I had some fun, but brief, BTSC with mata in this game. We both were reluctant to trust each other at first I think, but it helped big time since Miyuki was someone I had been starting to wonder about. Also, which Grutfud sent me the secret msg? Was that rey, or Kate? Not that it matters, I'm just curious!

oh, and to SVS/Anchorete, that key you accepted wasn't a block, it was an alignment-checker key ;)

Do you guys know, i sent out my instant-kill key about 5 or 6 times in the game lol, and my targets never accepted it! XD

Night 1:

PeaPrincess checks Quaren - results are false.
Rapunzel - no vote D1 - no Night actions.
Bluebeard - offers post restricting key to Carmen, she declines.
Mother Huda - Follows Browyn - No results as Browyn was blocked.
Tom Thumb - targeted bluemoss - blocked by Puss.
Cindy - No vote day 1 - no night actions.
Charming - checks Bac for cindy - fail.

Rumple - NK Dilan bluemoss - Fail because of Day 0 prize. Word = "castle"
Wolfie - I have no D1 check for you DH ?
Puss - Blocks Browyn

Red Rose - Search brown for Charming - fail.

N2

Pea Princess - check Dilan Bluemoss - true.
Rapunzel - gets temp BTS with Bac.
Bluebeard - offer blocking key to Manchin - accepted.
Mother Huda - Blocks Browyn - follows Manchin - no results as Manchin was blocked.
Tom Thumb - Follows Gobnit - no results as she was blocked by Mother Huda.

Rumple - Magic word "against"
Wolfie - checks Manchin for RRH - result false
Puss - Blocks Bluemoss.

Wicked Witch (WW) - Kill bluemoss.

Rose - Kill Bluemoss - check Gobnit for Charming - fail.

N3

PeaPrincess - check Layne - true.
Rapunzel - Temp BTS w/ Shand
Bluebeard - offer vote manip key to Carmen - key denied.
Mother Huda - Protect Manchin - follow Carmen
Tom Thumb - Target Carmen - reveal Big Bad Baddie
Cindy - target Myiuki - fail.
Gnome - target Gobnit.

Rumple - NK Bac - fail. word = "against"
wolfie - checks ameerah for RRH - fail.
Puss - Target manchin - fail. Manchin is protected by Hulda.

Night 4 -
There is no N4 as Bac was targeted for an NK. Bac was Trusty Jon.

Night 5.

Pea princess - checks Myiuki - true.
rapunzel - gets temp bts with Rhinfew
bluebeard - offers protect key to lane - no response.
Mother Hulda - follows bac.
tom thumb - follows quaren - result - big bad baddie.
charming - snowdog replaces BF - we allow him to check for all the missing nights we had no pm - he checks: etain, browyn, carmen, diedre, and gobnit - etain is cindy - he is found by the free thinkers and joins red and snow.

Rumple - word = "point"
wolfie - search faine for RRH - fail.
puss - blocks faine - removes self from poll.

WW - Kill etain - gets clue for rumple word. "P-i-t"

Snow White - checks dilan for charming - success - charming is recruited. Kill bac.

N6 -

Bluebeard - Offers Kill key to carmen - power stolen by shoemaker.
Mother Hulda - follows Rheinfew
Tom Thumb - checks Rhenfew
Shoemaker - offers Bluebirds kill key to Dalon - after MUCH debating, decides to accept.

Wolfie - checks Orangesprite for RRH - fail.
Nixie - uses his end day early power on D6.

WW - kill Rhenfew - send previous day clue to diedre.

Snow White - Kill Ameerah.

N7.

Mother Hulda - follows Orangesprite - result - Orangesprite self targeted.

Rumple - Note: This was when we had the wonky day night numbering confusion. To make up for the fact that the other teams got to kill consecuitvely, we allowed the this team to have 2 nks this night. Unfortunately for them they picked Anchorite (who can't be NKed) and Shand (who had a gifted Night Protect from Daisy's Day 1 prize) Word = "backwards"
Wolife - checks Izznet for RHH - fail because of power stolen - Orangesprite is not RRH.

Wicked Stepsister (WSS) dead checks Rhinfew - he's a big bad baddie.

N8 - really a rather interesting night tbh...

