The Director and the Execubots are seated around a spacious conference table. The Director's eyes are downcast.

"It's not getting them off their tractors anymore," explains Execubot 2.

"We calculate the show needs a 4.35% increase in attitude. You are only capable of producing a 2.3% increase. We hope that you understand," chimes in Execubot 3.

"You stinking robots don't know what you want! This show was something special, and you bastards blew it up!" The Director had taken their senseless redirection long enough. He was going to let them hear it.

"I liked that," replied Execubot 1.

"But it's too late. This attitude is not enough to save you. We are moving in a younger, hipper direction with All My Circuits.

speedchuck has been lynched. He was the Director.
It is Night 7. You have up to 24 hours to submit your night actions.

Night 7

On the set of All My Circuits, the last day of filming before the season wraps. Calculon enters an empty sound stage and looks around. Where is everyone? Usually there's a bustle of commotion around him to begin the day. Where are those drones who make the show happen around his glorious aura?

Suddenly a door swings open in the distance. From across the room he sees the Execubots enter.

"What have you done to my show, you cold, calculating animals?" Calculon demanded.

"We fixed it," began an Execubot, "The Director lost touch with the audience. Monique was driving viewers away by holding you back."

"Everyone knows this is Calulon's show, and so that's what we've turned it into. Isn't this what you wanted?"

The Execubots surrounded him. He could see a sinister light in their eyebulbs. And yet... were they wrong? It was clear to him, Calculon, that he was the star of the show. Why shouldn't he have the stage to himself? For a moment he began to consider their position, and he believed it.

But then a rare moment of something resembling humility came over Calculon. If there is no one to share the spotlight, can he really be the star? The brightest star rises to that point by outshining all the others. With no cast and crew, Calculon would merely be a dim bulb dangling in a forgotten storage closet. No. This was ludicrous. He needed all his circuits for the show to work. Calculon snapped into a fit of rage.

"Curse you, foul beelzebots! A pox on whatever programming drove you to this moment! If the show is to go on, it will go on without your interference!"

In his madness, Calculon grabbed a magnet off the prop refrigerator. He waved menacingly at the Execubots.

"Be gone, all of you! I'm not afraid to use this!"

"Calculon, be rational!" they pleaded, creeping toward the exit.

Calculon charged, and they fled. As the door closed behind them, Calculon fell to his knees and wept. They had done everything in their power to ruin his show. But they had not cancelled it. As long as Calculon remained, All My Circuits could stay on the air. He'd saved the show, even if it was only hanging on by one loose, dangling wire.

sprityo has been killed. He was Monique.
NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME has been killed. He was the Network Execubots.
sabie12 is the lone survivor. She was Calculon.

I do kind of want to apologize to the mafia team for something they haven't mentioned: the timing of the replacement. I wanted to replace Enrique sooner but was not hearing back from folks. I asked speedchuck as a last resort right before end game and he hopped in. I greatly appreciate him for bringing life to a dead player slot.

But the role had been inactive for the entire game, which means that he was then a 4-shot inventor with a full arsenal for the final phase. It was pretty much a layup from there, for him to hand a kill to sabie and for sabie to shoot right the final night. Ideally, the inventor role is exhausted earlier, or at least the vig kill is, and that player slot is resolved sooner as well. But at the same time, the influence of that role earlier in the game could very easily have dramatically changed the landscape in any direction. We'll never know.

That said, I don't wish to take anything away from anyone in this game. sabie, as calculon, still needed to remain alive and be town-read to that point to be given the shot. The town had to work to get into that position despite a fluky Day 1 cop lynch and the absence of one of their most powerful roles, and the mafia team had done well to pick off other roles that were in their way (Doctor Epi was completely neutralized after making one save). The game came down to the wire after everything. I felt like either team could have won at various points during the game.

Regarding "no claiming" rules and possible violations: there's always going to be a gray area there. I can't ask players not to have theories about the remaining players and roles, but it does get a bit messy when the pool is so small. I designed this game to be a throwback to the earlier days of the Syndicate when open setups and restricted claims were in vogue. That's what I wanted it to be and that's what it was. I hope that everybody at least had fun playing it. Thank you all.

Wow I actually won the game! I agonized over that decision but ultimately there were some things that stuck out that made me think I had to kill off nanook. I was reasonably certain speed was the director but I knew I had to survive til night phase in order to win and I didn't want nanook trying to lynch me at the last second. I had kind of screwed up on misinterpreting a rule but I figured it out. This was an intense game and everyone did a great job. I enjoyed playing with everyone.

Ted I know to you my play style may seem weird but I really am a very strategic player. I wouldn't have lived to the end if I wasn't. You just have to get to know people's styles.

Also while this game has been going on I have been having a super crazy difficult time at work so being here often can be difficult.

I thought Nanook was town in the end, but I had the same Paranoia about them as I had with novas, maybe that's why I got killed?
I tracked Sabie in the end meh...

I rly loved this game, the mechanics, it was awesome, thanks for the game everyone and well played both mafia and town! <3
