Man, I just went through Oddmerta's ISO and I am just not seeing the case for him being a frontrunner in the poll. I'm not even sure how to parse the sentence, 'he has trouble finding an actual tunnel for genuine reasons'.

Didn't like my interaction with him. Didn't like how he had no reason behind his reads. During our interaction, it felt like he was riding that "I can't be touched" wave and wasn't being super responsive.

There was a regular player from a while ago, whose name I am shocked and ashamed to have forgotten, who played almost exactly like that—no matter their alignment. Maybe that's why I'm unmoved by Oddmerta. It just doesn't register as scummy behavior, especially on a D0/D1. But maybe the culture's changed.

i had mentally sorted strawhenge and fingersplints into the same tier of: "back after a long absence with towny openings". as my townread on strawhenge grew more confident with time, i decided that i wanted to re-evaluate my feelings about fingersplints as well

i took a peek at fingersplints ISO and got pinged by this post: https://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewt ... 29#p760229 . it felt to me like fingersplints was trying to "establish" his position in the game without actually believing in the stuff that he was saying. i was turned off by him outing a bunch of consensus townreads with the reasoning of: "this person feels genuine". i also felt that he had some strong reasoning on https://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewt ... 63#p760363 that he immediately invalidated by going out of his way to emphasize that he didn't have any ~actual~ read on long con

those two posts were enough for me to park my vote on him overnight and see how the thread played around it. i'm not sure about him being a wolf, but i do have some concerns about him. i am relatively lukewarm about his most recent posting

What happened to you? I feel like you used to be really good at reading me, and lately you proclaim me Wolf in the first post you notice me in, when I'm town. When I'm a wolf you come along for the ride in a completely sketchy vote on Epignosis on Day 1, but, man... let me know after the game if it's just because you be wolfin', otherwise we should figure this out.

To be fair I tend to think wagon formations and "wagonomics" and those sorts of things are not nearly as useful as they'd need to be to justify how often they are assessed. I just don't care much about that kind of stuff.

Generally speaking LC is correct. More often than not, particularly early in the game Mafia teammates are compelled to not be voting side by side naked. It's a common enough trope that in the absence of anything overwhelmingly pointing to the contrary it would be ok to view the pair as likely unaligned. I think him reaching for it as a defense in the way he did came off a little pleading for LC. It kinda TMI'd Oddmerta. His pleading was too earnest.

Ok, well first of all, there was no pleading. Second of all, you seem to have fallen down the same misunderstanding rabbit hole that others did. I never used "Mafia members don't vote side by side" as a defense, reachingly or otherwise.

Alison has hard-vouched for Oddmerta. Folks who have voted for him should speak about that.

I don't usually base my suspicions based on such things unless the speaker has mechanical info.
