Don't forget!

Because of the wacky day ending early, we have a new period ending time; Night 9 is scheduled to end at 6:02PM EST. However, I may give a little bit of a grace period as I just arrived home and need to eat dinner and such before the post. I still need any remaining night PMs though!

Night 9: Psychic Jugglers

Yet another portal had collapsed upon itself and the players were left with just one. AceofSpaces was impatient, anticipating another unfortunate incident, and decided to check it out for himself. He walked into the portal and fell onto a floor with nothing around him but black space. The floor tile was patterned with a giant Ace of Spades. "Weird..." he muttered. He wandered for about an hour until out of nowhere, a man wearing an eyeball mask (in actuality a hologram) walked up behind him and slit his throat.

A ghost appeared to reywaS at the stroke of midnight. The ghost was feminine, with short hair and a gracefully aged face. Her soprano voice seemed to gently vibrate the air around reywaS' room. "Who goes there?" reywaS asked. "I am Julie Andrews," she intoned. "Or I used to be. I cannot tell." "What do you want from me?" reywaS asked. "I have been search of my murderer, a demented hater of musicals," she said, "And having viewed these events these past nine nights, I believe you are connected with him." Then, without warning, Julie Andrews opened her pursed mouth and started to sing: "When Herman bites / When the Voice stings / When I'm feeling dead / I think of revenge and how good it would feel / To finally have your heads!" Then she vanished.

BoatsBoatsBoats was busy sleeping in his room when Herman the Hologram creaked open his door. "YES, HERMAN SMASH ONCE AGAIN!!!! FINALLY!!!!" It lifted both fists into the air and was about the smash the bed when BoatsBoatsBoats woke up. Herman, startled, aborted his kill and ran away.

Upon dawn, the other players stepped into Portal 3 and it closed behind them, and they immediately were overwhelmed. The atmosphere could only be described as bizarre -- with twisting colors of purple, blue, and black all around them, the ceilings, walls, and floors indistinguishable. Many of them felt very dizzy and could hardly stand. Nonetheless, the lynch of an infiltrator had to continue.

AceofSpaces has been killed by The Residents.
BoatsBoatsBoats survived a kill attempt by Herman the Planet Smasher.

There was 1 missing PM.

It is now Day 10. You have 48 hours to option someone.

Well hold on, there's gotta be a system here, even if it's completely convoluted and avant-garde. It's probably not alphabetical, although that would be an excellent troll. Maybe each number is assigned to each player based on voting order or something?

I agree that there must be a system, but the idea about voting order...no one voted on Day 9.

I'll vote option 1 since that is where I would be if it were to be in alpha order. And if it is, then I will laugh.

I was thinking the order we voted today, like a self-referential thing. But that's just spitballing.

Nah, that wouldn't work either. Say some people didn't vote- then they don't get placed in the poll, which means they are (technically) exempt from the lynch.

But who the hell knows in this exercise?

Many "suns" rise in the west and set in the east.

As a side note, The Truth and rabbit were on the same team, Ziltoids. They were also grouped together in a voting group produced by my research.

How's that for "useless mumbo jumbo"

Statistically speaking, if you randomized voting, you could show similar results. ;)

I find it amusingly ironic that you put so much stock in your circumstantial data, yet you are categorically convinced that I am someone I am not, despite my demonstrations of who can and cannot be Herman based on the criteria of the game set forth from the beginning.

It almost makes me consider you desperate. :ponder:

There are other possible Herman candidates, yet you set upon me, and have been set upon me, again on nothing more than circumstantial evidence.

And yet, even if I were lynched and shown not to be Herman, you admit you would still believe I was Herman. Incredible!

Alas, then nothing I can say- nay, nothing that would ever happen!- can persuade you. Fortunately for me, it appears you have already spent what little power you had in destroying me.
