I don’t like that everyone jumps on macs claim. I don’t like DFs self vote. I don’t like any of it.
Speed, nut, DDL, explain what was in your head?
I think DF is the most likely to have bussed Sokoth, and don't think he has anything going for him otherwise.
I saw DH say this. But why do you think that? What was it about his posts?
I looked at him after he made what I thought could be a slip when I said Luna looked worse, and looking back in his iso history his suspicion of sokoth seemed consistent. Much more consistent than, say, TH, who some have said started it. I came out with a light town read of DF after that iso.
I think TH is the most likely to have bussed sokoth.
What about me friendo?
I was expecting some heat seeing as I'm on the lynch poll
You too, but day three was the first time when you were posting and I thought ‘sounds town’. I can see a world in which you and TH are both bad but I can also see a world in which he’s pocketing you. I don’t really see your content as lending itself so much to you pocketing TH. So he’s a better starting point and assess you from there.
If I had this same poll without TH you’d be my starting point, and my questions would be why you started a CFD that ultimately resulted in a TH save and how you feel about the whole thing now.
The fact I tried to use the alignment check on you should tell you that my uncertainty in sincere.
Hmmm nice.
I'll go ahead and answer that question anyway. I started that CFD because I read both TH and Wilgy as Town, and I didn't want one of them to get lynched. If push came to shove I would have chosen TH over Wilgy (and push did come to shove lol.) I voiced my concern early on with the Wilgy lynch when his wagon started to take a lead, but no one listened lol. I also tried to get something going with INH as an alternative but that didn't take also. Enrique was someone, and still is, that I can vibe with his lynch. I don't have much on him, but I recall a place-holder vote on Colin he had and also some interactions that ensued that pinged me slightly. Also his whole announcement of votes D0 was weird stuff. A bit too much self-awareness for my liking. When push
DDL ended up turning me off when he got on it, lol. So I went back to Wilgy.
How is it that I did not turn you off when I voted for Wilgy, your civ read, but I did turn you off when I voted for someone you think is bad (Enrique)?
I was turned off from that one already. It was to save TH.

It's taking a Sokoth quote on a random AWOL poster going "uh i dunno i suppose he's playing", taking his self-vote as any meaningful statement when it's just Wilgy being Wilgy and Marmot being Marmot, but especially focusing on somebody we all know will offer very little resistance (the same way Mac1 got got). I don't buy any of it. You've been a part of all these low resistance lynches so you can see the pattern, right?

I would still be ok with a DF lynch as well, but I'm sure you'll just say that's low resistance as well. I'm just trying to vote for who I think is most likely to be bad. Make your case for TH or me or whomever, but my intention is not just an easy lynch, it's a well-reasoned and as promising to be right as I can come up with.

Wow that was weird wording in my last sentence lol sorry. Basically I mean that I have more reason to suspect Marmot or DF than the others on the poll so of course I'll vote for one of them over people I don't have particular reason to suspect. I have some amount of paranoia/tinfoil on both Golden and TH but I'm not quite ready to pursue that road yet and I think it's prudent to follow what I see as the more Occam's razor options first.

He wasn't absent for most of the game like Marmot was even though they have a similar number of posts. I feel that's a more reasonable path at least and the poll shifted a little too quickly there. It's just really curious there's this bloc making the same (low-resistance) votes every day.

Here's my thing right now Golden. I don't get why you seem hellbent on painting me into this tiny little corner of badness you've set aside for me. When I look at your other reads, you seem to have some degree of... what's the word...
consideration, like you're working through your thoughts on them. When you come at me though it's just a brick wall of suspicion. You're not engaging me, you're stonewalling me. I'm struggling to understand why you've approached me this way since essentially the beginning of the game. It feels irrational to me.
This is false. You’ve had copious opportunities to engage with my suspicion and all you’ve done is dismiss dismiss dismiss. This is the first post in four days where you’ve given the slightest indication of taking me seriously.
As you know - I shouldn’t have to remind you or anyone of this - in couragei genuinely thought you were bad. It was genuine hunting in which I read your iso several times, engaged with you, specified what I thought you were up to. That I happened to also be bad in that game is an easy but insincere way of doing more dismissal.

No. This is the same thing as TH is saying about me in courage. If I’m bad I need to use that check on someone I think could be third party, there’s still the possibility of threats to me. It wouldn’t just go to waste.
Admittedly I could have lied about who I used it on but I didn’t. Although I did spend a fair bit of time tossing up between using it on a bad read that I was doubting, and a town read everyone was fighting me on (you).

Trust me when I say nutella - I put in hours upon hours of work into identifying Ramses. My suspicion of TH was absolutely genuine and there was no part of it that was misrepresentation in that game at all. I asked people to go read his iso and judge for themselves numerous times, such was my conviction that my respresentations were accurate.