Bluebeard offers protect key to Orangesprite - it's accepted.
Mother Hulda blocks orangsprite and follows fane. block is not allowed as Orangesprite is protected by bluebeard's key.
Shoemaker - sends message to Diedre - steals carmen's power - the word that day is "quiet"

rumple - word of the day was "looking" - but stolen from the shoemaker - so the word is "quiet"

ww - kill miyuki - fail because of prize NK protect.

Snow white - kill Fane - fail - Lyle dies as WSS for WSM.

N9

Mother Hulda - block fane - follow izznet - power stolen by the shoemaker
shoemaker - follows shand protects self.

WSS - dead checks browyn - results = tom thumb.

N10 -

Hanzel (Izznet) - targeted for NK - but instarezzed due to prize won N9.
Shoemaker - steal's fane's power - may stop the lynch Day 11 only if she desires.

WW - targets Izznet - fail due to N9 prize.
WSS - dead checks ameerah results - rapunzel.

snow white - kill anchorite - fail as she is WW.

These are all I have in the SS as of right now. I know rox ran the game a few days - while I wasn't able to be around. I have all the PM's and construct the rest of the game but it will take me a bit of time to do it.

Castle:

Rhinfrew Flowingrass wrote:

Dilan Bluemoss wrote:I suspect the castle won the poll, since the most people voted for it. The host post was a story having to do with castles. The Purple Sea Scribes have been combing the message for some sort of clue, but as yet have come up empty handed.

Bronwyn Mightyfeet wrote:I tried to follow some of the postings yesterday on my phone but I totally missed this post by Gobnait that tries to tie me and Queran together as bad and also makes a false statement about my question to Caillic about her vote. If i had seen it I would have responded. At this point, Queran has already pointed out the problems with Gobnaits post and the implications thereof so I'm going to confine my comment to the back and forth between us that he/she finds problematic.

I play these games to have fun. I thought Queran's post was funny with respect to the names he/she had made up so I replied in kind. We had a little fun. I have seen others having fun, I thought I would have a little bit too. That's all it was. I do not have bts with Queran and maybe Gobnait is new but to cook up something in bts about kidding around in the thread would be ridiculous. I also find it odd that Gobnait wouldn't also think the kidding around I was doing about finding wine at the castle was also an example of me and a teammate cooking up some kidding around to be taken to the thread. It seems the suspicion only exists when it's tied to Queran.

Rhinfrew Flowingrass wrote:I'm still itching to know about the woods / grandma's house / castle thing.

And Grandma's kind of mean. She uses a yardstick. :sigh:

That's three votes. We would like those three votes transferred to Dilan Bluemoss.

Word = "people"

Nice catch of the day! Our nets almost burst! :feb:

Queran Gloomsoul wrote:Fair enough Finnian, my point is not to be so aggressive about people wishing you'd put forth more effort. It looks strange when it's Day 3 and you pop in to make one or two liners and not much else. Nobody's saying you should make uberposts or nab a baddie in your first case, but *a* thought would be nice. Especially considering the sorry state of affairs we find ourselves in baddie-catching wise.

2.

Bac Wunderelin wrote:I won a prize, and i was told by the hosts that I no longer had it as I had been the person lynched.

As I said, there are three other people who can confirm (to themselves, not outing in the thread) that I was right about the other prizes. And no one can say they got the first prize. Becasue I got it. And it was a lynch save. You may find this far fetched, but truth it indeed is :srsnod:

*4*

Mainchin Ironbeast wrote:The problem I have with Finnian is that most people who didn't have time would say so from the off. Something like I'll be busy for a couple of days.
Carmen I wasn't convinced totally that she was not civ but that lynch switch is pretty damning.

So in short I feel we still have two good lynch candidates.

1

Ameerah Frolicstag wrote:Yay for no night kill!!!

Bac, we really are like ships passing in the night. I am not sure why you think I'm being blendy and using hyberbole. I spent a great deal of time on Day 2 reading back through a lot of posts and posted my thoughts on the people I'm suspicious of: Carmen, Mainchin, and Laine.

Mainchin has now come out and basically vouched for Laine which I'm not sure what to make of that. Could very well be a civvie vouching for another civvie. But couldn't it also be a bold mafia move? One teammates sees another teammate taking heat and decides to make a preemptive move to protect that teammate? I'm torn on this to be honest.

And Finnian is just confusing the heck out of me. Pointedly not voting in lynches, but continues to vote in night polls....why do that? Unless they don't have an active night power and can afford to not vote. But that still doesn't seem like civvie behavior to me.

