He already has a vote from Llama, all the people who have votes that aren't Boogs have one vote. It is as good of a shot as any.

Jesus, Boogs, if you figured you might have needed your vote to save yourself, why did you vote for Spacedaisy so early?

I am wondering this myself considering he's had people voting for him for a while now.

i had something longer typed up but ipad died.

if AP needs a replacement then I'll vote there and give Boogs a chance. His frustration seems legit, but I am not sure how I feel about all this.

votes AP

6 more votes yet to come in. Should be an interesting finish. I'm hoping that either way, we can deduce some good info frm the voters once the lynchee flips.

Sorry for not getting on recently. Anyway, I voted for AP because I don't recall Boogs ever pinging me that much, but AP has been far less helpful, especially his votes.

I also have not caught up on the thread, was just quickly posting my vote and thoughts.

Day 7 -- Out of Town

Image

And so the group left the town on the lake, and departed north, up the Running River, and toward their final destination: the Lonely Mountain. (In truth, they did not depart of their own accord. They were given boats and driven out of town. The only villager still willing to befriend them, the Knife-Seller, had organized supplies and offered to go with them. He saw chiefly a business opportunity, because there was relatively little knifing to be done in Lake-Town, and he also longed for a bit of adventure.)

Anyway, off they went, and the Mountain loomed ahead, smoking and ominous. They were fully aware that the Dragon knew of their coming, and many of their eyes stayed locked on the Mountain, fearing to see his great red form shoot out of the ancient dwarven gates he rived asunder many generations of Men ago.

This air of foreboding, and the recent deaths of not only their Burglar but also their King, weighed heavily on their minds. The discussion that day was heated and contentious, and a number of scuffles broke out which nearly overturned one or another of the boats. (This would have been disastrous, since dwarves are notoriously poor swimmers, the departed Thorin being a rare exception. Leaderless, the dwarves were displaying less discipline than their wont.

The conversation that morning began dominated by talk of Boogs. He put up an impassioned defense of his innocence, and swayed enough opinions to put A Person under the eye of suspicion as well. The company, by nightfall, was standing up in boats shouting at one another and pointing fingers. They had even ceased to look at the Mountain.

By nightfall, the sizes of the groups looked fairly equal, and no one was sure what would happen. Perhaps the company would come to blows, or even be riven just as those ancient gates, abandoning their quest and the hope of a return to their homeland.

However, one member of the group shouted above all the others. Their voice echoed over the low foothills through which their boats drifted, and drowned out the other voices as well as the dip of oars.

Drowned was exactly what they did. When they pulled the limp body back up to the surface, they saw pointed ears, and a ring of key's around Boogs's pockets.

Boogs has been lynched. He was the Wood Elf Gaoler.

Night 7 -- The Lonely Stream

The group rowed on. When they drowned Boogs, some of them had raised their eyes to the heavens, and those saw the Mountain and were daunted by what awaited them. They had been in very real danger before now, but it seemed to pale in comparison to Smaug, who had destroyed entire armies in his heyday.

Others did not mourn the loss of a Wood-Elf, because they were known to be a wayward people and to be possessed of unreadable motives and tendencies.

They could do nought but row on, coming ever closer to the Mountain. The moon rose as they watched, above the forest they had crossed through at great peril. It was huge and dark orange, and seemed to hang low in the sky as if burdened by a great weight. They wondered if it would ever be able to reach its zenith.

There will be no poll tonight, because there's really nothing to be decided on this river besides whether you dare sleep. You can instead earn 100 gold by posting.

Tonight's riddle is a guest submission, and it is freakin' impressive. 300 gold has been awarded to the submitter, as promised. Take your best shot:

When The King held it, he was seen halfway in the lands,
And The Miller made The Joker with it in his hands.
With it did The Prince precipitate to fame
And soon thereafter The Artist he became.
For Summers and Winters, it made the way;
And for The Queen was it remade in May.
Did the boys come back when it was with The Moore?
Though it had six, The Squire liked four.
And still many others have clamored for seven.
The Page bore it once and wrote the way to Heaven.

Effective immediately, juliets is replacing in for Lizzy. She may not be NKed tonight nor lynched tomorrow.

Thanks TH and hello everyone else! I've got some re-reading to do but I've been skimming to see what's happening since I've been gone. One thing I didn't grasp that maybe someone could help me out with is does anyone have suspicions of Lizzy or was the talk about lynching her just because she needed to be replaced? I didn't quite follow that part. I am not coming into the game with any suspicions - reading along I felt much like Dom and llama expressed, not seeing anything I can hang my hat on with the posters and then there are some who have been low posters that I have no idea about. I'll try to rectify this situation as soon as possible - hopefully there is something to glean from the Boogs lynch (RIP Boogs). One last thing, I'm on vacation but will have plenty of time to read and post. I just won't be around as frequently as I usually am.

I'm getting worse at this; I've never missed this many votes, and I'm so sorry since I'm not a prolific poster, either. Amazing how time off can leave little time for being online. I will try to be better.

RIP Boogs :( I wasn't really sure who I was gonna vote, but it wasn't you as I said, and now it's definitely time for some re-re-reads.

Can't sleep. Clowns will eat me. Also, rowing and sleeping don't go well together.

Agreed. I actually believed him about that part. maybe he had a busy day and needed to be silenced.

WB juliets! As to your question I believe there was some suspicion of Lizzy mentioned before she needed to be replaced, but I dont know the specifics. Maybe those who brought it up could chime in.

Bye Lizzy. :( But welcome back juliets! :)

:rip: Sorry Boogs. That explains a looooot. Sorry I didn't put the pieces together sooner...I wanted to lynch AP earlier on in the game because of my suspicion of him sneaking in to vote at the last minute but never posting explanations; at that point no one would jump on that lynch wagon with me! Sorry I was a dummy and didn't realize I had an ENTIRE DAY to think over my vote and your wagon got jumped on. :/ Bummer, dude.

It isn't when it's a presentation and panel interview for a promotion with work. I've been working on this thing and tweaking it constantly for almost a week and a half now. :P

Welcome back!
I think someone mentioned lynching her or AP because they needed to be replaced as a way to get out of lynching Boogs, for some reason people felt good about Boogs. I'm not quite sure if they were good at reading Boog's playstyle or they were part of the team that hasn't lost any members and just didn't think Boogs was the remaining member.
I don't like to entertain the idea of lynching those who are going to be modkilled, but I was starting to get a bit suspicious of Lizzy because of her suspicion related to me. She was suspicious of me for something I didn't think made all that much sense (because originally I didn't mention Epi and instead said I thought I knew who I would vote vote and later changed my mind), and kind of refused to accept my explanation. So, I'm still cautious of her/you, now. She sided against me pretty hard in the FZ debate although FZ had done something similar to what I had done and FZ herself was saying it wasn't abnormal of us. So I'm really not sure, originally I felt it was genuine but looking back, IDK.

Wlcome back Juliets.

Ok I am obviously shit at this game. I have concentrated so much on my conviction that poor Boogs was bad I am not sure who else is suspect.

The fact that Epignosis led the hunt on lynching two baddies from the same team doesn't rule him out from being on the Town Goblin team does it?

Also any baddies amongst the Boogs voters possibly? I mean besides me and CBK who were after him from the beginning for genuine reasons I believe.