Now, no one really needs some kind of meta argument, I know how much people hate when I get into this stuff.
But in THs iso there, there was none of the dismissal we see here. In this game he makes fun of me every time I suspect him until now. In that game he just saw it as insincere and went after me. I think there is a marked difference in THs approach to me. It's not like I'm just running down the exact same rabbit hole I was in Courage... and in fact, in Courage, I can't say I necessarily would have seen him as bad if it wasn't intentional third party hunting on my part.
I could be wrong here, but the comparisons to Courage are also wrong (and for a good reason). Colin started that comparison, based on that being his only experience of me as a baddie. TH is, I think, picking up with that ball and running with it, but it's inaccurate.

Again Golden it's the fact that you tunneled me in both games that grinds my gears. It's like you're intentionally pushing my buttons. I find your word choice to be manipulative, i.e. saying you didn't mischaracterize my play in Courage (how can you be the judge of whether or not you mischaracterized someone elses play? on top of that you were literally outright wrong, on top of that you were bad!). It's like you just say whatever you have to in order to win the argument.as if winning the argument is the only thing that matters. Like you're always right even when you're wrong. It's frustrating.

Yes, but in order to save TH, you would rather lynch someone you think is a civ (Wilgy) than someone you think is bad (Enrique)?
No, and I'm not sure what you're trying to establish here. That's the reason I attempted the CFD on Enrique. I went back to Wilgy only after it didn't take. You turning me off didn't make me unvote, that last phrase in my initial post was poorly worded. I'm pretty sure I was the last one to switch from Enrique, and Nutella tagged me with less than 5mn to save TH.

Give me back my victim card, TH
In all seriousness though, case building is subjective. I didn't mischaracterise what I read. You may have felt my case wasn't an accurate representation of your game, but it was an accurate representation of what I read in your iso. I didn't leave anything out or deliberately try and skate over anything.
I know that your case on me in that game wasn't wholely accurate either, and you got a little lucky. But that doesn't change that for you it wasn't a misrepresentation, you said exactly what you saw. You weren't lying.
Both can be true at once. I didn't mischaracterise you. I was just wrong.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't like the way that Courage is being used, though. In that game I had a mafia rolecard and you had a town rolecard. In this game I have a town rolecard. I don't know what yours is, but I read you as bad. Scrambling out of that by pointing to an old game is like... there's a psychological theory for this, but I forget what it's called, maybe priming... where you make everyone remember when I was bad and make people think this looks the same. The similarities are superficial. Essentially just that I firmly think you are bad.
If you want to engage with the actual aspects of why I've said I find you bad, you should do that.
Whether genuine or false, you are top townreading each other and you would lynch someone you had a weaker town read on over TH. I can see this through both affiliation lenses. I have no issue as town voting for someone I think is town to protect someone I have a stronger town read on. I don't see DDL's line of thinking on you as accurate, I don't find that behaviour mafia-leaning, more NAI.
Here's my thing right now Golden. I don't get why you seem hellbent on painting me into this tiny little corner of badness you've set aside for me. When I look at your other reads, you seem to have some degree of... what's the word...
consideration, like you're working through your thoughts on them. When you come at me though it's just a brick wall of suspicion. You're not engaging me, you're stonewalling me. I'm struggling to understand why you've approached me this way since essentially the beginning of the game. It feels irrational to me.
This is false. You’ve had copious opportunities to engage with my suspicion and all you’ve done is dismiss dismiss dismiss. This is the first post in four days where you’ve given the slightest indication of taking me seriously.
As you know - I shouldn’t have to remind you or anyone of this - in
couragei genuinely thought you were bad. It was genuine hunting in which I read your iso several times, engaged with you, specified what I thought you were up to. That I happened to also be bad in that game is an easy but insincere way of doing more dismissal.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but weren't YOU the one who brought up Courage? If so, not a good look for you to bring it up then try to trap TH with it.
I beseech everyone to stop living in the moment and reacting to individual posts; go read TH's iso.
It's so frustrating in this game generally that if I make a case and characterise people's entire games through an iso, no-one else is willing to do that work as well.
DF looks good to me because of taking into account his whole iso not just one post.
TH looks bad for the same reason.
I know it's frustrating but the way to solving the game is with effort not with reaction. I wish/hope people will at least try reading TH's iso and coming to a view on my thoughts. At the moment the entire defense feels to me to be ad hominem. Even today, when he finally took it seriously, the defence is still ad hominem.
That question might be unfair to answer, because you can't give specifics of an ongoing game, so never mind. But let me ask you another way - do you think it's fair for me to characterise you here as quieter than you need to be?
