Quin opened the game by giving nova some crap, and when nova turned it around Quin stuck his tongue out. He dished it but did not take it. I already explained my reasons for leaving the conversation there. I wanted to see his natural progression of thought.
When I forced him to take it, he went full OMGUS
Quin and I exchanged barbs for a while until it ended here, with Quin acknowledging that he'd missed a nova post of importance. Nonetheless, he has recently returned to his suspicion of me, specifically citing this early game spat as the reason why -- a spat which dissolved when he realized he goofed.
Posting this to reinforce the point above. Have you recently rediscovered what you were on about? I don't even remember the first half of the post.
Quin got super cranky about this thing with Dizzy, and it looked like caught for the wrong reasons.Quin wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 8:28 pmHe wifomised my night kill analysis. "Because nova made no explicit reads, I think the nova kill was a smart kill which doesn't reflect badly on anybody" got turned into "no but the kill was actually clever come on guyezzz". Fuck that.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 8:26 pmWhat is the correct interpretation, and why does this make Dyslexicon bad?Quin wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 8:21 pmhate this. literally both parts are wrong. not even a misinterpretation. wrong.Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 6:45 pmI second this actually. I also don't like that he was the one to be like "no but the kill was actually clever come on guyezzz" for more or less silly reasons, but like, I think Quin would be a player that would be low key bothered if other players called his play not smart. : p Does that make sense?ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 5:17 pm Oh and I forgot Quin ... Quin is pretty inscrutable to me and I don't like that.

"More or less silly reasons" is just the icing on the cake.
The "marmot is bad" part is of interest, because later Quin would return to declare Marmot his top civilian read. What was different at this stage, Quin? I hadn't spend over half an hour ISOing the guy. I agreed with an accusation lapluie laid out.
He self-voted because being lynched was irrelevant -- he's Caerbannog. I dug my own grave on purpose by self-voting if this is true. Nobody else could take that lynch. What motivation do I then have for coming back in such a glorious fashion as I did?

It was surprisingly natural and plausible to make a case on:

The case does require a lot of infusion from my own interaction with Dizzy, which invites personal bias on my part. With that in mind, I would appreciate feedback.

I'm inclined to agree with this. Fuck's sake. I don't think I've ever even done this exercise before.nutella wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 12:26 amI'm inclined to agree with this. nutella's reads continue to change in ways that make me question my reality and the deterministic nature of the universe. She is operating at the quantum level, subject to pure randomness and chance in ways no other Mafia player has experienced.![]()
I'll immediately say I think doing this looks good for you at least. You would know as well as anyone that going in with the conclusion that a person is bad is a crappy approach and you did it anyway. The follow-up makes it worth a damn in my eyes.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 12:23 amIt's fine, I'm being a butt. ok, this review convinces me that your exercise had productive intentions (and is in fact similar to what I said I should do earlier -- isoing people and seeing how easy or hard it is to find suspicious content). I still think it's something you would absolutely do as mafia to keep up appearances. Maybe I'm just scarred from Mountains with the GTH exercise.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 12:13 am I felt like I was spewing pure bullshit when I tried to make cases on these people:

I was about to be and was following along closely. G had told me that if Floyd hadn't shown up by the end of Day 2 I'd be replacing in at the lynch post, so I followed that lynch with as much anticipation as any living player.
I had a similar experience when I ISOed Dyslexicon earlier today -- I was expecting them to look mostly town but I came out of it with pretty much no solid reason to town read them (and not much solid reason to scum read them to be fair, but there is a little bit that points me in that direction, including the Gladys stuff).JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 12:38 am I am particularly interested in Dizzy and Colin. It seemed like an awkward way for a NP to phrase it, is all. I do believe it though. You have enough NP posts that it makes sense you were following the thread.nutella wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 12:42 amI was about to be and was following along closely. Gladys should also claim if she manages to identify all of the living dentists. She effectively becomes vanilla then. I just realised all civilian deaths have been dentists. ChristJaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 12:45 am I will again stress that if a suspect is a power role, you should consider claiming. I'm not telling you that you must, and I realize that people will be spooked when I say this, but it could go a long way toward sorting out POE. If you're not in any immediate danger, don't worry about it -- just make sure any information you possess can be identified in your posts without too much confusion when you're gone. Gladys Campbell in particular is running out of dentists to check.

Mac's content matters, and you're the last perform for whom I will ignore WIFOM. That's not all of it either.

A guy I have personally caught as a bad guy for engaging in WIFOM nonsense entered this game as a replacement and immediately said "I got a mafia role card".