1

Miyuki Lovelymoth wrote:
I agree with Shand on this also. If we are going to look at players who are missing alot of the game, we would have to include Grutfud and Lyle, and I'm not sure who else. Although, a player who did have a nightkill and lost it due to not voting, might try to appear absent for a few days, and then reappear with an excuse of having had some sort of problem to deal with. Especially since someone, Rhinfrew, I think, pointed out the idea of the no vote/no nightpower. Does this sound logical?

I'm hoping a few people will reread some of Carmen's posts made during the evenings, and discuss whether they redeem her or not.

4

Shand Azureye wrote:This response doesn't sit well with me. You seriously don't see why you consistently missing the polls would raise more than a few eyebrows? A busy townie would at least acknowledge that their lack of activity is hurting the town, and would do everything possible to assure the town of future participation. I was all for giving you BoTD today, but I can see why most people are not satisfied with an indifference that is sounding less and less townie as time passes.

9

Izett Cruelsinger wrote:Some of Finnian's recent posts have honestly seemed flippant to me. And obviously, Finnian has time to be here, read posts and at least reply briefly... so why not at least try to contribute something? I really had not been seeing the case on him/her up till now, I don't like to use "inactivity" as a case this early in the game. However I do find it odd that a player can be here, keep up with reading, and post excuses or posts that seem to antagonize... but not post anything else.

I mean, I don't have any huge, major insights either, but at least I can contribute what I notice about people. It may or may not mean anything, but I can share what I see and then other players can see if it makes sense to them too. So Finnian (as of today) is beginning to crick my brow.

Yeah Carmen can't be the word, it's a proper name.

And I was feeling really good about our candidates until this post. I'm certainly a civ, and I have been reading Mainchin as very civ as well. This worries me that neither Carmen or Finnian is on Queran's (evil) team. That doesn't stop them from being SKs or on the other team though, so I guess it's ok.

All things considered, I'm still ok with choosing either of them, but could we please save a bunch of time and just lynch Queran? Are people really still reading our ongoing debate as civ-civ? I just don't see how it's possible, we've been at each other's throats now for going on 3 days. No one else sees his posts as un-genuine?

Eurolyvn Blissfulone wrote:At this point I would say I am prepared to vote for her again. But I will say this, the other people who were serious contenders for the last lynch should be considered this time around too, because if it does happen to be a frame up job, then most likely one of those others Is on team rumple. Those people would stand to benefit the most from framing Carmen.

Rhinfrew Flowingrass wrote:Yes really- Day 1. Why? Because no Night period preceded it, which means it is the only poll we have where people could vote without their votes getting appropriated. I therefore think analyzing Day 1 is a good thing.

The consensus of the team is to dump all twelve votes on Mainchin Ironbeast.

Carmen Brightsun wrote:I never said *how* much experience I have with mafia, just that I have some. My experience could be just from what I have observed in this game only. I would come right out and say if this was my first game or how many games I have played if I weren't Carmen. However, I think the point of being Carmen, or Miyuki, is to keep all of those types of things secret.

Miyuki Lovelymoth wrote:I'm going to try not to quote today, since we don't know if magic words count when used in quotes, but I will say this to Carmen. Thank you, I do understand what you're saying about not wanting to reveal who you are in rl. But I have to say, a simple 'I did not role hint' would have been nice. And I read back, you had ample opportunity to say that at some point.

This is not good.

Queran Gloomsoul wrote:Now I want to address another issue, Gob's affinity for blending into the crowd.. Her affection for Bac's posts pinged me because, in my experience, it's very easy for someone to attach themselves to someone else, whom the believe to be civvie, in an effort to appear also civvie. To cut down on the size of this post I will not cite every time Gob did this with Bac, but sufficed to say if you read back through her posts, you will notice the pattern. I will however point this out:

Gobnait Gingeruite wrote:Bronwyn's vote for Caillic was partly following Queran's lead. He pointed out that Caillic had voted Ameerah while simultaneously hoping she was not lynched. She also said she was pinged that Caillic had not defended himself after receiving his first vote from Shand, a point I was originally confused about due to unclear antecedents. Her response was more or less "I am not connected to Queran and am not bad." Which to me seemed reasonable, so I let it go.

Fane Winebattle wrote:Thank you for that, Gobnait. Your effort enriches us all. At this point, you both make very convincing and sincere cases to the point that I'm inclined to vote for neither of you and seek baddies elsewhere, because a wrong choice between the two of you would result in the loss of a very valuable civ.

