LC reads damn weird to me. I'd be utterly chuffed if he was lynched today. In fact, the people apprehensive about lynching him despite agreeing with the case on him are inspiring some apprehension in myself.
-This was d2, 20 min until EoD, where he also voted LC and i think tied the votes up between nutella and LC. Even if LC is the kind of scum that CAN be bussed for credit, it certainly looks like he could've made nutella been lynched here over LC. Good look. Anyone wanna input on INH's meta in terms of bussing?

Scum things:
I warned y’all that Vomp wasn’t a good lynch target unless there was literally no better option.
-He said this after not being around that day at all or pushing anything himself, acting up about who got lynched seems a little fake.
I’ll leave everyone with this hot take that I really truly only 70% believe in: Marmot, Lapluie, Sig, Scotty. At least one of those people is bad.
-4 are a LOT of people, and still after naming so many he hedges if there's even 1 in them.

-His townread of Vompatti for agreeing with "his jib" about randomvoting feels a bit meh. But then again his phrasing of it seemed to acknowlege he knew it was meh, so i don't know how to feel about it.

-Not a specific post, but some of my thoughts on his general play: He's given quite a few townreads, but the only person he's gone against and called scummy this game is LC. I could easily see INH as someone feeling a bit uncomfortable with falsely accusing people when he's scum. So even when trying to give some more suspicions later he acts VERY unsure, so people won't get back at him for it later, like the "70% i even believe this, but MAYBE 1 in these 4 suspects".

Likely not scum together with:

His first game/readrelated post townread niju and used that townread to scumread others who attacked niju. In my experience scum tend to not handle read on teammates in that way

Conclusion: I have a hard time parsing his posts as clearly scummy or towny, but i feel like he has problems calling people scummy, except for LC (who he would know was scum if he is himself). And i've seen this behaviour from scum many times, so overall i'm leaning slightly towards scum even though he saved nutella d2 over LC, but i'm far from confident.

Marmot ISO:

Town things:

-His first vote on Niju with the reasoning he gave seems reasonable based on what i've seen from him, even if i don't agree with it.
I like your response.

Alright Lunalee, where are we voting now?

-He said this when having read Niju's reaction to being voted. I like how he moves around between votes while communicating with people that's thought around the same lines as he has.
I'm happy to vote Dom. I read through his posts, and don't see anything that jumps out and says "Hey I'm a courageous townie!"
[VOTE: DOM] aubergine

Confident tone without showing he knows Dom was town. I like it.
Sig's probably right about inh. Does that we mean we lynch him? Well if he's right, then inh isn't mafia so... NO!
-In response to sig's talk about ramses. His stance on ramses at least seems like a town one to me. Scum would want to lynch ramses probably, and my guess is a lot of them wouldn't be against openly saying it.
Where's Luna's well-reasoned read of you?

I recall a time when you didn't trust her, and were leary of her for trusting you in spite of that.
This post shows he's following things from speed's perspective and asks questions based on it. (he made it in response to speed's post explaining his current Luna read)

Scum things:
It is interesting that you've chosen to apply this strategy. :ponder:
This post receives a suspect score of ★★★½..
-While i disagree with Vomp's post and think it's wrong, I don't think it's scummy. When i rand scum myself i tend to find posts i think is wrong, and call them scummy, so my gut reaction to Marmot's post is a negative one.

Conclusion: Have liked his tone and the attitude in several of his posts early on, disliked only 1. He's disappeared since, but when someone almost COMPLETELY disappears for this long, i usually think it's real life interfering rather than scum lurking. So I see that part as mostly NAI. I lean him slightly town

Note: A big part of his playstyle seems to be centered around finding contradictions in people's posts and calling them out (examples: His suspicions on Colin, Luna and INH d1). I have in the past had trouble reading these kinds of people, thought i'd mention that.
