There we go.

Voting me is kind of a waste of time. I won't be able to get a better sense of the game or what's going on until tomorrow night.
So unless you think I'm the least likely to be town here...
In which case, the game state is pretty unhealthy.

I'm very aware I'm not doing much to help.
Although, I'm also genuinely a free town read, but there would probably be a lot of mental resistance to that and who knows etc.

Fargo Mafia - ok this was from a year ago. This is one of fs's most active games I've seen, she spent a lot of time early on talking about pretty much anything but reads, and even her reads were not very strong at the start.
Mafia Syndicate Normal Game - this is from a few months ago, fs barely posted, and her posts were all very short, and she does seem stilted in this one.

I'm not seeing either of these things from her. Yes fingersplints doesn't post a lot, but that is normal for her (and really it's that the rest of us just post way too much). What I have seen here is an almost immediate attempt to generate reads, explain them, and she's also considering how the game will play out based on flips and looking ahead, an approach which appears to be lacking in her scum meta.

I'd call her town right now.
Does Finger tend to use aggressive phrasing as town when questioned?
Have I used aggressive phrasing?
Yup tbh!
Or well it is hard to put words on what I identified there tbh

It depends on your uesr settings. The best way to figure out what timezone you're currently set to is to wait until someone makes a post (or make one yourself), and then see what the timestamp says.

You can then compare that timestamp to the poll's timestamp to see when day will end.

Meh, there are worse votes out there. A few better ones from people who I think are actively scummy, but your play, along with your knowledge about your own meta makes you unreadable thus far IMO, which means you're solid PoE.

I should probably explain why I think she's mafia.
Her posts doesn't go anywhere.
I think she knew Falcon was town and that is coming through in her posts, for example when talking about Mac's read on Falcon.
Her vote on me is preemptive self pres, with added non-reasoning.
And yes, it is silly. But I think she would feel the urge to do that as mafia, and not town.

Just my feelings on it.

JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 12:45 pm @Seanzie what do you think prohibits the existence of opportunism in the early stages of a Day 1 preceded by 24 hours of Day 0 discourse?
A vote with 47 hours left in the day does not really put that person in danger, except in the most extreme of circumstances. The worst it might do is bring slightly more attention to that person, but I'd barely call that "opportunistic". More likely, making an early wagon even bigger is probably more likely to protect that person than anything else - picking up suspicion early on allows for a lot of time for feelings to soften and doubt to sink in, plus if a wagon gets too big early on, people will assume foul play and likely back off.

In the wolf!Ender hypothetical, did you feel their vote was set there? Did you feel that vote put Wilgy in significant danger? What benefit did wolf!Ender really hope to gain from their "opportunistic" vote? Why was it opportunistic rather than distancing, or just a thing to make Ender look like he was doing something/having thoughts?
I'll give a perspective on this because I agree that an early vote can still be opportunistic, in a couple ways. Just thinking in a w!Ender t!Wilgy world for a second here. One way is that he was following your vote, so it can be an easy way to nudge a wagon into forming on someone who's town, while also hopefully making you feel good about Ender because he's agreeing with you (I see it a lot that wolves will sheep reads or sheep votes early on). A second way it can be opportunistic is gamestate; Ender had a vote at that point, so it had the effect of putting another wagon ahead of his without drawing attention to it being self-pres.

Now, that said I don't really see it as unpairing given how early it is, so I wouldn't give it much weight for JJJ's purposes.

however, Ender says I have a town entrance on meta (still unexplained as far as I know).

I agree that my play is probably quite unusual, meta wise.

Meh, the votes weren't that dangerous IMO. Twice he was the lone vote on Marmot for a while, and then the last one he was a second vote (when Falcon had 4 votes). I think I agree with your overall point though, since I don't think he'd vote for Marmot 3 times on day one if they were partners.
Semantics are semantics.

Point is you look at those votes too and you're like "Does Rondo really do this as wolf?"

I've never actually played with Boq, Nate, or lucy, nor have I put much thought into my read of them this game, which is why they are here. Sean, I don't recall having reason to believe is town (actually I did list one, but I no longer feel that reasoning exists), and Ender was the player I think looks most suspicious thus far.

I don't feel comfortable with the state of this read list, so I will put some effort into adjusting this, both in further informing my poor reads and also further pursuing if I still feel that my light town reads are still townie. I do feel confident on Wilgy and Jay at least.
You put Ender scum but dont point to anything specific? I know what I would point to as pretty suspicious behaviour but what do you see?
I talked about it at the end of Day 1, but his progression to a vote on falcon was non-existant after stating an early townread.

His progression on me today is basically the same. He placed a vote on me without reason. He also stated around that time that he would spend some time investigating a couple other players (I think lucy and fs). I suggested he investigate me given he was voting for me, and his response was "if I have time"

My concern with Ender Day 1 was that he was looking for a way to join the falcon wagon even though he couldn't nor hadn't found a reason to do so, and now that he's doing it to me today, I'm more convinced.
I know you were suspicious of Ender late yesterday due to his progression into voting Falcon, does Falcon flipping town change how you see that at all?

falcon flipping town didn't impact my read much, but that was because one of my primary reasons for suspecting Ender is his handling of falcon (which I'll be honest gave me the thought that falcon was probably town, but I couldn't come to that conclusion from reading falcon's ISO, so I was ok with going forward with the yeet anyway).

I have waffled on Ender since for other reasons, but I still haven't found a confident position yet.

The concern I have with Wilgy today is that this is the information he has volunteered, and it consists solely of an intention to kill Ender. It's very singularly-focused.

On a related note, Ender has not mentioned Wilgy yet today, nor responded to his vote. I'm not sure what to make of that (it could be that he just hasn't been around since Wilgy's vote).
Wilgy's vote isn't really something I feel I need to respond to anyway
Why not?

Sometimes.

I'd say this is me when I'm having fun vs being serious.

Which is not AI, it's RLI.

You will see me be serious in Champs because pressure/expectation.

You might see me be serious on Syndicate.

See Dizzy as prime target? I accept this.

Ender/Marmot/Seanzie are also acceptable.

What's goin on in the thread?

Understood. Now how about Wiggin?

Because it's... a vote?

I don't think I need to discuss every vote on me.

I haven't seen any striking reasons I need to counter.

I just exist in a state that sometimes gets votes.

What policy/reasoning specifically?
That post was in response to Rondo self-admittedly trolling.

It is a thing she has done . I dont really care too much because I knew it was coming and it makes me happy
Why would someone attacking you make you happy?
Because I am a giant troll and love when I can elicit an emotional reaction from people. Ala, you entering thread and insta voting me. Its predictability is food for the soul. It just makes me happy

What is your goal in this game Ender?

Like, I care more about the fact that I'm building a little cadre of town people and trying to sort out why I felt like the consensus D1 towns were sus because that's the backbone of my approach to today.