Bronwyn Mightyfeet wrote:Gobnait and Queran, your positions were both well reasoned but I need more time than I've got left during this bright time to think through each one. Gobnait, I don't see your point about Queran's tallies for civvs 4 or 5 times as all that relevant because of two things: one, not counting the dead people there are 9 people who have not casted their choice one or more times. Were they avoiding casting their choice because they did not want to give themselves away or for some other reason? I don't know but I'm suspicious. Also, there are people we just don't know about yet that could be good or bad that people have casted choices for. Either of these things could lead to many more people who could have casted choices for civvs 4 or 5 times. Aside from this point though I found your arguments compelling.

Grutfud Orangesprite wrote:Maybe she's a civ and she just thinks you are bad, and she realizes she can't save herself at this point.

We would like to transfer these votes to Gobnait Gingeriute (Queran's vote is already there).

Thanks!

Day 0 poll -you already knew the vote constraints on. Here are the other Night Polls that affected lynches:

N1:

Grandma's House: Starts day with -1 vote.
Castle: Starts day with +1 vote. (NOTE: Team Big Baddie did not know of this when they made their word of the day "castle" )
Woods: Can not be lynched.

N2
This poll did not affect the lynch or do anything.

N3

Potion: Must post 8 times for their vote to count
Spells: Must post 10 times for their vote to count
Runes: Must post 5 times for their vote to count.

N4:

Story: Must post about their fav grimm story
Character: Must post about their fav grimm character.

N5:

Grimm: Must post about a grimm fairy tale
Asops: Must post about an Asops tale
Mother Goose: must post about a Mother Goose tale.

I think we have everything up now - if there are still any niggling worries or issues or complaints - please pm ME about it. We've already used up too much of sock's time and Rox worked VERY hard on this game for a VERY long time. I'm the one you want to talk to if you still have issues. :srsnod:

All I can say generally is that we did the best we could do with the dice that were rolled to us. We had a full game where only half the members signed up for for one reason or another couldn't participate in. We filled in those roles with the people who died in other roles who wanted to keep playing. (we ADORE our subs btw. You guys kept this game alive) When we thought things were unbalanced we tried our best to make it right.

We did - TRULY strived for a fair game and made several adjustments when we thought things were going unfairly toward one side or the other given how the roles were writ. We're not w/o errors - and we did really seek to amend those errors as best we could. It hurts both the mod and the one who worked so hard on this game that people feel at the end that it's so unfair.

Any further issues should again - be taken up with me - not them. They've already done all they could. I can cross any more t's and dot any more i's you may feel fit to have explained.

I also welcome any criticism about how we could have done things better. But again, I ask that it come to me and not the mod or my co-host. Please feel free to vent my way.

Even though things did not work out like they were supposed to for us, I had a really good time. I think I had more fun portraying the drunken, philandering Djinn with no feet but loves shoes (something of an anti-role hint, since I was really Puss and BOOTS) than I did actually trying to win. I quite enjoy acting, and the Internet has made me a much, much better actor. :haha:

As the Big Bad Baddies, I think we did a swell job running the lynch polls; unfortunately, we never lynched the right people. I was convinced Mainchin Ironbeast was Tom Thumb because he seemed sure that Laine was civilian (The Nixie could appear good in an alignment check). How dismayed I was to learn that he was not Tom Thumb (and Laine herself tried to convince me that I was wrong).

But I want to point this out to everyone: Not ONE of our kills ever went through. We failed at every Night kill attempt we took. So I don't feel bad at all about running the lynches early on. :p

Regarding the Carmen issue there near the end, that wasn't Elohcin; it was me doing the typing, and we were just trying to amuse ourselves since we were denied any chance of victory. I thought it would be really funny to have the normally demure, reserved, quiet Ms. Carmen Brightsun come out with claws and fangs and make wild, aggressive accusations on her last game phase alive. I didn't mean to cause offense by being nasty- it was all an act that I thought would have come across as humorous, but I realize I failed terribly on that front. I did not mean to upset anyone.

