Night 8: The Lion Labyrinth

Elohcin has been lynched. She was Zelda.

The eighth labyrinth is the Lion Temple. It sprawls outward like a kingly mane.

The Old Man of the Lion Labyrinth speaks:

“Before this ancient place was built, one hundred lions dwelled here. These lions were logical beasts. They ate plants that used to grow here, but what they really wanted was gazelle.

“However, in this place, there is was only one gazelle, and it was a magical one. The lions knew that if any one of them should eat the gazelle, the partaker would itself transform into a magical gazelle, who might in turn be hunted by members of its pride.

“One day, one of the lions was close to the gazelle, and the opportunity to consume the graceful beast was within its grasp. But it knew that if it transformed into a gazelle, it would not be able to escape another lion that decided to eat it.

“What happened? Ten rupees to anyone who PMs the logical answer, and a bonus four rupees if you can explain your answer.”

I'm definitely voting for llama tomorrow though based on Eloh's read of him.

I doubt that Made is Hyrulian. I'm a bit torn between ninja and Snow Dog from trying to sort out Eloh's thoughts. My own read has been civ on Snow Dog, which would leave ninja as the other option. Thoughts Russti?

Niju - She doesn't post much, but her posts seems to be meaningful/helpful. She is hard to read too.

Russ - He seems to have a lot of helpful things to say. He seems to be trying and coming up with suspicions, however I am not sure that his suspicions have much weight. So, I am pinged by that.

Snow Dog - Just overall seems like he is playing a pretty civ game.

Llama - I remember reading that some thought he wasn't posting as much as usual. May be true, but the page numbers seem to suggest he is about average for this game. He had four pages of posts like several other players. Anyway...his posts are helpful and he voices suspicions.

Nothing else to say, unfortunately. Rereading each player didn't really bring about any new pings, but there you go. Maybe you will be encouraged to do your own read through and post on everyone. I know many of us are getting discouraged by lynch results.

I was just about to ask this. Made suggested Russ, Russ suggested nijuu. I haven't decided which one I feel worse about yet.

Elo was bad. How can you trust her thoughts on anyone?

Her thoughts should still be dissected, especially something like this. If she still has two teammates alive, we need to look through her interactions and reads on everyone, because that can support any theories we have already. For example, she gave a relatively lengthy analysis on llama without really actually saying much. Her read on ninja was very noncommital, but so was her read on you. She said Russti could be bad, which was mainly for consistency since she's suspected him before and voted him twice. I don't think he's bad, nor does anyone else to my knowledge.

Linki: I'm saying that I don't think she's distancing with Made in this game. Eloh would not 'fake' contacting a mod to make a teammate look more civ. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Eloh had been pushing for a Made lynch since before we (except Made) decided she was bad.

Ditto, As of recent i'm reading snow as more civvie, and Ninja as more off mafia-e. I think the best place to look would be to do further analysis on the night Liz died. It's the first time Ninja really stepped up, and everything about that lynch really pinged me. With MR as civvie, a BaddieBloops seems incredibly plausible more so than a snowie baddie at this point anyways...

Death Mountain

By Day 9, Ganon’s forces were starving and exhausted. Until the day before, Hyrule had outwitted and outfought them. Having returned to Death Mountain to regroup, a strange feast surprised them: Set before them was succulent red meat. Giving into hunger, they began to devour the unexpected meal.

A flash of light in the shape of a sword shot forth and took Metalmarsh89 out of existence. His remaining supper fell to the ground.

“What are you doing fools?” cried Russtifinko. “We have work to do!”

“Care for a little music with your dinner, Snow Dog?” asked a voice.

Snow Dog looked behind him and saw thellama73 with a recorder.

“No!” Snow Dog cried, but as the music whistled through the air, he began to shrink until he was no more. Only a red prism remained.

“I’ll take that, Digdogger,” the Old Man said. “With the three Triforces in our possession, we can do this:”

The colors green, red, and blue swirled together and created a rift in the ground. Arising on a pedestal was a familiar Princess.

“It feels good to be back,” Elohcin said.

“Not you!” cried Made.

The magic of the Triforce did not bring Zelda back unarmed. With her silver bow, she pierced Made’s eye.

Then nijuukyugou stepped out of the shadows and addressed Russtifinko. “We know who you are, Ganon. Your reign of terror has ended!”

“Link!”

Game Over.

Hyrule has won!

Secrets

If Link receives no vote during the Day, he can use his sword to fire at and eliminate an enemy at Night.

Zelda uses her wisdom to role check each Night.

If the Old Man is alive by Night 2, Link can kill freely if he has no more than 1 vote. If the Old Man is alive by Night 4, Link can kill freely if he has no more than 2 votes. And so on.

Zola has no use for rupees, so you may try to bribe someone to vote the way you want with the rupees you earn. Your target does not have to accept your bribe. If a bribe is accepted but not honored, Zola kills the target.
You win by eliminating Link and the Overworld minions and surviving.

The Triforce of Wisdom: Learn one secret.
The Triforce of Power: Force someone's vote the next Day.
The Triforce of Courage: Protect someone from death that Night (other than yourself).

Mine was never switched to my knowledge.

The night that I became Patra, Ganon's seventh guardian, was the night I realized Russti had to be civ. I don't know if he knew I was the one who was upgraded, but I was certain he was Ganon, or at least he was on his team somewhere. I'm surprised no one called me for backpedalling on that one.

Also, I rolechecked MR on Night 6, but for some reason it failed. Anyone know why?