Incidentally, we didn't think it was wrong to poke fun at folks who were posting from the wrong account. We were just trying to be witty. We didn't think it was bad for us to do given this post:

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 074#p19074
Kate wrote:waits for first player to post from wrong account.
And then bea's endorsement of it:
bea wrote:
Kate wrote:waits for first player to post from wrong account.
I gotta admit, I kinda am too.
We weren't expecting the Mod to "cover the tracks" of those who had posted from their real accounts, and we genuinely were just trying to salvage the good times to be had despite our sudden misfortune regarding the game proper.

I sincerely hate that my goofing off and amusing myself upset others. I am very sorry about that. :(

Anchorete and Bac are cleared out. And Thanks hostladies, it was a fun, interesting and mysterious game~

And in hindsight, Epi, I know you meant nothing bad by it, but at the time I was hopping mad I had been outed (or Anchorete was hopping mad she had been outed) as SVS as people often suspect me for no reason other than that "SVS is a always bad". No harm no foul, and I don't think that had any bearing on suspicion of me further down the road, although it *felt* so angry at the time. I knew it was not Carmen; but I thought it was Queran behind the keyboard, I even said as much to the mod/host, lol, although I also thought you were egging her on.

And I did not steal her powers, so that whole line of thought confuzzled me ha ha ha~

I am gonna miss Bac, he is such a cute l'il pixie :daisy:

Miyuki account is gutted.

Kate, I did trust you as much as I could, but between what dierdre told me in bts and what my night results were not telling me, I wasn't absolutely sure. I was trying there at the end to hold off on committing until dierdre did.

I barely guessed anyone right in the guessing contest. I thought anchorete was indiglo, until Izett posted the pic of the redhead, and then anchorete mentioned intimidation, i thought she was confirming!
I'm thinking I got about 3 people right.

Hosts, it was a lovely game. After being away from mafia for almost 6 months, my first two games on coming back were the most non-traditional mafia games imaginable. So I enjoyed getting my feet wet finally in something that felt like real mafia!

Dilon and Fane are clean.

I have to say I think we as the Wickeds did a great job avoiding suspicion until the very end. I tried to throw Lyel under the bus early because he was not playing, but when BWT subbed in I had to backtrack a little, which ultimately exposed me. I had great fun acting as Dilon and I'm sad he got killed off so quickly, but glad I got to return as Fane.

I have to tell Izett that llama was very loyal to you and did not betray your BTS after he was no longer a civ. I kept wanting to try and lynch you, and he was saying, "You, know I just have a gut feeling shes a civ" without going into detail; I finally backed off of you because I put two and two together. He never outed you to us, or told us what he may have known from you, or what you discussed in BTS.

Gobnait is clean!

I had a great time playing as her, so thanks to everyone who helped put the game together. Having an info role was exciting, and I was dead by the time any controversies arose, so they didn't affect my experience a bit.

DH, you did a more or less perfect job of defending yourself against my unceasing accusations, but killing me was a bad move because everyone believed me after seeing my role. It was fun (albeit a bit frustrating at times) sparring with you.

And DP, I realized you were Finnian right after I voted you on Day 5, when someone said it was obvious who you were. I just sat there with my mouth open thinking "Oh no, what have I done?"

First I would like to thank Bea without her help this game would never have happened. She is awesome and such a beautiful person to help and say all the right things. <3

Next I would like to thank all the newer players - you know who you are and I want to say job well done - you all played a very good game. I was so impressed that none of you messed up with your sock accounts. Someday maybe we will play together. <3

A side special note to Stormcrow - she played fantastically - even after my mistake that made it so her team would not win she handled herself with grace, dignity and was very understanding about the situation. For that I am in your undying debt Stormcrow. Again sorry to your entire team of The Big Bad Baddies. <3

To all those I begged to play - thank you all for playing and sticking it out I appreciate you answering my PM and playing <3

To everyone who was a replacer - xxoo <3 This game would have had massive mod kills if not for you all. Each and everyone of you played superbly. I owe each one of you a debt I may or may not ever re-pay - but suffice to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

So many of you played a great game that would have me laughing one minute and holding my breath in anticipation the next :
Gobnait/Rustifinko
Queran/DH
Rhinfrew/Epignosis
Bac/SVS
Bronwyn/Juliets
Shand/Ajira
Fane/llama
Mainchin/Snow Dog
etc/etc

Way too many to list :p - I loved how you all played the game <3

I had threatened my info roles with instant death should they info dump and I was pleased how they did not. Thanks for that <3

Finally - if you have not cleared your sock accounts I have done it for you <3

Thanks for everyones patience and participation much <3 to you all.
